Chapter 1028: A New Class

Chapter 1028: A New Class

As he hadn’t become an Origin back then, Valyr was only able to unlock the ability to give classes and subclasses to others after fulfilling the feature’s original condition, which was to form a Legacy.

However, unlike the current situation, where he felt like giving a class to someone else was meaningful, the thought of giving anyone else a class or subclass based off his strength did not cross his mind at the time.

After all, even though he was part of the frontlines that participated in the final battle, his strength wasn’t all that great when compared to other people in that same battle.

Aside from that, the rarity of his classes and skills were only slightly better than the bare minimum at best, which meant that he would only be able to create classes and subclasses that would only be alluring to those that were new to Greater Beyond.

Of course, with all of that knowledge carrying over onto his current life, it went without saying that the man’s strength was unlike before, reaching a high level of strength with a class and subclass that would leave many glaring at him with envy.

Not only that, but he was even able to wield various energies that were considered rare to many players, only to take it one step further by creating a brand new type of energy.

Considering the amount of strength he currently wielded, Valyr had a strong feeling that any class or subclass he made through the feature would be highly sought after.

‘Then again, I do have that Growth-type title,’ thought the young man to himself, focusing his attention on the screen before him with both excitement and expectation.

‘I guess the system is telling me this feature would allow me to increase the number of beings connected to my Origin… or something along those lines at least.’

Taking the time to remove all the errant thoughts in his mind, Valyr let out a long exhale as he took a look at the information written on the screen.

[Please select a base class for the class or subclass you wish to create.]

Though he did not really use [Power Impartation] in his past life, Valyr still went through the various steps back then out of curiosity, thinking that the information would eventually come in handy.

‘Three steps, if I remember correctly,’ inwardly muttered the young man to himself as he chose to create a class using the Warrior class as the base.

‘First, you choose the base class. After that, you select the main piece of equipment the class uses, the general skill set the class would lean towards, as well as the general allocation of stats once the class is equipped.’ Sᴇaʀch* Thᴇ n0vᴇl(ꜰ)ire.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

‘Then, once the rough skeleton of the class is formed through those steps, only then would you be able to infuse your power into it, elevating the class to something that could be considered truly unique.’

Nodding as he went over the steps in his mind, Valyr moved onto the next step of the process, immediately assigning the sword as the main weapon of the class.

‘I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have him wield other types of swords as well,’ thought the young man to himself after pondering over it for a bit, bringing up everything he could recall about the man’s combat style.

As far as he could remember from the first monster tide he participated in, Valyr recalled that Damian had a class called Sword Dancer at the time.

He also recalled that the man gracefully moved through the monsters during the tide because of it, mimicking the various ebbs and flows of a river as he landed hit upon hit on the monsters with his sword.

Though he was unsure whether or not Damian still had a similar class after ascending to the peak of Rank 4, Valyr still continued to set all of the other sword types as the equipment the future class would use, confident that it would still result in an amazing class.

With the main equipment now set, he then moved onto the general skill set of the class, which The decided to rely on his memories once more.

‘A skill set that melds offense and defense together,’ muttered Valyr to himself inwardly as he gave the system a rough idea of what he had in mind.

Creating a couple of skills as he followed his thoughts and instincts, it did not take long for the system to take over, refining his rough ideas into various skills that even began to catch his interest.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

By the time Valyr finished creating the class’ general skill set, a holographic image soon appeared atop the screen before him, which went through the various skills he’d come up with that were further refined by the system.

Surprisingly, the holographic image showed a fine balance between both offense and defense, making use of sets of various movements to create dances that would have a specific purpose.

Alongside a few buffing skills that elevated the power of those dances to greater heights, the young man eventually nodded in satisfaction as he moved onto the general allocation of the -class’ stats.

“Most of the focus would be on AGI and DEX, forming a balance of sorts,” said the young man to the system, which the latter began to record as various values on the screen before him

began to change.

“Then, STR and PER would take second priority, which would both increase the power and the range of the dances respectively.”

“VIT would be the third priority as there is still a need to increase the defensive ability of the class, while those in the last priority would be the three stats I haven’t mentioned.”

By the time the young man was done explaining the allocation of the class’ stats, the system went silent for a bit, processing all of the information the young man had given it into something that was more tangible.

Fortunately, it did not take long for the system to tell Valyr that it was done processing his explanation, finally allowing him to move onto the final step of the class creation process.

[Please select the attributes that you would like your class to inherit.]

As this line of text appeared on the screen before him, Valyr was immediately bombarded by a long list of skills, powers, energy types, and attributes, all of which surprisingly came from

him.

Realizing this, the young man was briefly left at a loss for words, causing him to scratch the back of his head as he was reminded of the journey he’d gone through thus far.

Taking in a deep breath to calm his senses, he then proceeded to choose a couple of attributes that would set the class apart, selecting [Intermediate Sword Mastery], [Advanced Combat Mastery], and [Advanced Weapon Mastery] to improve its power.

Then, recalling the thought he had at the beginning of the process, he chose Prime Azure Energy as the main energy type for the class, somewhat expectant as to what kind of effects it

would bring.

Choosing a few more miscellaneous skills that rounded out the abilities of the class, it was only then did Valyr finalize the class creation process, giving the system all the time to do its

thing.

Ding!

Eventually, the system told him that the class he formed was successful, causing the excitement and expectation Valyr suppressed all this time to erupt once more as he took a look at the series of notifications he received.

[The system is processing all of the user’s inputs…]

[Verifying the feasibility of the class…]

[Gauging the ability and strength of the class…]

[…]

[The system has completed its assessment of the created class.]

[The system has named the class ‘Prime Azure Bladedancer’.]

[The system has classified the rarity of the class to be Epic, with the potential to reach Mythic

through class ascension.]

[Would you like to impart the class?]

Seeing that the class he’d created was classified by the system to be Epic grade, Valyr’s eyes widened in disbelief as his mouth went slightly agape.

Then, giving himself some time to process what he’d just read, the young man soon burst into a grin, only to let out laughter that attracted the attention of multiple passersby. Ignoring the attention his laughter had attracted, Valyr moved the screens that were currently in front of him to the side, commanding the system to give him the description of the class

he’d just created.

Ding!

[Prime Azure Bladedancer] (Class)

Rarity: Epic

Imbued with the power of the Prime Azure Origin, this class showcases a remarkable ability in both offense and defense through the various sword dances it displays.

With the help of Prime Azure Energy, these various sword dances could be taken one step further, giving one with the class the ability to act unimpeded anywhere on the battlefield.

As Prime Azure Energy is considered a newly created energy by the Apparatus, this class has been given a high classification, showing great potential to blossom into something far stronger through the system’s ascension process.

For each level gained in this class, the user gains +6 VIT, +5 STR, +8 AGI, +8 DEX, +3 INT, +3 WIS, +5 PER, +1 LUK, and 5 unassigned stat points (stat gain is based off user’s current rank).

“…Hey, Valyr. What are you doing out here?”

Just as Valyr had the urge to cackle as he finished reading through the description of the class

he created, Damian had appeared in front of him all of a sudden, looking at the young man

with a slight smile.

“Alfaera and Tristan are waiting for you inside, you know?” said the man, pointing at the town hall’s entrance.

In response to the man’s words, Valyr nodded as he closed all of the screens he brought up, inwardly taking a deep breath in a bid to control his excitement. “Yeah, I’ll come along.” “But before that, how about I show you how I became this strong?”

“Er… sure, I guess?” Though he was confused by the suddenness of Valyr’s words, Damian

decided to agree to the young man’s request for the meantime, allowing his curiosity towards Valyr’s strength to take the lead.

However, just as he thought that Valyr would just give him a brief explanation of the various things he’d done to get to where he currently was, he was instead greeted by a few notifications from the system, which caused him to look at the young man in slight confusion.

“Take a look at it.” Understanding what was going in the man’s head at that moment, Valyr merely smiled in response as he told Damian what he needed to do, only to start grinning as

the man immediately looked back at him with great shock.

Ding!
