MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 899 A Long-awaited Reunion

899  A Long-awaited Reunion

Algerie Kingdom, Blacksmith Guild.

As the guild supplying most of the equipment and items people use within the kingdom, it went without saying that the guild housed a lot of private workshops, with a majority of them being leased out to their members for them to use.

However, a small portion of these workshops were owned by high-ranking members of the guild, with one of them being owned by the guild master of the Blacksmith Guild itself.

And surprisingly enough, it was currently being used.

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

If one were to peer inside the guild master’s workshop at this moment, one would immediately see Julian hard at work, hammering away at a piece of heated metal to get it into his desired shape.

Focusing all of his attention on the piece of armor he was trying to create, Julian gradually went through the various steps of the forging process, going through the hours of the day in a way where it felt like mere minutes to him.

Then again, as the head of the Blacksmith Guild, it could be said that the man contributed the most to the war efforts, forging high-end equipment that many of the soldiers on the frontlines were currently using.

With that being said, Julian had been holed up in his workshop for either days or weeks at this point, relying on some of the guild staff to bring him food and water at timely intervals.

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

“Just a bit more… and done.”

Hearing the ever familiar chime of the system echo in his mind, Julian placed his hammer to the side as he took a brief look at the only window within his workshop.

“Time really passes by so fast,” muttered the man to himself as he let out a faint sigh. “I began working on this piece of armor yesterday afternoon, and now it’s the afternoon of the next day.”

Wryly smiling at the thought, Julian soon returned his focus on the piece of armor he’d just forged and activated his identification skill.

“[Forger’s Inquisitive Gaze].”

Ding!

As the screen containing the equipment’s description appeared before him, Julian looked through its contents in great detail, causing his eyes to glisten in slight excitement once he was done. Sᴇaʀᴄh the NʘvᴇlFire.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

“It’s good…” muttered the man to himself with a faint smile, comparing it to the piece of armor he’d forged before his current attempt.

However…

“It’s still not enough.” Continuing to look at the description of the armor piece he’d forged, the smile on Julian’s face turned bitter, still feeling dissatisfied with it as he compared it to an armor piece a certain person had shown him in the past. “Haah…” Letting out a sigh as he decided to take a rest before beginning another attempt, Julian went over his progress on emulating Valyr’s armor set ever since the war between the humans and the orcs erupted.

“When will he come back?”

Having read through the description of Valyr’s armor before he entered the inheritance, Julian immediately realized the great impact the young man’s armor would have if the humans were equipped with it as they fought against the orcs.

Unsurprisingly, that feeling intensified once the skirmish between the orcs and the humans had turned into a full-on war, emphasizing the need for such armor.

After all, even though the orcs and humans seemed to be matched on paper in terms of their numbers and ranks, the orcs still held a slight advantage due to their unique properties as a species.

With that, Julian brought up the existence of the armor Valyr had forged to those that were aiding in the war efforts alongside him, talking about how he was going to try his best in emulating the properties of the armor Valyr had forged for himself.

After all, while the war was gradually ramping up, Valyr was still in the Four Pillars’ Inheritance with Hal and the others.

In total, Julian had spent a total of nine months in his attempts at emulating the properties of Valyr’s armor, slowly but surely reaching a point where its current version now held considerable value to those on the frontlines.

“Well, if I compared it to my first attempt, this piece of equipment is definitely better than that by leaps and bounds,” said Julian to himself, only to let out yet another sigh as he tossed what he just forged to the side.

“But if I were to compare it to Valyr’s armor set, it’s still lacking in many aspects.”

“Guild leader?” Just as he had made up his mind to start another attempt at recreating the effects of Valyr’s armor, Julian was interrupted beforehand as one of the guild staff entered his workshop.

“What is it?” Though he slightly frowned at first, Julian looked back at the person that entered the workshop with a raised eyebrow, noticing that the man had not brought him sustenance.

With an immense need to focus on forging as much equipment as possible for the war, Julian had set a couple of rules to the guild staff that would enter the workshop, with there only being two reasons for them to do so. The first one was for food and water. After all, even though Julian was already Rank 5, he still wasn’t anywhere near forgoing the need for sustenance.

As for the second reason…

It was when a situation or an incident arose that needed his presence.

“We’ve received a direct report from one of the soldiers at the defensive gates.” Seeing as he’d caught the guild master’s attention, the staff went over the information he’d received in his mind for a bit before relaying it to Julian. “According to them, a person you knew was looking for you, carrying an orc with them as hostage.”

“An orc as hostage?” asked Julian in slight confusion, standing up from his seat as he prepared to take a short trip out of the guild. “Did they say who they were or what their affiliations are?”

“The person only gave their name,” replied the staff, scratching the back of his head for a bit after that. “From what the report mentioned, the name of that person was… Ylvar?”

“Ylvar… Ylvar…” Hearing that name, Julian stopped in his tracks, slightly frowning as the gears in his mind began to turn.

Fortunately, it did not take long for him to understand what was going on, the frown on his face immediately turning into a smile as he radiated an aura of slight excitement.

“Right… Ylvar.” Letting out a chuckle in response, Julian shook his head for a bit. “Almost forgot that he had to use another name.”

Returning his gaze to the staff, his expression soon turned stern, befitting the position of a guild master. “Alright, relay to them that I’ll be heading to the defensive gate as soon as I can.”

“Also, while I’m away, have the elders of the guild keep an eye on this place while I’m gone. If they can, have them take over my position on some of the equipment I need to forge.”

“Understood, guild leader,” replied the staff as he bowed, to which Julian nodded back in response.

Whoosh!

And with all that settled, Julian soon left the Blacksmith Guild, immediately soaring through the skies as he made his towards the defensive gate where the person named Ylvar was located.

“Hmm…” Looking at the chat screen he’d brought up, Valyr scratched the back of his head for a bit before closing it. “I’ve also sent a message just in case it takes longer for the report to arrive…”

“In any case, do you think it’ll take long for the guild master of the Blacksmith Guild to arrive here?”

Hearing those words, the soldier in front of Valyr briefly looked at him with a fearful gaze, glancing at the orc he was carrying before responding with a slight stutter. “I’ve made sure to have it reach the guild master as quickly as possible.”

“At most… it’ll only take a few minutes or so for the message to reach them,” the soldier continued, inwardly lamenting to the heavens as to why he’d attracted the attention of the man before him. “Now then…” Looking at the passage that had been made for them, the man looked back at Valyr with a smile.

10:33

“As for how long it’ll take the guild master to get here… that depends on how quick the guild master is.”

“Fair enough.” Hearing the soldier’s words, Valyr nodded in response as he glanced at Zaurog for a bit.

Seeing as he would have to wait for quite some time for Julian to appear, the young man decided to rest by the side for the meantime, briefly mulling over the things he’d done after leaving the inheritance.

After capturing Zaurog as he felt that the orc would serve greater purpose later on, the two made their way back to Algerie Kingdom with the help of Valyr’s new movement skills.

Eventually, the two of them arrived at one of the kingdom’s defensive gates, putting many of the soldiers at the gates on guard as they noticed the orc Valyr had brought along.

In response, Valyr flared out his aura, causing the soldiers’ impressions of the young man to change as they began to cooperate with him after that.

‘I wonder what Vaughn and Ryvrthe are talking about right now?’ thought Valyr to himself, faintly amused as he took the time dilation between the inheritance and here in mind.

Whoosh!

“I suppose you haven’t been waiting for too long?” While the young man was in the midst of going through his other thoughts, a familiar voice soon echoed from slightly afar, causing the young man to smile as he stood up.

“Nine months have already passed in this place while I’ve been in the inheritance.” Valyr chuckled in response, smiling as he looked at the man before him. “Waiting for a bit more wouldn’t hurt.”

Hearing those words, the middle-aged man let out a bit of laughter, only to look at the soldier that accompanied Valyr before nodding.

Understanding what the nod meant, the soldier immediately sent out a message to the other soldiers stationed at the gate, allowing a passage for both the man and Valyr to go through.

“Now then…” Looking at the passage that had been made for them, the man looked back at Valyr with a smile.

“Shall we take a look at the things the inheritance gave you?”
