Modern Weapon Summoning System

Chapter 119 - Upgrade

Chapter 119 – Upgrade

After cleaning the house, it didn't mean that the task was complete. Walter didn't tell him that there were more tasks for him, even after cleaning the whole cabin, which consisted of two floors that couldn't be said as a small space. The cabin was large, really large. There was no doubt about that.

Anna was cooking in the kitchen using the ingredients that Walter had previously bought on the way. Meanwhile, Del was filling documents on the table. It was the enrollment document to enrol into the academy. He needed to fill in his name, identity, birthday, and everything else that needed to be filled on the form.

Somehow, there was also a test about the amount of magical energy that they had. The test was just to drip blood into the paper. Overall, there was nothing wrong with that method. It was just that Del was too tired to do one thing after another. Before he signed everything, he checked his status plate first.

The amount of levelling up was not too great, but it was not too bad either. Del expected that he hit level 80 or higher. Maybe as they levelled up more, it became harder for them to raise their level up.

Del put poke his finger and dripped the blood into a special slot on the paper that Walter gave. The blood disintegrated once it touched the paper. It turned into a set of numbers that displayed the same value as total magical energy in the status plate. It was creepy at first, but it was rather revolutionary too for him.

From blood alone, a paper was able to detect someone's magical energy. Truth be told, it opened a whole new set of possibilities. The blood could be used to monitor a patient's vital or to monitor a group. It was endless. Del continued filling the form, not letting himself to lost in thoughts.

The end result of the form was pretty much Del's forged information. The only thing that was truthful in that form was his name and the magical energy he had. He faked his birthday since Del didn't even know whether the world had or had not stepped into the same timeline of the earth or not.

His birthplace was also modified, so it showed that he was born and raised in Elbanian. He didn't want to spoil that he was from another world. It would simply jeopardize his plan to stay below the radars of the students. All in all, he would be better off using the fake identities that he had forged by himself.

He eventually finished filling up the documents both for himself and his own sister. He immediately gave the document back to Walter. Walter might want to check it first. There would be no way that Walter would provide the documents to the academy without checking it out first. His trust in the kids wasn't that big, to begin with.

"Hmm, I see, I see. so both of you have the same birthday, huh? I'll keep that in mind," Walter nodded as he kept checking the documents. He just nodded to confirm whether something was valid or invalid. He would give the documents to school tomorrow, but not before he started asking both of them questions. "So, Del, how was your time in Elbanian?"

"Walter, truthfully, it was nightmare-ish," Del replied.

"How so?"

"In Elbanian, I was hunted down by the kind and his allies while making sure that I have enough money to survive. In here, at the very least, I chose to enter the danger on my own accord, not because of circumstances." He explained what was inside of his mind to Walter.

Walter just nodded. Why was the bald guy have such a flat expression? He didn't show any happiness or any sadness at anything that Del had said so far. The only time that bald dude showed any emotion was when he was under the influence of alcohol. And it was because Del asked about the 'accident'.

"Well, if that's the case. I will say that you two will be welcomed in Ilbistirum. Don't worry too much about it." Walter put all of the documents inside of a small briefcase. Someone came from the kitchen with three plates in her hands.

"Dinner's ready!"

============================

The storage room, aka the makeshift armoury, would be a great place to store any weapons that they wouldn't be using. The place was warm from the insulation that covered the entire room. Del had put away the broken rifles and the tools in its place.

He would use that place as his man cave or his armoury. He would store ammunition and anything that he wouldn't be used inside of that storage room. The storage room was big, after all. Heck, there was probably enough space to park two of his MRAPs if he had any or one main battle tank. Too bad the door would fit neither of those vehicles.

However, for now, it would just serve the purpose of a makeshift armoury. Del put his M240B and his M16 inside of the storage alongside the leftover 5.56 or 7.62 ammunition that he had left inside of his storage. He put that ammunition on the table, and he put the guns on the rack. Those weapons had served their purpose, but Sneggor wasn't friendly with that weapon.

Sneggor was always below zero. It would be unwise to use something that could jam easily if frozen. He decided to change the paradigm into the weapons that could withstand the harsh, non-stop winter of Sneggor.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Del bought AK-74M alongside many customizations. He modified almost everything on that rifle, almost replacing every piece of furniture of that rifle. He attached a muzzle device on that AK that would be compatible with any suppressor. He also bought the suppressor that could be connected at any time necessary.

He changed the handguard from the standard one to a full-length quad-rail handguard attached with accessories. He attached an LED combo on the side of the rifle alongside a foregrip. He changed the dust cover of the AK-74M to the one that had rails so he could attach a scope on it. He chose Holosight alongside its magnifier.

He replaced the standard stock of the AK with a custom one that had much better ergonomics. The stock was much more comfortable to be used in aiming than a standard one. He also used a 6L31 60-round magazine for maximum ammo capacity. All in all, it was a general deviation from traditional AK-74M that relied on simplicity. There was nothing simple from Del's rifle except the mechanism. It was just what it was, a good rifle.

Someone opened the door storage room and came inside. She held hot chocolates in both of her hands. One was for herself, and the other was for Del. Anna gave one of the cups to Del.

"This place is quite nice, what did you do to it?" Anna asked.

"I just cleaned it up and that's all," Del answered as he sipped on the hot chocolate.

The place could serve as their command centre, while the MRAP would be their mobile command centre. Walter might need to be consulted first, but Del thought that there would be no reason for him to refuse. He had thought about what he would do with that room.

There would be a table in the middle of the room filled with maps and objectives. There would also be a modern encryption radio terminal in that storage room. There would be no way an ordinary radio would intercept whatever they were going to send out of that room.

If the contract was correct, Del could do anything that he wanted as long as Walter approved it. A command centre would be something that Walter would agree with since he could contact them from there. The command center would become a place of importance for their operations in the future.

"What can we do to this room? This room is humongous. Will you turn this room into something, Del?" Anna asked.

"Yeah, I will turn this room into a command center. This room will be our base of operation. Walter will coordinate us from this room using a radio that we will buy for him. Other than that, I'm still accepting ideas," Del said.

Anna shook her head. She didn't have any idea on what she should do next with the room.. All that was left to do was to report back to Walter about their proposal and they could start working with that storage room.
