Chapter 394: The Chosen Yu Jing
Chapter 394: The Chosen Yu Jing
“Sinful Descent!”
…
…
…
“How the hell is he alive?”
“Get him up!’
…
…
…
“Hmm~” Groaning myself awake, a sea of darkness welcomed me. Welcoming its embrace, I turned my head towards a few knights dressed in armor.
“Your awake?” A feminine voice called.
Turning towards the voice, I gazed at the princess eyeing me with her soulless eyes. Glancing at the sword at her side, I sent a stare around, frowning at the only missing person.
“Where is she?” I coldly asked.
“Dead,” Said the Princess, unaware I could feel Lilith’s life force near bye.
Boosting myself up, the jingles of chains rang as I gazed at my hands and feet covered in chains. Elevating my gaze, Princess Yu smiled, “You are now mine,”
Shadow stepping from out of the chains, I patted my body down, marveling at how well my body recovered. Aside from a few bruises around my head, and shoulder I was perfectly fine.
“Now, before I thank you for saving me, care to tell me where you have my wife?” I gently inquired as though we were friends.
Sending me a measuring stare, the little princess seemed shocked, but not enough to do anything about it. Shooting her men a heavy glance, she beckoned with a wave to lower their weapons.
“I am Ling Hu, “She straightforwardly lied.
“Please, as my savors, why lie? You are Yu Jing.” I swiftly corrected, turning my heavy eyes towards the position Lilith’s aura emanated.
She was close, about a few kilometers away.
Crossing her arms Yu Jing, gaze grew sharp like a blade, “Who are you? I have not seen nor heard of two chosen like yourself wandering around without protection.”
“You are a chosen yourself, are you not? To be able to sense my presence the moment I entered the Cavern.” I half-heartily uttered, sending the young woman a weighted gaze. “But you may call me, Abaddon.”
“And your affiliation?”
“Now that is the question, is it not? Although if you wish to join me, I don’t mind telling you.” I said, walking towards Lilith’s location.
Following behind me, I could feel her stare drilling a hole into the back of my head. A little taken back by the intensity of this woman, I spoke, “What is it? It’s pretty apparent you wish to ask me something.”
“Will you even answer?”
“I am not ungrateful. Ask away.” I carelessly declared coming upon the exist where the light was shimmering with radiance.
Stinging my flesh, a barrier of darkness sprouted from my flesh on its own.
“Then tell me what the hell is Sinful Descent!” Yu Jing darkly uttered as my eyes opened wide towards the land of Alos.
It was gone! A massive portion of the Kafiea Mountains was gone! No more was their base, but instead an enormous trench that stretched endlessly. Dark like the depth, I could feel a sinful evil rising into the air staining the Laws of Life.
However, I sense a corrupted sword Intent beneath such an evil aura. It was vague, but I felt it was Lilith’s.
“It came like a force of nature, bringing hell onto the land! Were it not for a protection treasure gifted to me by my master, I, along with my knights, would have been dead. Tell me how such an Arte is capable of such power when that woman is merely a World God!”
Approaching the edge of the cliff, I stared off into space, finding my eyes land upon a young woman in a pool of blood, gripping a golden sword just near the endless abyss.
Relieved to see her still breathing, I lifted my lips high. “Did your master never tell you about spells that allow one to summon power from higher beings like gods and demons?”
“There are limits.” Said Lady Yu sharply, “What that woman did goes beyond anything I have ever seen. To hold that much power and still be alive is impossible!”
Shooting Yu Jing a stare, I smirked, “You seem different from those I have seen before. Are you a resident of Alos?”
“I am,” She confidently said, but… I didn’t quite feel she was telling the truth. In a game of lies, I have gone head to head with a prince of hell. Seeing through some girl that has only lived less than a thousand years is child’s play.
Carrying my stare to those behind her, I did not push, figuring she had her reasons. Waving my hand, a magical bridge of darkness suddenly flew across the trench to the other side where Lilith resided.
Stepping across without hesitation, I could only frown at the rather brave doll face woman following behind with a stone-like expression.
It had to be known that anyone who could manipulate the elements like me could just as easily send to her death with but a thought. Death was almost guaranteed if I so wished it.
Pressing ahead, I gave no words of approval. For a while, it was indeed brave, but it was too trusting for my taste.
Approaching my still wife, I bent down, cradling her cold body within my hands. Slitting my wrist, I placed it within her mouth. Watching as she began almost instinctually devouring my blood, I smiled.
A little turned at what she was witnessing. I stroked Lilith’s head whilst speaking, “You seem to be after my wife, Arte. Am I mistaken?”
“Am I wrong? I was swallowed whole by that Sword Stroke. My soul, body, and mind were on the verge of destruction the moment that blade fell onto that strange Wraith.” Said the fair Lady Yu. “Were it not for that strike, I do not think we would have been able to find you.”
“It’s strange, isn’t it, I was sure I was blasted to the base of the mountain, yet here I am once again. Was that your doing?”
“No. It was the aftermath of that sword stroke. We think you were blasted toward us in the explosion, but It’s hard to say what really happened.”
Noticing Yu Jing’s expression gradually beginning to darken, I could not help but chuckle, “It will seem you are doing most of the answering while I am remaining quite mysterious.”
Snorting, she eyed me, “So it seems. I saved your life. You owe me!”
Arching my lips into a smile, my gaze slithered over her curvy body, landing square onto her face, which seemed to be as appetizing as sin.
“Certainly, but is it really information you want? Or is it the Arte itself? Why not wait to speak with my wife first. She is the one who has the answer to that.”
