Chapter 403: Lilith - The Holy City
Chapter 403: Lilith – The Holy City
“You two look like shit!” uttered Yu Jing sharply, the moment we stepped out from our room. “Where have you been these past few days?”
Pale to the bone, I turned to Arsene struggling to keep his eyes open, “umm, busy!” I weakly answered, barely having enough energy even to move, “Let’s eat first. I am dying for some water!”
Somewhat startled by my words, Arsene didn’t bother to respond to Yu Jing or me as he pushed ahead with a stagger in each step. Following behind, in a similar fashion, a peculiar frown appeared on the Princess.
“Seriously, what’s wrong?” questioned Yu Jing flatly.
“Water,” answered Arsene, to my amusement.
“Are you and your friends heading down, Lady Yu?” questioned a tall well dress liftman near the magical elevator, standing gracefully at attention.
“The dining room,” Replied Yu Jing calmly as she brazenly stared at both Arsene and me with agitation.
Allowing the Elevator doors to open, a vibrant glow of morning star light-filled blinded my sights, amazed at the rising amber sun through the looking glass of the elevator. A faint feeling of free-falling suddenly swelled within my bones as my sense of gravity became offset.
Slowly making our way down from the highest level this hotel had to offer, my vision passed through the glass elevator at the city, blistering so early.
“Will you be attending the pilgrimage festival, your grace? I hear your master made a quick visit a few hours prior to your appearance.
“Master is here!” Squealed Yu Jing, capturing our attention at the odd sudden turn. “Why was I not told of this?”
“Order’s, of course.” The Liftman bowed, “It was not by choice. Her Holiness commanded we not say a word till you rested after your long journey.”
“Or to find out who her daughter’s comrades are?” Said Arsene with a contentious smile.
Neither confirming nor denying it, a listless silence permeated the air. No one spoke, allowing the sound of a ding to break the silence.
“Enjoy your meal Young Lords and Ladies. There is an open bar and a buffet if you so wish to partake, but if you wish to have your own food prepared fresh, our chefs will be more than willing to follow.”
Stepping out from the elevator Arsene and I slowly rushed towards the bar, to the best of our abilities. Staggering the closer we drew, a heavy sweat covered our brow as we spoke at the same time.
“Water! Now!” We demanded, startling the relatively young babyface bartender.
Pouring us two glasses of water that was not in the least bit clear but instead somewhat a transparent gold in pigment, a rush of pure celestial Qi rushed into our bodies, quelling our dried dantians the moment the golden liquid touched our lips.
Cooling my body that was still fiery hot from Arsene’s wild conquest, I melted into the stool near the bar, feeling I was on the clouds, “Who knew sex would be so draining!”
“Agreed, you sucked me dry, that last round, “Uttered Arsene slamming his glass down before the flushed bartender, too shy to meet our eye poured him another glass.
“Son of a bitch! is that why you were so quiet? And walking funny!” Shouted Yu Jing furiously.
“What did you think we were doing in our hotel room? Playing cards? I was spreading my seed, little Princess, plowing her garden to bear me an heir!”
Drawing a few laughs from the several men and women within the dining hall, Yu Jing stood trembling, surging with a powerful qi that threatened to explode.
Filling up our glass, Arsene ignored the Princess when a sudden childlike voice roared, “Auntie! Papa!”
Twitching my brow at the way Arkanos was addressing Arsene, my eyes suddenly widened when I thought of him telling me of Ty, the other dragon that called him Papa.
“You fucked Tia! That’s why they call you Papa! Oh my god! are they your descendants!” I voiced in shock, turning to the blank expression of Arsene.
Touching his chin, Arsene’s blank expression quickly began to darken as the Little Dragon girl rushed towards us. Lifting her into my arms, my smile shifted into that of a snake as we stared at Arsene turning a little pale.
“Ummm… Ummm… Ummm…”
Stuck on repeat, a chilling laugh rushed from my throat into the air, “Cat got your tongue? It seems you were quite a playboy, weren’t you.”
“But everything died. How could she be mine?” Said Arsene, somehow finding the words to speak, “The Great Change wiped everything. It’s just a misunderstanding, dear. Let’s eat something.”
“It seems everywhere you two are, drama seems to follow, ” Voiced Lu Su with a graceful bow, “Well met, I hoped your rest was to your liking?”
“Indeed!” Arsene rushed to say, “But how about we tour the city! I hear Yu Jing’s master is here! Let’s visit! I am sure our dear Princess is missing her master!”
“Master Aiza is here!” Siad Lu Su in shock, turning to his Princess.
Narrowing my gaze, Arsene suddenly stood on his feet, “yeah! Yeah, let’s do that!” He dramatically announced, shifting attention from my theory that might be on the money.
While everything was wiped, I felt my theory was indeed correct. Ther could have been a single dragon on any of the twelve realms! Dropping the matter for now, I nodded to his relief. Giggling to myself, I turned to this still agitated Yu Jing.
“So, can we visit your master?” I asked, gripping the little dragon in my hands as she giggled.
“Why not just make my palace your home as well? No, you cannot meet my master! We are not friends. We just happen to be here due to coincidence, nothing more.” Claimed the Princess with a threatening glint that silenced the lively air within the dining hall.
Hanging a sadistic smile on his lips, Arsene shrugged, “Well, it’s settled then; after we tour the city, we will see this Lady Aiza. I am sure she is just as lovely as you.”
Stomping her foot, an echo of pearly laughter shone as a great tremor filled our ears, “Presenting her Royal Highness, Duke of Caisa, Liberator of Death, Your majesty, Yu Lan.”
“Mother?” Siad the Princess, towards the fairy in long elegant robes that held embroidered gems just at the tip of snow-white robes that caught not just mine but Arsene’s attention.
Sending us a measured stare, with deep round golden eyes that sparkled with a profound light, Yu Lan lifted her lips, approaching the bar towards her.
Trailing behind her stood a small garrison of knights with alert eyes that shimmered, with divinity, “I don’t believe you have introduced us. Tell mother who these people are, why don’t you? I don’t think we have met, but this one seems quite familiar.”
Staring dead into me, Yu Lan held her arms behind her back, “Have we met?”
