Chapter 488: Stalker
Chapter 488: Stalker
I swear this was too easy. My God, Richter, I swear we of the House of Snow have failed you. You can not be this naive? Can you?
“You know where the princess is?” My brother’s protector questioned.
Glancing at the ashen grimace upon my brother’s lips, I nodded, “Of course. I was to send a message to the King himself, and what better way than kicking his disciple’s ass would I get the message across?”
“Yami, stop antagonizing Lai Yuan.” Yu Lan scolded, slapping the back of my head. “Forgive him. He was kicked in the head during his childhood.”
“Screw you too, Lan-Lan.”
“See? Even before a god, he will jest when he lacks the qualification.” She added, sending me a death stare that had the hairs upon my skin on end. “Ignore him.”
“Ignore some random fool, capable of defeating the Celestrial King’s second disciple without even using a weapon. Who is he?”
Arching my lips at the probing glint, I glanced down at Richter, who had now finally held the Snow’s most proud feature, their ashen hair. It was very rare for a Snow not to have the trademark ashen qualities, but Richter was without any.
He had taken after mother, but it had seemed his talent was definitely from the Snows. Not to discredit him, but my elder brother had indeed grown. He was still a fool, no doubt, but he was misguided—a shame I have to destroy him. Maybe I should give him a chance.
“Who I am is not necessary, but I do have an important message for you. You see, Arsene Snow wishes to have a word with Tian Wang. He wishes to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage.”
Shaking where he stood, my smile only grew. Lai Yuan, for all his earlier calmness, shook in shock. “Are you serious?”
“I have no reason to lie. Set up the meeting; I am sure Mr. Snow will be willing to show alongside his new wife. I hear that she may be pregnant. Such a wonderful blessing.” I added, struggling not to laugh at the horror upon Lai Yuan’s face.
“S-S-S She is pregnant?”
“They fuck like dogs. I am sure she is,” I remarked without shame.
“YOU BASTARD!!!!” Lai Yuan roared, but Yu Lan was there by my side, blocking his vicious palm that would have turned me into a mist of blood.
“Yami stop antagnaizing! They got the point.”
“He was the one to question me.” I defended, pursing my lips. Rolling my eyes, I turned to leave, “Good meeting you, Lai Yuan. It has been quite the experience meeting a god-like yourself.”
It was indeed quite the experience meeting Lai Yuan. I needed to know what type of God was behind my brother, aside from Drar, who I plan on using. With this defeat, I am sure Drar will approach Richter.
If he doesn’t, after my dinner with my brother, if I do decide to show, I plan to force his hand. If that doesn’t work then, Richter will serve no purpose, and I will be forced to crush his soul and be done with him.
However, if Drar turns him or grants him some form of power, I will benefit. Handing this fool power is my goal. I need Richter stronger.
Arching my lips making my way through the palace walls, I withdrew from Yu Lans palace, heading towards my home, but not before making a few blood smears along the way.
I was still a bit warm, but I had soon understood why that was. It was the Divinity within me. My Divinity was not something that needed to be within me. It needed to flow freely in the air. It needed to sow discord.
Then there are the souls within me. I do not know the limit of False God, but there has to be one, right? When will my power stop rising?
My battle with Richter had shown me so many things. He had taught me that Divinity needed to exist both within and out of me. I needed to manipulate those around me passively. If not, this warm feeling within me would only grow till it turned against me. As it is right now, no wonder Loki is mad crazy. My Divinity is forcing me to act upon my Dao.
So this is what it means to be a god, but am I a slave to my Dao, or is it the opposite? Is this the price of power? So many questions yet no answers.
Stepping through the endless streets of Casia, my lips curled downwards when I finally thought about the Shadow and King. It was a bit annoying, but they were a bit of a thorn in my plan. I knew nothing about them aside from the fact that they were fallen from a higher dimension.
Lilith will still wish to have a baby, but we need to find a way to open the gates of Ilutath. But why are these gates so important? Even Zariel wishes to open them, although it’s only for his kid. But why?
“I need to speak with Asmodeus… and Aldrich,” I muttered silently, changing my direction noticing a few people following me.
“Baphomet, you still there?” I silently prayed, hoping words would stretch with the Laws of Karma to him. After all, that is how names work regarding Karmic Laws. Speak a higher being’s name, and they shall know.
“You cashing in one of your favors?” He chillingly asked, cooling my soul with his sinful tone.
“Not really. Although a few people are following me. What I really want is to enter the hells to see Asmodeus regarding the Gates of Ilutath.” I said, having counted over seven shadows, glancing back at the few shadows hidden behind corners and alleyways. At least two of them were Gods.
“Asmodeus will be busy for a bit, but I got info regarding that realm. Although I recommend you run, it seems some strange man is stalking you.”
Strange? Who? I haven’t made any enemies since… Oh, that pervert? Does he still have a memory of me? No, that can’t be? He must have been tracking Arkanos, and that led him to me. Although that still doesn’t make sense.
“I don’t run,” I muttered, finding a tavern called oddly enough ‘gunslinger.’
Entering my mind palace connected with all the blood smear I had drawn over the city. I immediately made a connection with the web of runes I made and smiled.
Deactivating the web of blood, I took a seat and waited. Running would get me only so far, and this man was not my target. Pulling out my phone I had not used in a while, I texted Grey a few coordinates.
“Seems like part two of my master plan will be in effect. I hope he is at least a little smart. If he is too stupid, this will not work.”
