Chapter 499: Invitation
Chapter 499: Invitation
Stepping away, leaving my lovely wife, gathering all eyes upon her, I led the way while my elder brother followed.
Ever since we met, I have been using his own heart against him. Many say cultivators should be without emotion, but can it be so easy? Can one genuinely sever an emotion that breeds the Seven Sins?
Stepping a bit away from the party, I could feel certain eyes glaring holes into the back of my head.
“So, brother, I hear you wish for my head? Why not discuss this before I am forced to do something insatiable. We are, after all, still blood.”
Crossing his arm, Richter’s gaze couldn’t show any more betrayal. It will always amaze me how emotional people will sometimes get?
“You killed all those I loved, my king, my brothers in arms. You think I can forgive such things?” he fired off, slightly raising his voice.
Is this what I sounded like when I was frightened by the Mother of Devils? Man, did I sound like such a bitch?
Releasing a sigh, I continued,” Sure, bro. But are you really going to kill me?”
There was a great pause of silence as he stared at me in disbelief. “Sure, bro? Is that all you have to say?”
Lilith still has the king’s soul and everyone else when she went on that rampage to make the abyssal children. I could use that in the future. No, they belong to Grey.
“How the Hell is an empathetic man like you raised by a Snow. That king really fucked you up. It’s quite sad. Do you want a hug, big bro?”
Trembling like a shivering dog, the fire in Richter’s eyes rose to ill proportion. Adding flames to his heart, with my Dao of Devil Heart adding the wood to the flame.
Arching my hands with a pouted expression, I did not try to hide my mocking smile, “Just a hug, bro. One hug. Me and you.”
“YOU BASTARD!!!!!” He roared, sending a defining strike that radiated sword intent with his arm. But I was prepared. Having already read his movement just as he screamed.
Destroying everything in his path, I dodged with ease as my arms wrapped around him. “There there, bro. It’s just us; let it out.” I added, crackling with a bit of laughter.
Toying with his heart that was bleeding heartbreak, my smile only grew with demonic characteristics as many turned to us.
“Get the hell off of me!” Richter roar! Swallowing me hole with his false divinity, brushing me back, I chuckled, skidding on my feet a few meters away.
Brimming with tears that I knew stung like fire. My heart turned to ice, “Richter, do you know what it means to be against me? What of you? Or maybe you, Karsa?
Destroying the sweet ambiance of the party Yu Lan had made, Karsa stepped forward, “So we are enemies?”
I chuckled, shaking my head, “That is up to you. But a Prince of Hell and Arc-Angel is dead due to me. So tell me, Karsa are we enemies? What of you, Richter? Or maybe you there, watching with a smile.”
Stepping out into the view, a well-dressed middle-aged man chuckled, “Boy do you know who I am?”
Studying his red suit I honestly wanted for my collection, I could only smirk. “Are you the idiot who took the heavenly throne? Are you Asmodeus?”
His smile dropped as he beckoned to Richter with his hands teleporting him into reach. “Many address me as Duke Sultan. What of you?”
Not bothering to answer, I skimmed my gaze across the audience I had gathered. “What of the rest of you, please do come out.”
“I am Lynx, Commander in the Court of Nox.” Said another stepping near Duke Sultan. Gazing at me like a hawk waiting to strike.
“I am princess Yura!” My lovely wife shouted with a smile.
Smirking, I beckoned, “Come to me.”
Skipping like a little princess, she wrapped her arms around me and kissed my cheek. “Allow me to introduce myself, although I am sure many of you know me. I am Abbadon Snow, aka Arsene Snow.”
Losing his smile, Sultan shot me a chilling gleam. “The Ashen Demon. I had heard the story about you.”
“Indeed.” Christopher addressed, stepping out of the shadows of the audience.
“Earl Lexus Culton here, are you saying that you willingly stepped into our domain? What is your game?” Said an unfamiliar face that looked similar to a horse.
The man was not in the least handsome, but the aura I felt radiating off him was truly terrifying.
Holding a smile that did not quite meet my eyes, I nodded with conformation, “Since Tian Wang did not show, I am here to say my peace. Greyson, if you would?”
Stepping out from the crowd, soft murmurs began to ring in my ears. Walking slowly to my side, he glanced at everyone with indifference. “I am Greyson Snow, Tang Feng’s first disciple. And I am here to make an oath to the heavens.”
“Greyson, stop this madness.” Sulton threatened.
“And I would ask you to hold your tongue,” Lilith instantly commanded. Wrapping her arms around me tighter.
“You hold no right to address me, girl.”
“Far from it, Duke Sultan.” Grey respectfully declared, “After all, it is by, my master will that Arsene Snow, Destroyer of Devil Prince Sitri, and Archangel Yeshimeal is to be the next king of the Celestial Palace.”
“BLASPHEMY!!!!” Lexus screamed, halting the music.
“The Court will not approve of such a thing!” Lynx added, baffled by the idea.
Placing my hand upon Lilith’s stomach, I blushed a bit, “Well, what can I say. I am working hard to put a baby in her!”
All grew quiet as even my dear brother looked at me with disgust. “You would bring your demonic seed into the world.”
Arching my lips, which threatened to fall, I spoke, finding myself actually feeling like tearing Richters throat out. “I think I changed my mind. I may not wait till the wedding to break you. Quite the Shame don’t you think, brother?”
