Chapter 580: The Forgotten King Of Hell
Chapter 580: The Forgotten King Of Hell
Snapping my eyes open, I shot up, surveying my surroundings, blinded with confusion. I clenched my chest, thumping in agony as a vicious fist came crashing into me.
"You bloody idiot!" Lilith cried, tearing me off my bed and into the wall.
Slapping against the wall, cracks echoed like webs as I fell powerlessly down, only to hold my left eye, "What the hell was that for?" I painfully groaned, coughing up a mouthful of blood that tasted a bit funny. It was still delicious, still silky, but there was a different taste I could not place.
"You used the Hollowing, then foolishly used the Concept of Eternity. You lost control, Sene." Lilith grimly announced, pulling close like a lioness walking to her prey. Her eyes narrowed into a cold slit. "Are you feeling Hollow as we speak?"
"Aside from you almost piercing through my head with your damn fist, I feel fine." I fired back, noticing my chest was still a little sore for some reason. "And I have no concepts to use."
Lilith sneered, pulling out the Spear of Noctem that thumped with my heartbeat, "From now on, you are forbidden on using the Hollowing until your soul level is stronger, or I give you permission." She coldly declared, startling me quite a bit.
"How bad?" I inquired lightly, ready to hear the worse.
"Bad, you were out for almost two months. The wedding is in a few days, and the next time you want to listen to Aegis, remember he is an enemy, not an ally or a friend." The angry minx scolded, pursing her lips and scrunching her brow like a rabbit who had done wrong. I chuckled, noticing the worry over her eyes.
"Father and Baphomet took care of all the prices we had, and it seems like souls work. Good News for you, they just don't use the cores." Lilith warned, shaking her head; a bitter sigh left her infuriated lips, "Now how do you feel physically?'
Looking inwardly, a few memories of what happened began to fly through my head as I recalled my infinity ring turning into Seven Rings. However, all that existed was a black ring, glowing with an eerie scarlet glow as I checked. Racing down the Demonic looking ring, I saw Abyssal Night in the form of divinity slipping down its arch.
Taken back, as I usually had to convert my divinity into the Divinity of Abyssal Night, my ring itself had changed, removing that step for me.
Glancing up at me, Lilith sent me a knowing look. She shook her head, and I did not bother to ask; this was my problem, and she had the only weapon capable of controlling me like a puppet.
Dismissing the Spear from my sight, Lilith crossed her arms, "Before you almost destroyed Levetus, I approached Azazel, the Forgotten King of Hell. He is the only King who isn't scheming to kill Asmodeus. From what Father has told me, he is preparing to ascend to the next dimension."
"Azazel? My inner otaku says, isn't that the name of a Fallen?" I could not help but recall. Knowing a bit of my history.
Lilith smiled, "I was just free of my debt to the heavens; I'm not trying to be banished to the Fifth heaven. All I will say is that he loves to experiment. He gave me about seventy demons and thirty minor Devils."
"When is he set to ascend?" I curiously inquired, knowing a new seat was about to be available in hell.
"I didn't ask. You disrupted me. However, it should be before Father. Azazel has wanted this for a long time now and is more prepared. I think he will go in the next hundred years, maybe less."
I gave a sharp nod and smiled. EYeing me sternly, Lilith ran her hands through her hair. "You are changing, Sene, and even I don't know how it's happening. The Path is giving you something that only three people have. I would suggest you take advantage."
Three?
"I know, but I find it strong I didn't break through into the next minor realm." I mocked, but I felt my battle prowess had risen considerably. If my base power was around the Realm of Lord, I felt like I was now in the middle of that realm.
I could only infer that the divinity I got was not enough to complete the entire change when I had become a god, but one thing is that Abyssal Night had a monstrous property. That was similar to adaptation but more.
If I am not wrong, it was like a wish. Whatever I wanted, it would grant it to me. However, like my adaptation, I had limited control over it. Nevertheless, it will not be long before my soul breathes the Path of Abyssal Night. I will be damn sure I am able to control the Hollowing. If I could destroy Levetus, the Ninth Layer of Hell, then that means at this moment in time, my battle prowess is at least at Emperor may be higher.
Lifting myself off the cold ground within my palace in Midgard, my left eye felt slightly different. I couldn't quite place the change, but it was off.
"What concept did I use?" I lustfully asked, somewhat tempted to see that power I held within myself.
"The Concept of Eternity, but the way you used it was horrifying. Asmodeus would have had to kill you to stop you. You are not the only one with a concept. There are quite a few people who hold one. Some may be at your cultivation. Some can be mortals who got lucky. It doesn't really matter. Just understand that Concepts can only be stopped by concepts.
Dusting myself off, I glanced out the window at the dark skies and the ethereal glow of the moon peeking through my windows. Grimacing for a bit, my left pupil suddenly stung a bit when all of a sudden, the pain vanished.
"Azazel. Even in my inherited memories of the devils, his name has never shown. What type of devils does he breed?" I sharply asked, pushing this pain from my eye. Lilith did not mention it, and I didn't bother to ask. Azazel was the first king of hell I have ever heard Lilith speak of.
"He is weird and unlike the other Kings. He doesn't really have a specialty. However, he is the second strongest King to exist when he is not driven into insanity by the Hells itself. I don't know how or why he got the Right to be a King, but Azazel is the most unstable King. What he makes are devils meant for war, devils that rival the unmatched Battle Prowess of demons.
I frowned and touched upon my chin, "Are they stable?"
"I have no idea."
