Chapter 664 Abyssal Guardian
“Forgive my transgression,” Seraphina hesitantly chimed. She glanced at my hand and shook her head, emphasizing her dismay, “but right now, you appear more like a devil than an ally.”
I waved my hand and opened the chamber doors, letting brisk light reach inside, revealing a delicate flower. I chuckled at Sera’s crass claim. “Well, I am a devil.” I agreed, seeing no reason to lie. “Why not join the dark side? Let me show you a truth you are so blind to.”
I lifted my hand once more, and my devilish smile slipped out intentionally. Seraphina pursed her lips, assuming I was jerking her around, and reached for my hand, taking it firmly. She nodded, “I’ll meet this angel and keep an open mind, but you will have to work for my Angel’s blood.”
Seeing no reason not to disagree, I nodded. “Deal,”
There was no reason for a devil’s deal that would only lead to my death. Watching the blossoming glow under the light trace over Seraphina’s holy appearance, I stared till she frowned, growing noticeably irritated.
“Stop staring.”
“You’re a woman; aren’t you used to being stared at?” I questioned, knowing the struggle as a sexy man myself.
Sera growled, demanding to leave. “Hurry up. Where is this angel?”
“Oh, he is here. Downtown in the city.” I explained, somewhat annoyed that I had not even had a full hour in real-time to train. Even so, I was sure to Master Ren-Shii soon. ππ²ππ»πΌπππΉοΌπ»ππ
Leaving the tower, Sera and I took to the skies and whipped over the horizon, blazing with the soothing warmth of the morning dawn. Sera’s eyes were closed as she enjoyed the morning’s heat, but I could not help but fall in wonder.
Quickly locking onto the aura of Eroma, Grey, my mother, father, and my dear old brother, I sent a side glance to sera as her expression slowly grew darker. “You hid them here?”
“Technically, I just found out. Keep it a secret; It seems like Arsene’s family had a falling out with him after he diddled his brother’s fiancee.” I gradually explained, noticing Eroma’s stern gaze land over me, then Sera. “I’m only showing you this because you seem different from the Angels I have met.
“Come, he should be a little ways ahead,” I informed, racing past the apartment of Eroma, my eyes locked over Einar, smiling quite brazenly within a cafe, as he attempted to pick up one of the baristas.
“Are you playing a game on me, Asura?” She insisted as her shoulders began to tremble. I took her hand before she could say more, and we descended. Stepping into the cafe, the sound of the bell went off, and Einar turned.
He stared, blinked, and turned right around, “As I was sayingβ”
“EINAR!!!!!” Seraphina howled, to my shock, flickering to his side; she grabbed his collar and ripped him off his feet. “YOU TRAITOROUS BASTARD!”
“Ladies, Gentleman,” I loudly address, beaming with joy, “Please leave, as you can see. Archangel Seraphina, my lovely master, wishes a word with this man.”
“Big Sis,” Said Einar strenuously, patting his bald head, bearing a rich smile despite his deadly situation. “How have you been?”
Sera’s arms trembled, and the look in her eyes flared alive, “You were a part of my platoon, and you abandoned your brother and sisters.”
Einar shot me a chilling look but still managed to smile, “Seeing that you are here, it seems like your eyes are slowly opening.” he said, and sera’s grip loosened, “I wasn’t trying to abandon my brethren, but Sera, even you must admit, the things that go on in heaven is sick. There were many clues. Before Raziel took the throne, some worshiped him, praising him as the second coming. I even told you about it, but you dismissed it. Now, look at our people. Demons of war we are.”
Dropping Einar, the Rogue Angel sighed, “I am not like you. You know that I am a reincarnated individual. YOu know this. I have seen what we are supposed to represent, and I despise what we are. I am happy with what I am doing. If I see disharmony, I correct it, but I do not interfere in the lives of any like we are doing now.”
“Seems all you are doing is trying to plow bitches,” I added, and Einar smiled brightly, not in the least bit ashamed.
“Damn right! Booty, a woman’s but, Booty, my boy, is allβ”
A swift slap resounded, shaking the furniture of this empty cafe, and sera stomped her foot, “How the hell are you not fallen?”
Einar did not seem the least displayed and shugged, “Who knows, maybe because I follow the real Law of Concordance?” He said, and my heart shook, and Sera grew starstruck.
Now, this was unexpected, but it would make sense. My sister doesn’t do anything half-ass. If he wished to be an angel, why would he not have the true law of concordance?
Sending the angel a heavy glance, I knew it was not right for me to remain. Not now anyway. The Law of Concordance was something I was sure was a sore subject. Taking my leave, I exited the cafe and stretched my arms far and wide when a familiar whisper rang deep in my ear, stirring my fear.
“Greetings, Arsene Snow,”
“Zantar,” I barked, lifting my head towards the angel walking out of the blistering street filled with men and women racing back and forth, buying and selling.
He chuckled, “Greetings, my friend. I am here for my sister. Heaven is missing her after our late brother’s death.”
‘Freya, get them out of there NOW!” I shouted inwardly.
“You with the Angels? How are they not even aware that your a fallen?” I then said, maintaining a calm demeanor.
“Don’t even try it, Arsene.” Zantar remark, with sharp eyes, piercing through my intent. “I will kill her if she runs. Sera needs to be corrected. It seems your influence has already touched her.”
“Sera,” I swiftly fired off in a soul whisper, “Follow after Freya and do not stray. If you stray, you die. Take Einar with you, now!”
“Oh Arsene, how you have disappointed me. We don’t have to be enemies, you know.” He coldly reasoned, but in a single instant, my bloodline boiled and exploded as a large gate shattered the building of the cafe, taking away Sera and Einar instantly.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coughing up a mouthful of blood, I saw my left arm fly into the air as Zantar whipped past me and struck the Gate of Abyssal Night. Releasing a shockwave that shredded my body apart, I was flung far and wide through buildings before my vision turned cloudy.
“Master! The Gate!” Freya cried,” it will not connect to two points! We are stuck; one more hit, and we will be exposed!
Spitting blood and teeth from my bloodied lips, I growled and pulled myself off the ground, but the second I did, the hairs on my neck stood on end as the embers of Abyssal essence began to congee near where Freya could be.
“Sene! What is happening!” Lilith cried deep in my head, “My Guardian. I can feel it near you!”
