Chapter 800 Demonic Resonance I
Glimmers of darkness came like a mist from my soul, spreading out through this domain; my eyes leveled onto Bael, standing with a pale expression as flickers of Forsaken Qi generated by my blood in the real world began to overflow into this realm.
“You god damn bastard,” Returning his twin spears back to wherever they belong, Bael’s dark expression sank, “I hated the Forsaken. Your kind was responsible for many battles lost on our side. But you are but a shadow of what they once were.”
“A shadow?” I repeated, taking hold of the darkness filling the void around me. “I’m no one’s shadow but my own. ”
I stomp down, sending a glorious whistle through the air, as from the darkness around me, ethereal blades carrying forth my spear intent whipped towards Bael, striking in every direction simultaneously.
Yet, as these Etherial Blades I conjured came into being, time seemed to pause before my eyes as Bael stepped forward. “Stopping time is quite a chore for normal people, but I have fought and killed hundreds of Time Monarchs. The trick is layering multiple layers of space and time into a specific area; this ensures not even the strongest of Gods can escape the effects of time.”
“I’ve ready your theory of Time Minupulations,” I counted, walking up to Bael as he did to me.
My mind was racing, and my heart was thundering against my chest the closer I got. But when I became in range, I slowly began to feel the forces of time trying to pierce through me, but no matter how the Laws of Time tried, my soul and body were immune to the Laws of Time. Or at least the Laws of Time, which are limited to the Fourth Heaven.
Pushing out my Forsaken Qi that lingered like dry rot to my soul, the Spear of Noctem swirled like a black whirlwind striking against Bael, who easily pivoted off his feet backward, dodging my strike, he darted towards me at such speed I was stunned, for a moment. Getting past my defense, a glimmer of coldness filled my heart as I struck my fist at the King of Hell. Who met my fist with his.
“AAHHH~~” Screaming like a dbz character, a massive explosion shattered the confines of space, peeling away the laws within the darkness. Pain danced along my spine as I was pushed back by a few steps, but this was the plan. Getting enough room, the Spear of Noctem swept towards Baels, neck like a whip.
Arching his palm, he sneered, blocking my spear with his bare hands, covered in a thin layer of scarlet qi that felt like the powers of hell. “You’re also not the first Forsaken I have killed. But you do bring back some glorious memories; let’s go, boy!” He said, flickering to me.
DING!!!
Grunting as his fist struck my spear’s shaft, I felt my arms tremble as the webs of my palms ruptured, spilling blood over my cheeks. Refusing to take a step back, I followed the path of Ren Shii and my Demonic Battle style and began using all Seven Paths of Sin.
Clashing with everything I had, I began to Shadow step while using my Shadow Blade to ignore space and time, but Bael seemed to have a counter for everything. Using his knowledge and experience that never seemed to end, I began to incorporate all he had taught me during my time in the void.
Engaging in a battle that seemed too fast for most gods to comprehend, I knew that if there were light photons around me, I was sure to grab hold of them.
Swatting Bael from the sky with a brutal strike that he was able to block. The Elements of the Heavens and the Abyss tainted by my Tarnishing came into being and swirled like a vortex of Hell on Earth. Swallowing the darkness as fuel, they shone with a destructive might before taking the form of my sigil in the air.
“Show me, my boy!” Bael howled, opening his palms and summoning two ethereal Spears. πππ π£π€πππ.π£ππ©
“Demonic Resonance!” I howled, chanting the spell that came to me.
I didn’t know why, but there was this feeling like I needed to enhance my battle function just like Crimson Wings, which was active at the start of this battle; I needed something more, something that comes from my Path of Abyssal Night.
By applying my bloodlines, the Elements of Heaven that could be tarnished, and the Other Two great powers, alongside the Runes of Heaven and Hell, I created a battle form that brings out everything that makes me, Arsene.
The void had turned to an eerie silence for a while. And soon, only the sound of swirling energy could be heard as I stood high in the air, surrounded by an aura so black I felt the ring of Bael struggle to contain my power.
My Shadowfell Bloodline awoke after a long slumber; it shimmered with an Almighty Essene.
“A fine name! I can feel the Seven Sins turning into dragons like Lord Lucifer, and Lord Mephisto intended.”
Gripping my spear, which was slowly being tarnished by the aura I was releasing, I moved, not with shadow step, but the effect was no different; by the time I arrived in front of Bael, my spear had already plunged itself into his chest.
“Eh?” He said, startled, but only thirty seconds had happened, and I knew Bael would survive such a strike. I opened my mouth and released a bellowing cry that reminded me of Tiamat arching her seven heads to the moon that once imprisoned her.
I peeled the very skin off Bael, on a molecular level with my voice, turning him into a speck of dust in but an instant.
Unsure why I felt he was behind me, the darkness acted on its own. And another roar of a dragon resounded, whipping towards the shadow of the Devil King, appearing like an apparition.
“How is it? You are so perceptive?” Bael curiously asked, leaping away. “is it just the Astral Soul you fused with? The Old ArseneβOh, I see, the Blood of House Lazurous must be acting as a secondary line. Despite not being awakened, your perception is on another level entirely.”
