Chapter 906 Recovery
Vinay couldn’t have run fast enough, bringing a chuckle to my lips as I saw her Heavenly Qi flare, and yet she seemed to miss the sliver of divinity I placed upon her, sinking into her very soul to help me track her.
“Thought you were going to wait?” Lilith comment.
“I’ve another plan,” I amended, “If her husband lives or baby daddy, I think it will be worth the conversation. I’ve enough trouble in my life. I’ve no time to scheme against Vinay. However, I am curious as to what she knows. I’ll just have to devour her soul to find out.”
“Even though she been through the wheel of reincarnation, it will seem like they cannot escape you.” Lilith mused, and I looked at her as she continued, ” Don’t you think she’s suffered enough?”
“I shall peel her flesh away, and dress her child, just to watch the look in her eyes as the little bun of joy laughs dressed in its mother’s flesh.” I coldly said, ” Does that answer your question.”
“Arsene,” She whispered. Her tone was gentle as a loving melody.
“Life is a game, Lilith Snow. A game I will enjoy. A lion will toy with its prey for hours before biting into its neck. Is it so wrong that I have the same courtesy?” I stepped toward her, lifting her chin with my fingers,” does that make you sad, or are you jealous?”
“Jealous?” She said, and her lips puckered. “What would I have to be jealous of? She’s a dead woman.”
I chuckled, leaving the matter to rest, at least for now. Teasing Lilith into madness would be my new game. Although to be fair, she’s already crazy as hell. Those babies’ juices are just making her more emotional.
“Come, let us continue.” I rejoiced, pushing open the doors to the masseuse, ” I can’t wait to recover!”
“Une,” Said Lilith. Walking beside me with the largest smile, I could feel her thoughts racing over my brain teaser.
Peering at the beautiful woman with ancient eyes, I paused and frowned, sensing something deep within this young woman.
“A Paragon?”
“Oh? You’ve got senses, young man,” The young woman said, with long cat-like airs, silver blonde hair, golden eyes, high cheekbones, and an elegant face, to help complement the noble grace billowing out of her. “My name is Sanza Black, a pleasure to make your acquaintance?”
“Any relation to the king of Aether?” I probed, ready to leave, a little thrown off by the sudden appearance of royalty working as a masseuse.
I’d figure Valice had owned this establishment but was that right? Did this Paragon own it?
“Hi, I’m Lili,” Lilith introduced with her pet name.
Sanza’s eyes glistened, “what a lovely azure glow! Your children?” She pointed out, setting me on guard, but Lilith answered without care.
“Yup! The little balls of joy are enjoying their spa day! Spoiled little brats,” She responded. Ending in a scolding tone as she spanked the tip of her stomach. “You’ve got quite nice senses.”
“Being a paragon will do that,” She said as the sounds of flowing water entered my ears, and I looked around, having been distracted by the aura of this monster. I looked around at the new world we had stepped into and smiled at the misty forest around us.
Noting the two beds, one with a single pillow and the other designed for pregnant women, Sanza beckoned with a flourish of her hand, ‘Take a seat, and remove your robes and attune yourself to the world.
No point being on guard if she wants to kill us; nothing I can do. Taking off my robes, I slipped over the beds on my back as she smiled. 𝗯𝐞𝗱𝗻𝐨𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝐧𝗲𝘁
“First, there will be a full body massage, and finally, stone therapy, all I ask is that you close your sense of sight. Seal your sense of awareness away.” She asked as my brow grew arched, but I had nothing to say.
Personally, I didn’t find anything weird as I knew if Lilith has in any mortal danger, our tether would tell me something.
Sealing away my sense, something I rarely did since my comprehension was so high, I never found it comforting to be truly blind. Not to mention, the darkness was my eyes.
Falling into the darkness, I was accustomed to. A sudden pressure came like a flood over my naked body. Warm and filled with life, I somehow knew Lilith was resting over me, and it surprised me. Neither of us spoke, but somehow a tiny connection different from our original one began to form between us.
And soon, images of past events, emotions not my own, began to swell between us as a mythical smell began to trace over my nose.
Suddenly the darkness shattered, twisting into an azure abyss; I felt Lilith suddenly clench my spiritual self, and from the void, two small little buns sat, eyes large and bright, and yet their bodies were so small, they could fit in the palm of my hand without issue.
My heart lunged out of my chest as Lilith’s joy became my mine and mine hers.
Their images were still a little faded, but I could see the piercing amethyst eyes, filled with a silvery glow in both their eyes, and I looked at Lilith, whose eyes seemed to match, and my soul fluttered.
“By the Abyss!” I shouted, feeling myself drawing close to this illusion. And yet, as our fingers reached to touch what Lilith and I created, a sea of ember welcomed us, followed by childish laughter, as our eyes opened, stained with each other’s tears.
“T-t-that!” I stammered, unable to find the words, as Lilith simply cried on top of my chest, whispering only one phrase repeatedly.
“I can’t wait. I can’t wait!”
My arms wrapped around her as I glanced at the pale expression of Sanza resting on a rocking hair, “Monsters, the both of you.” She said, but I wasn’t so sure she was speaking of Lilith or me.
“It’s been seven hours, real-time. You’d best head for your mud bath.” She claimed, wiping the sweat from her brow.
Confusion overcame me, yet as my senses slowly awakened, my divinity swelled at an unimaginable pace, piercing through barriers without my permission!
