2862 Appear
It is the sixth day since the maze challenge had begun, and fewer than expected people have come out; till now, around only thirty people have come, and both Grimm and the humans combine.
The one person I had been waiting for had not come; by now, the method would have already spread, but she had not come out yet.
Though I know Jill is alive and survived the Grand Lord, I have scanned the memories recorded into the seeds of people who have come, and according to the latest person who had seen her, she was alive, and that was seven hours ago.
I opened the blinds and looked at people outside; the window was not real, but it gave me a three-sixty-degree look at the whole oasis.
Till now, twenty-nine people have come, both Grimms and humans; it is quite surprising that those people I had thought would come first had not made the appearance, and those I had not even thought about solved the puzzle and came out of the maze.
Till now, only Grandmasters and the Grand Lord had made an appearance; there was no sign of two Grimm Grand Lords and the one human Grand Lord; they were still searching for the way out.
I looked around before focusing my gaze on the breakthroughs; two Grimms and one human were making the breakthrough; of the two Grimms, one was trying for the Grand Lord class, while the other was for the High-Grandmaster, the humans were also trying for the High-Grandmaster.
The Grimms, who are trying for the Grand Lord class, are powerful and have reached a peak that now could not improve anymore, but if only had been a requirement of becoming a Grand Lord, we would have had hundreds of them by now.
It is going to fail; it does not have what it needs to make a breakthrough into the Grand Lord class. If it had been in its place, I would have waited and prepared myself more before trying to level up.
It is good for us; if it is lucky, the breakthrough will maim it, and if it is unlucky, then it will kill it; I hope it will remain alive; the bastard had a bloodline. If I get my hands on it, I will have a little treat.
I cast one last glance at the human before walking back into my room; I had my seed inside him, and tracking his breakthrough, if any problem arose, I would lend a hand, as I had done before to the people breaking through.
I wish I could leave; I wish that every waking minute since I had leveled up, but there is no exit gate. Only the blue gate will lead to the next challenge, but it is also locked, and if the past data is to be believed, it will open after the week is finished.
These are the final seven challenges, and the rules are different here.
I wonder how my friends are doing; they are not in the maze but in some different challenges. The first four challenges of the seven are different and have groups of people in them; it is the last, which is the same for everyone, and those are very dangerous but also very rewarding.
If I had time, I would have gone for them, but I will not.
I want to get out of this place as soon as possible; the moment I see the exit gate, I will be out. I don’t know what is happening outside, but now that I have acquired power that gives me the power to fight at the highest stakes, I want to leave.
I shook my head, and before laying back on the couch, with both of the clones busy, I must finish the backlog of work, which I am doing at shocking speed.
I have recovered my lost soul power, and with it, I get to enjoy all the perks that came with incredible power.
My thoughts could now run at incredible speed; I could now do things that were impossible to me before, and that couldn’t help but make me happy.
I have already done quite a lot of work, tens of experiments, some planting, and search through the storages of Grimms that I had killed, in there I have found a lot of things, including miracle fruits and a collection of seeds, two of which I have planted.
The two seeds have made me happier than the miracle fruits; the plants those two seeds will grow into will provide me with resources that will help me tremendously in my breakthrough.
I am now doing a few more experiments with the resources I have; all these experiments are for my future breakthrough. I have stopped everything and doing the things only that will aid me in my future breakthrough, which is now the most important.
There is still a lot of time before I reach the stage where I can make the next breakthrough, but seeing how things are going, I need to prepare.
Which is why I am making my clones study hard; they are doing great; every minute, I am learning something new and even giving my input in the understanding of Inheritance. I want to finish these experiments as soon as possible, so I can work with my clone in studying and understanding Inheritance.
It will take time for that to happen; there are many things I have to do before I can focus on Inheritance.
Hours passed, and as I had expected, the Grimm had failed but survived; the other Grimm had succeeded, and so was the human. I had taken action when he came across a slight problem in the breakthrough, but aside from that, everything went smoothly.
Now, humans and the Grimm are succeeding; there are no Grandmasters present in the oasis; even those few who arrived in these past hours are all High-Grandmasters.
More than half of the Grandmasters who entered the maze had died; those who survived immediately went for the breakthrough, whether they were ready or not. They understood that being a Grandmaster was a death sentence and that being a High-Grandmaster would give them a better chance to survive.
Ting!
It was near the end of the sixth day; I was working on my core when the bell of the abode rang. My eyes flew open, and immediately, I saw the person who rang the better.
Seeing her, a smile couldn’t help but appear on my face.

I got up and immediately appeared by the door; before opening it, in front of me was a young woman, who was very cute when I met her, but now has become a battle-hardened warrior.
Seeing me, a smile appeared on her face, and I saw the shadow of cuteness she used to have.
“You took quite a time,” I said with a smile as I moved to hug my friend, “Not everybody is as good as you at these things, Michael,” she said and hugged me before entering inside.
“I heard you were first and took only three days to get out of a maze,” she said as walked inside; “Three days and some change,” I replied, to which she rolled her eyes.
“I took me double, and I had to survive some seriously dangerous Grimms,” she said, “I know,” I said, to that, she gave me a look before shaking her head.
“I am tired; which room is free?” she asked, “Any room other than the first,” I replied; she nodded before appearing beside the second room and disappearing inside a second later.
