Chapter 1926: The Puzzle
Chapter 1926: The Puzzle
It would have been quite helpful if I could use the calibrator to solve this puzzle, but I could not; my storage is locked; not only that, the artifact I have on the person also became restricted, so even if I had come inside holding a calibrator, I would still not be able to use it.
Her Excellencies’ intentions are clear; those who entered inside had to solve her puzzle with their own efforts, without the use of any artifacts.
I began to solve the puzzle, moving the runes around; for a moment, I feared that I would not be able to move the runes around, but I did without any problem, and the motion of runes is also fluid and fast, wasting no time when they move.
Within a minute, I became completely lost in solving the puzzle; as it happened, my focus sharpened, and my runes moved faster.
Within forty-five minutes, I had solved the first layer of the puzzle, and an hour later, I was able to solve the second later; it took me only half an hour to solve the third layer and a little more than an hour to solve the fourth layer.
Time passed by, and I solved layer after layer of a puzzle; I have an Inheritance of Her Excellency memorized to the runes; not only that, I also read all the notes she had left behind and researched them heavily, due to it solving the formation have become little easy.
If I had no knowledge of the Her Excellencies Inheritance, I would have still been able to solve the puzzle, but it would have taken me more than a day to do, and I had not had that much time.
Finally, I reached the last part of the formation and started breaking it; my movements were fast; if a regular Tyrant were to see me now, they would see me moving everywhere and all direction, arranging runes from one place to another.
Ding!
Time passed, and finally, I placed the last rune in its place, and ‘Ding’ rang out, and the runic sphere began to shine.
It had taken me nine hours and forty minutes to solve the puzzle; I had done it in a lot less time than I had initially expected. I had thought it would take me around twelve hours to solve it, I might even struggle against the time, but no such thing had happened.
A few seconds later, the shining runic sphere transformed into that of the runic gate, and there is no surprise in me seeing that, while solving the formation, I had seen the elements of teleportation formation in it and expected it to appear.
Hun!
I looked at the teleportation gate for a moment before I took a step inside it, and the next moment, I found myself in a huge space. An arena, to be exact, and in front of me is a black humanoid; a humanoid would be a wrong word, a right word for it would be a golem.
It is three meters tall and has a complete armored body with a huge blue long sword at its back. It looked quite threatening with its getup.
I was looking at it when suddenly, its eyes opened, and it removed its sword in one swift motion and attacked me. The attack was very fast, and I had not been vigilant on its movements; I would not have been able to see it, much less defend against it.
First Boost + Second Boost + Everwings
I had activated three of my boosted, and huge power spread into every part of my body from my runes. The golem is emitting the power of the initial Leader class Tyrant; if I did not use all my power fighting against it, I am going to be dead meat under its blade.
CLANNNG!
Our weapons clashed, and I took a couple of steps back with my whole body shaking all over; it is all thanks to newly widened magical veins that I was able to harness the power of all my booster moves; otherwise, I would not have been taking just steps back.
Just as it finished the first attack, it launched another, and I am not afraid; if it had been a Grimm Monster or human with similar power in its place, I would have been afraid, but with this is a golem, who could only launch a physical attack, there were powerful energy attacks in the background.
It means while it is dangerous, I could handle it, and the thing that gives me the confidence to handle this Leader-class Golem is my defense.
My armors defenses are divided into parts, energy defense, and physical defense, in 60%-40% fashion. Now, seeing there is no underlying energy attack which usually my defenses focused on, I instantly made a modification to my defenses, turning them to counter physical attacks only.
With my defenses turning 100% toward the physical attacks, I have full confidence that they will be able to bear the attacks of initial level Leader class Tyrant, and I should focus on defeating it as I only have one hour to do it, a clock had appeared over golem’s head the moment it attacked, and I have only one hour to defeat.
While to others at my level, this might be an impossible feat to achieve, I think I could do it seeing the limitations the golem possesses and my methods that I have complete confidence in.
CLANNNG!
Another attack came, and this one was more powerful than the previous, but I bored it without a problem; while my offense may pale compared to it, my defense will not fail me.
CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNG
It began to attack me like a machine, without stopping even for a moment while I continued to defend against it whole laying the trap for it to fall into it. The increase in my bloodline power had been very helpful; it had made my traps even more obtuse, difficult to detect.
