Chapter 1960: Return

Chapter 1960: Return

Time passed by, and before I knew it, it was time for me to leave. The beacon on my chest was shining gently, and in a few minutes, I will be back in the Academy.

I had been here for a week, and this trip could be said successful aside from not finding the most important material I have come to this ruin for.

I had found a huge amount of resources, far more than I had expected and more than I had needed to collect the curse elements. These are not only harvested by me but also been helped by two leader class Grimm Monsters.

Once I return, I am going to hand over all the unnecessary resources to the teacher to make the exchange for the resources I need.

I am a little anxious about my return, about war; I hoped that no drastic change had occurred, and if it had, then it would be in our favor. When I came here, millions were dying by the day in the minor continent; I hope the daily casualties would have been reduced by no.

According to the official analysis of the that will likely to happen, they even predicted the casualties would be increased over time, at least for the month before all weak ones weed out and those who have survived became battle-hardened would be able to fight for the longer period of the time

Buzz!

I was in my thoughts when the beacon on my chest buzzed, and I found myself disappearing from my spot and next moment, I was in the space tunnel.

I remained unmoved and also calmed the energies in me, so it would not affect the working of the tunnel adversely. That incident had a huge effect on my mind that I remained extra cautious when traveling through the space tunnel.

A few seconds later, I reached the end of the tunnel, and everything darkened in front of me before it lighted up, and I found myself back into the Academy.

“Welcome Back, successor; the headmistress had asked you to come to her office as soon as you arrive,” The technician said from behind the protected screen.

“Thank You, I will do that,” I said, and for few minutes, I had gone through some tests, and some questions had been asked before I got all clear, and I got to leave. The security of the Academy had become extremly strict that even I, the successor is not spared from it.

Soon, I got out of the got of building and flew toward the teacher’s office and was quite surprised to see that the population of the Academy had boomed again despite every day thousands of people receiving their conscription order.

A week ago, the people in Academy were already three times normal, but now they seemed to be five times more, and when I looked at the number with my access, I was surprised to find I was right. I had thought that seeing the people flying around, but I did not expect my guess to be accurate.

While flying towards the teacher’s office, I moved with the speed of the elite and emitted the aura of the early elite.

It is not like I want to show off, but the teacher asked me to do; even taking the lessons, I emit a faint elite aura. It is for the morale of the Academy, as I am the person, the members of Academy looking to lead them.

It is not only because I am hosting celestial inheritance, just like her excellency, but also because they could not look at the teacher. Teacher an expert healer, nobody would expect her to fight, nor she would be allowed to fight.

As she is one of the most prominent healers in the world and Pyramid would, without doubt, sacrifice a Master class Tyrant than letting a teacher fight who is still an elite.

While I am also a healer and damn good at that and could be said to teacher’s equal with my recent improvements. The thing is, I am also a fighter and had always been and became a symbol due to the inheritance I have.

Even if I had not turned what I am right now and would have been above average, I would have still needed to fight.

Though, those fights are symbolic, under the protection of old monsters.

I am not the only one that is bearing this pressure; the successors of Supremes and other prominent faces also facing what I am. I am a little worried about Jill; of all the people, she must be feeling the greatest pressure; being a successor of Ramona is not an easy thing.

Even her excellency Catherine was powerful as Ramona Hawthorn; she chose to be in shadows, and only Tyrants and important people know about her real power, as most public only consider Ramona Hawthorn the greatest powerhouse to be born in this world.

“Professor,” said the woman in her late thirties as she stopped in front of me, “Kenna,” I said. This woman Kenna Cooper, one of the healers I am teaching, she is not only twice older than me but also a level higher; she is a Tyrant while I am still Emperor, though I am stronger than her and could easily beat her.

The thing is, like all the people I teach, she also called me a professor, and it feels weird to be called ‘professor.’ All the people, Ive ever called professor was older and more powerful than me.

“Will you resume classes now you have returned?” she asked with hope burning in her eyes. “Likely, but I can not say for sure; I had just returned and have to talk to the headmistress before I could say anything for sure,” I said and walked toward the teacher’s office.

I will not go to another ruin for a week and likely resume the class I had been taking before I had left, but as I had said, I am not sure. If the teacher had something different planned for me, the classes would not resume, let’s hope she did not.
