Chapter 2155: Ida
Chapter 2155: Ida
Three days passed since I became conscious, and since then, I have been in my home, not taking even a step out.
I sleep most of the time, as sleep is necessary for fast recovery, but when I am awake, I spend time with my family and work on what I have left in my hands. Which are two to three hours at most, but they tripled in my core.
With a daily dose of rest, recovery resources, and recovery food, I am recovering at a good speed. I had already recovered 50% of my essence and should be able to recover the rest. I am quite looking forward to it, and so is Lord Whitman.
With me recovering half of the blood essence I had lost, I did not have to rest for fourteen hours a day anymore and also became capable of doing some things that I became incapable of after losing so much essence.
Today is an exciting day; I am going to get a new mentee if she accepts the offer. There is a chance she might reject it, as there is an actual Grandmaster that is interested in her.
Three mentees are already enough, and if I had a choice, I would have not taken another one, but I need to take one for my research, and it would be incomplete without it.
I have a mentee with a unique constitution, I have one with a Grand Art, and I also have one with unique Inheritance, but I do not have one with a bloodline.
I wanted to choose it before, but I did not, as Bloodline may be powerful, they also quite delicate, and my tinkering would have unintended consequences which I could not control.
In these two months, my research has made great strides, and it finally gave me enough confidence to take a mentee with Bloodline.
It will help me a lot; in these past two months, I have been able to collect a massive amount of data, and now a mentee with Bloodline would help me even further. Even if this one did accept my offer, I have other lines up with a similar level Bloodline.
Buzz!
I was going over the data of my would-be mentee that Pyramid had provided when the teleportation formation in the parlor lit up, and a beautiful young woman with lithe figures appeared.
She is the about same age as me with short metallic green which barely reached her shoulder. She had a petite figure and classical face that one would usually see in paintings.
When she saw me, a great surprise couldn’t help but appear in her eyes. It seemed like she had not expected to see me.
“Lord Zaar!”
She said as she had collected her thoughts. “Ida, please come in,” I said, seeing her still standing on formation circle. “Thank You, Lord Zaar,” She said as she stepped inside the parlor.
She is Ida Salazar, the woman with a textbook-perfect fighting style. Her battles in Fort Ardon had quite famous and put her in the eyes of the Grandmaster.
“Ida, do you know why are you here?” I asked, “No, I had gotten the order from the council to come here with coordinates of this place,” She said as she looked around.
“I had asked the council for you, as I have an offer that you might be interested in?” I said, and hearing that curiosity couldn’t help but dawned on her face for a second before it became expressionless.
“I will be honored if I could be any help to you,” She said; I smiled hearing that.
“I want you to be my mentee,” I said, and huge surprise couldn’t help but appear on her face. “Isn’t only Grandmaster could have mentees?” She asked, “I am Grandmaster,” I said, and a medallion appeared in front of me.
It twirled in the air for a second before disappearing, but it was enough for her to know what it was and what it represented.
“I already have three mentees, and you will be forth if you accept my offer.” I said, “Though I have to tell you, there is a real Grandmaster powerhouse interested in you; Grandmaster Victor is really good at teaching mentees,” I informed her just when she came out of her shock.
It would be fine if I did not tell her as she would not know, but I could not do that, she needs to know all her options, and if she did not accept for knowing that, it is fine too, I have other options to choose.
“Grandmaster Victor Moriss,” She said softly after a few seconds. Grandmaster Victor has quite a reputation in the Pyramid.
He is head of one of the five super training facilities and is also known to take many students and mentees. Of all the Grandmaster alive, he had the biggest number of students and mentees, fifty-two of them.
It is also true that he is also quite good at teaching; nearly all his students and mentees reach Master class, seven of them are steps away from becoming a Grandmaster.
Ida remained quiet for a few minutes, thinking with various emotions appearing in her eyes; it was about ten minutes before she looked up to me.
“Forgive me for being brazen, but can I ask you why you have chosen me? and what I will get from taking you as a mentor?” She asked, and I couldn’t help but be impressed by her courage. Even as talented people as her would not dare to ask such questions to the person of my standing.
“I will be honest with you; I need someone with a powerful bloodline. To be precise, I will be performing experiments on your Bloodline,” I said, and alarm flashed in her eyes. She was so alarmed that she took a step back with fear in her eyes.
“As for what you will get, you will get my experiments will try to achieve, a Bloodline Core,” I said, shocking the hell out of her.
Bloodline Core is the most precious thing for a Bloodline host; it is a clear door to becoming a Grandmaster. Those who created Bloodline cores and all of them were able to reach the Grandmaster class in less than two decades.
