Chapter 2689: 64 Cycles II
?2689 64 Cycles II
"Sixty-four cycles," I said as I looked at the lone person sitting in the luminescent pool; the two people had already come out, leaving only her, who now had reached her limit.
"Miss Roya, you can come out," I said and blocked the luminescent energy from entering inside her. she had reached the limit, and it would only harm her body.
A second later, she began to get up; as she did, the bark layer covering her body began to dry up before flying down with the air.
"How are you feeling?" I asked as she summoned her armor over her body. "powerful," she replied with a single word. She had gained considerable advancement through this process, and her body had become firmer and more powerful than before.
"I had thought I had reached the absolute limit of my level, but it seemed like I had been very wrong about it," she said as she looked at me.
"There is still some space to grow before you reach the absolute limit of Master class," I said with a smile. She had reached her limit, but I had expanded it with some skillful use of rule-bending power, and now it will be up to fill that opened space.
I couldn't help but wonder how long it would take her to achieve it; I don't think it would be much, a year at most if she survived all the risks she is going to take.
"All right, everyone, go back to harvesting resources; we still have a few hours before we have to leave," I said, and within seconds, all of them disappeared, leaving me alone once more.
I looked at the luminescent pool, which still had some water, but not enough for a single person. I looked at it for a moment before moving again and beginning to harvest the resources.
The luminescent pools are rare and hard to find, but I am sure I will be able to find some in my time here, and if I am able to strengthen a few people with it, it would be amazing. Even more amazing if I find a High-Grandmaster class luminescent pool, which is extremly rare that they had only found till now.
I really wished they had left it alone instead of taking all its water and sending it to Pyramid, making it completely useful for me.
I hope I will find one, and I have also already begun to make changes to my soul sense, so I will be able to detect it. It might be harder for others, but not me; I would just need a few days, and I would be able to achieve it.
A few hours passed, and it was already evening; the luminescent trees began to shine even brighter, and this place began to resemble more and more like heaven as it became darker and darker.
Lord Yazdi had said that I should return at nightfall as things became dangerous, but I had already told him it would be a little late.
While this ruin is dangerous, we have maximized our time in this place; we can not just hole up in the castle at nightfall. It is a waste of precious time, especially when our enemies are not doing the same. Even when the night appeared, it did not change anything in the Grimms; they were still the resources.
Hun!
A few minutes passed by when I saw the monsters becoming active, just not toward us but also toward the Grimms.
Rip Rip Rip
My strings moved, and within a couple of seconds, nine masters and two Grandmaster class monsters got divided into the two. I am much more silent than my counterpart, who turned them into the ashes.
The monsters in the forest made the movements, but the monsters in the most dangerous place did not.
There had not been a single monster that came out of the lake; earlier, I had asked Ashlyn to release some of her aura in the lake, which had worked better than I had imagined, as no monsters had come out of the lake.
'Lord Zaar, I am finished harvesting all the resources in my area,' said star 11, aka Lida, 'Move to the area of star 7 and help in the harvest,' I ordered.
In the next hour, I got a couple of such messages, and like the first one, I moved them to a different area to help others harvest. I want them to finish before ten, and they likely would, considering I am handling all the monsters that came to the attack.
We have been attacked by tens of monsters, and now all of them lying dead, which kind of warned the other monsters that now, barely any monsters are attacking.
Soon, it is nine, and we have nearly finished harvesting the area around Lake Samson, including me, and now that I am free, it is time I do the job I have come here to do.
'Ready for battle,' I said to all the Masters and Grandmasters and flew up; soon, I was high in the sky and flew toward my enemy, who had been in the sky since the beginning.
"Zaar," said the Grimm as I stopped a few hundred meters away from me. "Crefa," I said to the Bloodfire Hyenaman.
The Grimm in front of me is crefa of the Bloodfire Hyenamen tribe; it is completely red and wearing a blood-red armor, which seems to be made of burning blood. It gives him quite a scary look, more than other Grimms.
"Seeing how cowardly you were behaving all day, I did not think you would come," It said, and while speaking, fumes of bloody flame came out of its mouth.
"Why wouldn't I come? I just wanted to harvest the resources first, considering how our battle will end up destroying this wonderful place," I replied as I looked down at the luminescent forest below me.
"True; I wanted for the same reason; it is quite a hassle to harvest resources, but with you humans, we will be able to get all the resources with the mirror efforts," It said and laughed, and the fumes of bloodfire coming out of its mouth have become bigger.
Snort!
"You seemed quite confident; not many people were able to remain such confident in front of me," I asked, to which it let out a fiery snort.
"What is there to be afraid of; I know there is a huge difference of power between us, and your strings are pretty much useless against those who had a great difference of power with you," It replied, and when I heard that smile on my face couldn't help but become bigger.
If I had told it what had happened in the last ruin, it wouldn't have been this confident. Though I have to say, some of the things it said are right, especially about the difference of power.
It is very strong, and I would have to use every advantage I have against it; even with them, I might have to summon my shields, and I will do that without hesitation if I feel a danger to my life.
Though that is the last option, I would not use it unless I really need to.
