317 Let me tell you what’s going to happen
Diana then said to him : “It’s very simple, when he died, thanks to the most ancient magic, he sealed this sword here and distributed its powers among his three students.
He warned us that only the strongest of us would have the power to take this sword, and when Elias killed the ancient God of Destruction, I finally inherited all of his powers and knowledge. Since then, I am the sole owner of the most powerful sword that has ever existed, so Priest, how do you plan to fight the true God of War ?”
A smile that gave Diana goosebumps appeared on Miguel’s face and he then unleashed his formidable aura as he had rarely had the opportunity to do before, and when he saw Diana’s confidence crumble he said to her : “My husband is so much more powerful than this speudo master of the ancient Gods that I almost feel sorry for you… You know Diana, instead of thinking you were all powerful and above everyone else, you should have continued to train instead of enjoying the good life your Titan husband was giving you.”
He also put himself in a fighting position and he said to her : “Let me tell you something, my husband is the most intelligent being in this universe, do you really think we didn’t know that the former owner of this sword had managed to hide it and find a replacement to take his place. During all these millennia, Elias and I have prepared for this confrontation while you, without this sword and the powers of the God of War your level is not even that of our Warrior Spirits of Stage 2.
He added just to provoke her : “I confess that I am disappointed, I had hoped to meet a much stronger opponent, it won’t even be funny in the end.”
The golden flames on Diana’s sword doubled in volume and she said before rushing towards him at the speed of light : “This is what we’ll see. An insect will always be an insect, no matter how strong you have become, you can’t defeat a God.”
Miguel then concentrated all his available chakra in his sword and he parried the blow hoping that his sword would be powerful enough to counter this divine sword.
With Elias they had made the bet to use this ore which had formed due to the intensity of the fights in their world to destroy this divine sword, and they had only been able to create two weapons with the little ore that they had found, this sword which was entirely made of it, and the sword of Elias which was a mixture of Acrium and this ore.
It was the first time that he used this sword in a real fight, because it was the first time in a long time that he had to face such an opponent, but he was confident about his performance because with Elias they had trained tirelessly for this moment, and this sword had always been able to parry his attacks.
When their swords came into contact, the shockwave that followed swept everything in its path but both of them camped on their positions trying to gain the upper hand in the fight.
Then suddenly Diana moved a good distance away from him and she said : “This time you’re done Priest, in the end your husband will never know what happened to you because you’ll just turn to ash.”
Miguel smirked and then he said to her as he took some of the golden flames that had ventured on his body in his hand : “You really underestimate me, the power has gone to your head and that is what will cause your downfall.”
Miguel crushed the golden flames in his hand and they disappeared instantly, as did the ones still on his body.
The golden flames were impossible to disperse or counter and they were only formed of these golden particles that were in the layer of divine energy that Jordan had told them about, and if he had never been able to disperse them, it was because he didn’t have full access to that layer of divine energy, after all, he wasn’t a God.
Thanks to Jordan he had finally understood what this layer of energy parallel to the spiritual energy was and to know that only the Gods could use it had helped him understand many things.
He had gained limited access to this layer of divine energy through his Dual Cultivation bond that he had shared with Elias for a short time. However, Elias wasn’t a God at the time and it really demonstrated the special status that Warrior Spirits had always had compared to other creatures.
Thus, thanks to this limited access which allowed him to draw and store a certain quantity of these golden particles to use them in his spells if necessary, he had found the ideal parry to counter these flames.
Since he couldn’t disperse them he chose to absorb the golden particules that were in these flames and store them, as if he was absorbing fire particles that were in a Talisman or crystal.
Over time he had realized that absorbing Elias’ golden flames made him much stronger, just like Jordan his chakra and soul force energy reserves had increased considerably and his body had gradually become completely impervious to magic, no spell could hurt him anymore not even these golden flames.
At Diana’s stunned look he said to her : “These golden flames have absolutely no effect on me, you saw my husband using them earlier, did you really think that in all the time I’ve been with him I wouldn’t have found a way to counteract these flames.
Now that you have a better idea of my power, let me tell you what’s going to happen… I will destroy this sword and I will deliver your daughter to the Gods whose men were held prisoners by her and who for the most part died in her hands, justice will be done.
As for you, I won’t kill you… At least not yet, I will wait until you see all your dreams of greatness destroyed because even if you managed to get your hands on some Acrium you will never be a match for us.”
Now that he was sure that his sword wouldn’t be destroyed by the one Diana held in her hands, he decided to attack her and he had to admit that she was good.
The knowledge she had gained from inheriting the powers of the God of War probably helped her stand up to him, at least she could stand up to the warrior that he was, so it was time for him to show her how the Priest that he was fought.
