Chapter 394 - Interrogators (Part One)
Chapter 394: Interrogators (Part One)
Zhao Anan could imagine what Shangguan Ning must have gone through.
Her father and mother were separated as well because her father felt lonely and had an affair with a model who was ten years younger.
Her parents had divorced when Zhao Anan was 12 years old. All she knew was that her father had left her mother and her for someone else.
She hated that young model but she hated her father even more because even if the young model had not happened, there would have been some other woman who would lure him away and make him betray his family.
The external temptation was just part of the reason. What laid deep within was that the man was not responsible at all.
Zhao Anan had her father’s family name before, but after her parents’ divorce, she changed it into her mother’s surname.
Her mother, Zhao Zhao had already cut all connections with her father and they were living a separate life. But despite that, Zhao Anan still hated her father to the deepest degree whenever she thought of him.
Her mother was not only born into an aristocratic family but had been a girl with extreme beauty. It was said that her mother and her aunt had been the two most beautiful flowers of A City back then and there were numerous people who were courting them.
But her father still ended up falling for someone else after being married for dozens of years.
But it seemed that Shangguan Ning had had a worse experience than she did. She survived under her stepmother’s domination after her real mother was forced to die by her stepmother. It must have been very difficult to grow up to become who she was now.
Shangguan Ning was way too kind hearted. Had it been her, she would have poisoned the horrible couple before she grew up.
Zhao Anan came to Shangguan Ning and comforted her. “It is all in the past now. We can do whatever we want with this half dead woman so that she would know what it feels like being live in hell.”
Shangguan Ning had stopped feeling bad about her mother’s death as she used to. Although her heart still ached for her mother who had sacrificed her own life for her but she was able to remain calm now maybe because of the revenge that she had extracted.
If her mother were still here, she would have wanted her daughter to live a happy and healthy life.
She didn’t tell Shangguan Ning anything or reveal anything to her only brother, Huang Lihan, probably because she didn’t want Shangguan Ning live in hatred or seek revenge.
Shangguan Ning hugged Zhao Anan back and showed a slight smile on the face, “Yes, I have been wanting to torment Shangguan Rouxue for a very long time.”
“Beauty, you don’t need to do anything. You just sit and watch the show. Didn’t I tell you that I am the director? You better not let my nephew get too close to this 18+ scene, otherwise he might pick up the habit of whipping people.”
Zhao Anan pressed Shangguan Ning back down on the seat. She was a careless woman but could be cautious at times.
Shangguan Ning needed to be well protected at the moment. Nothing should happen to her. She better stay away from these two dangerous women. What if they suddenly came up with some horrid plot because of which Shangguan Ning could get hurt?
Having said the words, Zhao Anan went back to the bedside.
She raised her hand and slapped hard on Shangguan Rouxue’s tender face. “Seems that you are not a good girl either. Thanks to Ms. Tang’s reminder, otherwise I would have ignored you. You should definitely thank Ms. Tang for dragging you down when she couldn’t take it anymore.”
Zhao Anan said as she turned to Tang Yun on the other bed and smiled at her. “Thank you for being such a good woman and cooperating with me in this movie making. I will save the knife stabbing thing for later.”
Tang Yun felt creeped out. She had started to collect information about Shangguan Rouxue recently and had it ready for a time like this.
Although she was in the same team as Shangguan Rouxue, to remove Shangguan Ning and her child but as trouble came their way, Tang Yun threw her under the bus to save herself.
Zhao Anan had wanted to create trouble between them. She had wanted them to turn on each other so that she could gain something from it.
Apparently, she succeeded. It had been the perfect ploy to trap these selfish women.
Shangguan Rouxue started to cry. Unlike Tang Yun, she looked very beautiful even while crying, fragile and innocent, making it difficult for anyone to do anything to her.
“Anan, don’t listen to Tang Yun. I have always been nice to my sister. She has been misunderstanding me all the time. Tang Yun and Jing Yiran were the culprits for what happened yesterday. They threatened me because of which I had to tag along. I am the last one who would hurt my sister. She is my only family left now.”
Zhao Anan listened to Shangguan Rouxue with interest. Her eyes widened at her words. “Oh, really? So you are innocent? But your mother died because of Ning, don’t you hate her?”
Shangguan Rouxue started to think that Zhao Anan was beginning to believe her. “No, not at all. I have always been a good friend to my sister, and I will never hate her. I had done terrible things to her before and I have been saying sorry to her for the same for a long time now. Please forgive me!”
“I don’t blame my sister for what happened with mother. She deserved it. She needed to be punished for what she had done. But I never knew what my mother did. If I had, I would have stopped her from doing it.”
Anyone who didn’t know the situation well, would have trusted Shangguan Rouxue and thought her to be a wonderful girl, kind and gentle and imagined Shangguan Ning to be the bad one who forced her mother and father to die.
Shangguan Rouxue was used to creating such a show so that everyone trusted her rather than Shangguan Ning. She only showed the worst of herself to Shangguan Ning when they were alone.
Sitting on the chair at the door next to Lu, Shangguan Ning had no change in expressions on her face as she listened to Shangguan Rouxue’s fabricated story.
But Lu glanced at Shangguan Ning in astonishment after hearing what Shangguan Rouxue had just narrated. She said, “You look calm.”
