Chapter 420 - 20% of the Shares
Chapter 420: 20% of the Shares
After Jing Yiran was driven out of Family Jing, he settled down in a small villa which was registered under Ji Bo’s name. But as a matter of fact, it was his own villa.
He had already thought of many alternatives after he transferred Jingsheng’s shares. He had acquired many properties under someone else’s name. In this way, they would avoid being confiscated by Family Jing.
But the properties under his name had all been sealed within a day, and the money in his coffers was reducing quickly. The rumor was that the honored Second Master of Family Jing became a hobo overnight!
A hobo? Bah, he was one of the top five richest men in A City!
The doctor left after taking care of his wounds. Jing Yiran had been suffering from a high fever since the night before and he only felt slightly better by the evening.
Ji Bo had arranged a servant for him, who made a light dinner for him, but Jing Yiran didn’t eat anything. After catching up with the latest news of A City, he fell asleep.
In his slumber he felt a woman sitting next to him, wiping his face with a cool, damp towel.
As the woman’s hands touched his face, they felt rather rough. But she smelled sweet, just like candies.
Jing Yiran wanted to open his eyes to see who the woman was, but he couldn’t seem to wake up.
All he could hear was a soft voice sighing by his ears. “Why bother…”
The following morning, Jing Yiran woke up and wanted to find that woman before anything else.
But no one was around and he couldn’t see anything to indicate that last night had been real.
Could it have been a dream?
But he had had that dream more than once. It felt extremely real.
Every time he got injured and fell into a painful haze, that woman would appear no matter where he was – at Family Jing’s or at the hospital’s. Even when he was here, that woman could still find him.
Who was it?
Why was she taking care of him?
Why was she always gone every time he woke up?
Jing Yiran frowned and summoned the servant. “Did anyone come to my room after I fell asleep?”
The servant shook his head and said, “No, I am the only one here. No one else visited.”
“Could there be anything wrong with the door or the window? Could anyone have sneaked in later in the night?”
The servant got startled and responded. “Impossible! I went to sleep after I shut the doors and windows and I was the one who opened them this morning. There was nothing amiss.”
Jing Yiran shook his head impatiently and asked the servant to leave.
He might have considered it a dream if it had occurred once or twice. But it had happened too many times for it to be simply his imagination.
This woman came in silence and went away without leaving a trace. It would be terrible if she wanted to kill him someday because she would be able to do it without any problem.
Jing Yiran sobered up when he had this thought. He finished the breakfast in a hurry and had just laid down when Ji Bo came there.
The newly wedded Ji Bo looked not much different from his usual self. In fact, he looked less energetic and thinner than before.
Jing Yiran had known Ji Bo for a long time. Although he had no idea who his wife was, he knew that Lan Yu must be someone extraordinary.
Jing Yiran teased. “Yo, President Ji, it seems that you are enjoying your married life to the fullest. Look at your face, much paler and narrower than before. Did you have fun with the bride all night long and failed to catch up on your sleep?”
Ji Bo sat down on the sofa in Jing Yiran’s bedroom. He looked gentle but sounded displeased. “Mind your own business.”
Yang Muyan was a demon!
Ji Bo felt indescribably disgusted after marrying her.
It was a torture to look at her or hear her talk, let alone touch her.
He had thought that Ji Lili was disgusting enough, but did not expect that Yang Muyan was even more hateful than her. To top it, he could not even show his disgust.
In some way, Yang Muyan and Ji Lili resembled each other. They didn’t care about what others thought and always did what they wanted to do. They were both spoiled and selfish since they were young.
Ji Bo hated such women. He preferred someone who was elegant, gentle and simple.
But women reared in upper class families tended to be full of conspiracies. They were not innocent and pure because of their families’ dynamics.
Hearing what JI Bo said, Jing Yiran was not annoyed. He was just in a temporary slump and would soon be the man of Family Jing. He had been making this plan for ages and was nearing his goal slowly.
What he had not expected was that Jing Zhongxiu would discover the share transference so quickly. Otherwise he could have stayed for a bit longer in Family Jing.
Good that he had been prepared, otherwise he would really have become a penniless hobo, forced to stay on the street.
All smart guys had backups. So did he!
The properties which Mo Lan had given him were sold by him and converted into concealed assets.
“You sound so intimidating this morning. Did the bride refuse to let you take her last night?” Jing Yiran laughed. Just the effort of laughing caused agony throughout his entire body, driving him into tears.
But he didn’t care about the pain and continued to tease Ji Bo without hesitation. “I knew that the woman was not so simple. God, you might be killed by her someday!”
Ji Bo got furious instantly. But he was a well behaved man who knew how to control his temper.
No one except for Jing Yichen could manage to make him bellow in anger.
He believed that he was still better than these ordinary people, including Jing Yiran.
“I am not here to discuss these useless matters with you. I am here to talk about Jingsheng and Family Ji’s enterprises. I will leave if you continue to be such a child.”
Ji Bo stood up and was about to leave.
Jing Yiran stopped laughing and showed a disagreeable expression. Then he said calmly, “Hold on. We do need to talk about the shares, because I think that 20% shares of Jingsheng in return for 20% shares of Ji’s is a bad deal!”
