My World Traveling System: The Harbinger of Death

Chapter 146: A Literal Black Hole In Her Stomach

Chapter 146: A Literal Black Hole In Her Stomach

—–

After getting back home, Frank and company began preparations for dinner, the new guest Vheslia was a rather strong eater, so Gwendolyn cooked more than before.

Frank could not believe that the little girl in front of him could be a strong eater or something, if her torso were not as big as his, how could she possibly eat more than him?

However, everything changed when eating time finally came, Gwendolyn had done fried man-eating fish directly harvested from the Dark Lair Dungeon, whose scent filled the house.

There was also broth made with the fish’s head and bones, and Gwendolyn had added a lot of herbs and such, increasing the flavor of the product.

Frank glanced at Vheslia as she ate more than three fishes by herself, and over five pots of broth, accompanied with at least three freshly baked bread and almost an entire bottle of wine.

Indeed, she was quite the monster.

“Vheslia-san, you eat way too much How can everything fit in your stomach?!” asked Kamei.

“Y-Yeah, how is that even possible?” asked Hilvera.

“Maybe she has a black hole in her belly?” asked Asterion half-jokingly.

“Asterion, don’t be disrespectful with Vheslia, there is no way that something like that could be possible…” said Cathyl while having her head.

“You sure eat a lot, missy!” said Annabelle.

“Actually, I really do have a black hole in my stomach!” laughed Vheslia.

Everyone glanced at her with a bit of disbelief.

Gwendolyn was not, though, most likely because… she already knew this.

“Are you serious?” asked Frank.

“Y-Yeah… It is a pretty long story, but err… to resume it, a few years ago, I used to experiment in my body to find ways to make myself more capable of using Mana… And well, among these experiments, there was one where I would open a black hole inside of my Mana Core to let Mana from the outside freely enter all the time, like that, I would be able to have Infinite Mana!” laughed Vheslia.

“How could that even work? You would have died…” said Frank.

“Well, it… didn’t. And I made it wrong… the black hole appeared inside of my stomach, and it somehow fused with my demon psychology… Like some kind of Black Hole Curse… Long story short, now I have to feed it a lot, so it is happy, and it does not eat me instead… Well, it kind of converts some of the food in Mana! And I think I am now capable of eating almost anything, not like it makes glass tasty or something though!” said Vheslia.

“…”

“…”

“…”

“…”

“…”

“…”

“I told you that she was weird,” said Gwendolyn.

“Eh?! You told them that I am weird?! But am I not incredible? I can literally eat anything now and partly convert it into Mana! I’ve been trying to find ways to weaponize this thing into spells, but I’ve only figured a few and are not as effective,” said Vheslia.

“You want to weaponize that?! What do you want to be? Kirby?!” asked Kamei.

“K-Kirby? What is that?” asked Vheslia in puzzlement.

“Nothing, never mind,” sighed Frank.

Although Frank got to know more about Vheslia, the thing about black holes came to his mind more and more.

Even though he had something in mind, he seemed to not be able to properly convert it into a Spell.

Perhaps if he were to buy a Skill Book like in the Monk Clan in Earth, he might one day find something, but for now, he had decided to not go there for a while.

“Learning how to make a Black Hole? I can teach you, yeah… It is quite a high-level Spell though, and it requires a lot of knowledge and concentration, especially while making the magic circle!” said Vheslia.

“I will do my best to learn it fast,” said Frank.

“Alright, alright, I like those crimson eyes, you’re pretty set into it,” said Vheslia while nodding.

“Starting tomorrow I will give you some classes about it. It is nice that you’re a Dark Attribute Mage too, I might be able to teach you many Spells if you’re as talented as Gwendolyn make you up to be,” said Vheslia.

“Thanks a lot,” said Frank politely.

As the dinner ended, the family stood resting for a bit in their seats, as they chatted about various things, until the thing about the monsters in the dungeon arose again.

“Hey, do you remember that Frank can turn plants into Monsters? Maybe we could make him turn a bunch of plants into monsters inside the Dungeon and kill them for Mana Cores?” wondered Annabelle.

“That’s right…” said Gwendolyn.

“Do the monster plants you create have Mana Cores? I know that Undead don’t but what about plants?” asked Asterion.

“Well, from what I remember, Ginseng was born with one Mana Core and even magic… And the other monster plant I made, that lettuce, did not have one when I butchered it, there is also a Snake made out of grass that I am planning to tame eventually, but that one does not have it either, although it might grow one as it levels up…” said Frank.

“So was Ginseng a one-time thing?” wondered Hilvera.

“I don’t really know, maybe or maybe not. Perhaps there is a certain chance for a monster plant to appear with a Mana Core… But to be honest, it is simply more efficient to grind Mana Cores in Dungeons, we can just swap around them for now, bringing plants into the dungeon and converting them into monsters for the possibility of one of them having a Mana Core does not seem quite worth it for me,” sighed Frank.

“You might be right there… Whenever you make that one Skill that lets you convert them into monsters level up some more, perhaps you could one day guarantee it,” said Gwendolyn.

“Yeah, although for now, I am good as things are… Let’s keep working hard on grinding tomorrow,” said Frank.

“Sure thing!” said everyone, as night finally came and the kids went to sleep first, leaving Frank speaking with Gwendolyn, Cathyl, and now Vheslia, who was quite the strong drinker.

By the way, Vheslia finally got drunk after three bottles of wine, and she was a lewd drunk.

“Heeey boy, are you into short stacks by the by~?” she asked coquettishly.

“Short… what?” asked Frank in confusion.

“Vheslia, shut up already,” said Gwendolyn.

“Haha, she’s so funny when drunk! She really wants to bring you to bed!” laughed Cathyl.

“Sorry Frank, but as I told you… She’s weird,” said Gwendolyn while sighing.

“Haha… Don’t worry about that,” sighed Frank, as he walked out to assess some things.

“Oi, where are you going pretty boy? Come back!” cried Vheslia.

Frank walked outside as he glanced at the starry night.

“Hades, how are things going?” he asked.

Flash!

Suddenly, a floating skull covered in blue flames, Hades, emerged.

“Hm, I’ve gathered enough Dead Spirits, they’re all in here. What are you planning to do with so many?” asked Hades.

“Protection,” said Frank, waving his hand and conjuring Visualization, making the dozens of dead spirits floating around him visible to Gwendolyn, Cathyl, and Vheslia!

“Those are…! Dead Spirits… or souls, as we call them,” said Gwendolyn.

“So many… this is a bit terrifying…” said Cathyl.

“Ueh? What are those little ghosts?” asked Vheslia.

“I’ve slowly managed to learn how to call them, and they also speak to me about many things, aside from Zero, Nezhit, and the others, the Dead Spirits are always around, watching over and informing me of anything strange around here and often within the town too. However, I’ve called them for something else today, as I want them to help me protect all of us,” said Frank.

“Protect us?” asked Gwendolyn.

“Yeah, we’ll turn your house into Cursed Mansion,” said Frank.

“Oh, I see… EEH?!” asked Gwendolyn in surprise.

“W-Wait a second, is that even possible?!” asked Cathyl.

“What better security than a living house?” asked Frank.

“A living house… hehe, am I tripping?” asked Vheslia.

“You’re certainly not, Vheslia… So, Gwendolyn, can I? Ah, don’t worry, it is not like it will begin talking to us or something, actually, it will mostly remain in silence, although it might talk to us from time to time,” said Frank.

“I see… Eh? You said that it wouldn’t talk to us, but then you said it would from time to time?” asked Gwendolyn.

“From time to time, nothing bad about it,” said Frank.

“…Alright, fine… If it is for security… But tell all the people that will possess the House to maintain it clean and to not spy over us while we sleep… Or when we are in the bathroom!” said Gwendolyn.

“Sure thing. (I don’t think that’s possible, they will be watching everything as one entity, but they don’t hold any maliciousness, so I don’t think it’s even a bad thing, but I better just tell her what she wants…)” said Frank while thinking about the truth.

“Then… Undead Transformation!” said Frank, conjuring the Death Attribute Spell ‘Undead Transformation’ that can transform any corpse or inanimate object into an Undead with any available Dead Spirit/Soul.

Flash!

The Dead Spirits began to possess the entire house, condensing into a single and combined super-soul, while enhancing the house materials through their Mana and essence!

The house began to tremble, but it was simply a few aftereffects…

However, the cries of kids from the second floor began to be heard aloud.

“HYAAAAAAAAAAH! MOMMY!!! MOMMYYYYYYYY…!”

“W-WHAT IS THAT?!”

“THE HOUSE IS MOVING! HEEEELP!”

“Is nii-sama doing this?”

“Oh, the kids are sleeping inside!” cried Gwendolyn, running upstairs but almost tripping over by the tremors.

“S-Sorry about that…” apologized Frank with an apologetic smile, as the kids walked out of the house with angry expressions.

The house behind them was now emanating an eerie and bluish aura, and the windows moved around as if they were eyes.
