Chapter 461: The Vampires Gather
Chapter 461: The Vampires Gather
—–
Clementine and Harumi rushed inside the room after the whole meeting had begun. They were caught by surprise by this whole thing, so they had to get ready and pretty for the meeting at time record.
“Lady Clementine is finally here.”
“S-She took a long time…”
“Indeed…”
“S-Sorry for the delay, everyone, today was my resting day so I was… sleeping until Frank and company arrived. Oh, Kaguya and… Sadako? Nice to meet you two.” Said Clementine, she acted very polite and friendly, unlike the cold woman they had heard about.
“It has been some time, Clementine, you look just as pristine as ever.” Said Kaguya with a calm smile.
“Ah, you’re flattering me. You also look youthful and beautiful, Kaguya. It is obvious that the blood of your grandmother is rushing through your veins.” Said Clementine.
“A-Ah… N-Nice to meet you.” Said Sadako.
Clementine saw over her throne as Harumi sat at her right side, she began to eat a cupcake right away.
“Ah… You might be the adoptive daughter of Kaguya, right? I am happy to hear that your conflict could be resolved peacefully, and that the culprit behind it was captured and rightfully punished.” Said Clementine.
Clementine had received news about this event, but not in detail, and she didn’t knew about the Chaos Gate being behind everything…
“Yes, it is me, and thank you, Clementine-sama.” Said Sadako.
“You’re such a pretty Oni girl… I’ve heard that you’re the granddaughter of Shuten Doji, is it? I can only guess how strong you are, and the potential that you might have in the future!” said Clementine.
“Thank you.” Said Sadako.
“Have you been looking for friends lately? My dear daughter is kind of like you, she also has a similar history, have you considered making her your friend? It could make our ties as families grow tighter too! Why don’t you consider it, dear?” asked Clementine.
“E-Eh?”
“Mom! Stop asking young girls you meet to become my friends, it is embarrassing…” sighed Harumi.
“A-Ah! S-Sorry… But it is not good to be in your room all the time.” Said Clementine.
“Ahem…”
Frank interrupted the blabber before it was about to spiral into something completely out of context and out of the topic he had come here for.
“R-Right! Anyways Frank, what’s the reason of your visit and of this meeting, Kaguya, Sadako?” asked Clementine.
“(I never thought I would see her change so much…)” thought Kaguya. She was old enough to have seen the more reserved Clementine of the past, when Harumi wasn’t still a thing. But the girl had certainly changed the woman a lot.
“(S-She’s really fussy. Is this how the head of the Vampire Clan of Tokyo is? I hope my grandpa is looking over me…)” sighed Sadako.
“(Haha… She’s really into Harumi having friends. Maybe she dislikes how her friends are two boys? I can see that she’s way jealous over it, so it is realistic that she wants her friends to be girls instead, and if they’re strong it is better so they can protect her from us, I bet…)” Frank sighed internally, he saw through the Vampire mother rather sharply!
“Indeed, I was quite busy myself, so please speak for once what do you want.” Sighed one of the Vampire Manor Heads, a young man with long red hair resembling a mane, and a t-shirt that shows his muscular torso, he had a gallantly and womanizer nature to him. Frank noticed that he looked over the girls on his group quite strangely, but he let it slide for now.
“I came here to ask the Vampire Clan to make an official alliance with the Monk Clan and become part of our Clan Alliance of Tokyo.” Said Frank, his eyes filled with resolve as he proposed something utterly ridiculous!
“…”
“…”
“…”
“…”
“…”
“…”
However, what he received was…
Silence.
The Vampires looked at him trying to find any clue if what he had just said was a joke or something. But Frank seemed dead-serious.
Some of the more asshole Vampires couldn’t contain they laughter.
“Pffff… Hahahaha!”
“Is this young Demigod seriously?”
“I can’t believe it. He’s really being serious…”
“How could we even make an alliance with the Monk Clan, and even become part of their clan too?”
“Just a few centuries ago we were hunting each other’s heads, what nonsense are you talking about?”
Frank received very harsh responses…
However, Clementine remained in silence as she looked at the young man’s blazing eyes. Frank ignored anyone else except her. Because she was the one that actually mattered here.
“Frank, what you have just said… Are you serious?” asked Clementine.
“I am. There’s a bigger threat than anything the clans in here had ever faced before, cooperation is necessary so we can manage to protect Tokyo from it.” Said Frank.
“A menace?”
“What? I doubt it is something we can’t handle.”
“There are more than ten Demigods here, alongside our lady, what threat is there that we cannot face?”
“Nonsense, he just wants our help for his own problems.”
“This is a pointless meeting, go face your problems by yourself.”
“It is not just a problem of ours, Chaos Gate is real, and they’re going to target any of you next… Have you not heard about them before? Where are you living, in mars or something?” asked Frank.
“Chaos Gate… that organization. Is this the threat you’re speaking about, Frank?” asked Clementine, her intrigue began to grow deeper as she furrowed her eyes.
“Clementine-sama, you don’t have to worry about it, we can handle it.”
“Indeed, don’t worry.”
“Please dispose of this annoying young man.”
“Silence.” Said Clementine, her presence emanated from her body like a flashing crimson-red flame, all the Vampires fell silent the second after, frozen in fear…
“Yes, the Chaos Gate is our greatest enemy so far, and not only from Japan… of the entire world.” Said Frank.
Frank was about to reveal a truth that the Vampires didn’t knew about yet, something that will surely shock them…!
“Go on…” said Clementine.
