Chapter 2041 – Northern Sacred Supreme
Chapter 2041 – Northern Sacred Supreme
A rain of blood from the skies indicated the death of a sacred supreme. The sacred supreme from the Cardinal Sacred Palace was dead!
He really was dead!
The dazed crowd stared wordlessly at the dark red horizon. All was quiet. This phenomenon had occurred only once in history—when a sacred supreme fought a powerful demon from the outside. A bloody rain drifted from the skies, the heavens and earth keening when they perished together.
Another sacred supreme had died today, and at the hands of a mere grand supreme!
Stunned, no one so much as twitched a finger. Whether it was outsiders or denizens of the Three Thousand, all of them waited for the fury of the sacred supremes to arrive.
One of the Cardinal Sacred Palace’s sacred supremes was dead, but there was more than one of these august figures in the palace. The Cardinal Sacred Supreme was hailed as the strongest powerhouse in the Three Thousand!
He or one of the other four was certain to descend upon them and break the tomb. Yun Tian had to die for his transgression!
The Disordered Empyrean Supreme was also astounded. She knew that Lu Yun possessed the ability to slay dragons, but that was when he wielded the power of nothing. He’d only needed the Dragonquake Scripture just now to kill a sacred supreme’s primary body through his replica!
She’d also never imagined that he’d dare do such a thing. It was a very grave matter to kill a sacred supreme in the Three Thousand!
There was once an outsider who utilized a combat art of peak development to ensure mutual destruction with a sacred supreme. It also led to the annihilation of that outsider’s clan. They were afflicted with a terrible curse and doomed to never undergo reincarnation.
The patch of existence they occupied had been an entire realm instead of a simple world. That part of existence was likewise shattered and the outsider—so powerful that he’d evolved into nihil—was completely destroyed!
Only the Three Thousand possessed sacred supremes and the world itself protected them. A living, breathing sacred supreme had died at Lu Yun’s hands!
The bloody rain grew in intensity. Lu Yun stood at the highest vantage point of the void as ninety-nine brilliantly golden dragons circled around him. They provided cover from the rain and prevented a single drop from touching the young man.
The dragon spike descended and firmly rooted itself into the ground. Lu Yun lifted his head to find a face forming in the sky.
“Demon from the outside!” A voice crashed through the air when the face sharpened into focus. It was a middle-aged man with a head full of hair. He occupied a lofty position in the void and looked down his nose at Lu Yun.
The young man raised his hand instead of responding and made the dragons tremble, connecting Lu Yun to the earthen veins in the area. Dragonsearch, Dragonshift, and Dragonspike assembled into a complete Dragonquake Scripture. They became a singular sparkling dragon that hovered in and out of sight by Lu Yun’s body.
The young man discovered that… he was resonating with this world. The dao of heaven and earth and its orders accepted Lu Yun.
He’d imprinted his dao heritage onto a tiny human tribe of this world, forming a seed that germinated now when he called upon the Dragonquake Scripture. It sent out shoots and began growing into a true dao heritage.
Sacred Radiance cultivators benefited immensely from the development and spontaneously saw rapid increases in their strength.
Since Lu Yun had found favor in the eyes of heaven and earth, he called upon the energy in his surroundings and directed it into his nascent spirit. The Tome of Life and Death transformed from a state that no one was able to see through into one that didn’t seem to exist.
It vanished from the senses.
Or rather, it was completely masked by the order of heaven and earth. Not even the eye of great dao would detect anything amiss if it scanned Lu Yun from now on. All it would see was an unbounded expanse of the Three Thousand.
Lu Yun himself hadn’t imagined that the Dragonquake Scripture would result in such a wondrous surprise. He also grasped something else in this moment.
Fuxi, Huaxi, Leize, Wahuang, Hongjun, God, and Pangu weren’t from his part of existence. Perhaps they hailed from the Three Thousand.
When he and Jin Huo visited the tomb of the empyrean supreme, she spoke of another cultivation level that should exist after empyrean supreme. That looked to be the sacred supreme level of the Three Thousand.

Perhaps Fuxi came into possession of the Dragonquake Scripture in this world and sent it to the part of existence that Lu Yun resided in. But that gave rise to another question. Where was Lu Yun’s part of existence? How had Fuxi and Tailong brought him here?
While his strength didn’t increase from his latest changes, he could act without reservation. This part of the world recognized him and protected him like it would a cultivator of the Three Thousand. He now enjoyed full freedom to utilize all of his methods.
At the very least, he could deploy the death arts however he wished.
They came from the Tome of Life and Death. With the treasure being hidden by the world, the death arts became combat arts of this part of existence. They had nothing to do with the six orders of the highest degree. If Lu Yun wished to, he could call upon them in any way, shape or form.
It wasn’t the strength of a grand supreme, but the power of the Tome of Life and Death. While the world inside it didn’t measure up to the Three Thousand, he had the vague feeling that there seemed to be a connection between the two.
……
“Your Reverence the Northern Sacred Supreme!” Su Muzhou immediately recognized the giant face. It was one of the five cardinal sacred supremes.
His primary body remained in the Northern Sacred Palace and wasn’t at liberty to move about, but the sacred supreme could project his presence to any part of this world. This enormous face was his projection.
The five sacred palaces were in contact with each other and many even speculated that they were actually just one sacred palace, that they appeared in the five cardinal directions of the Three Thousand for various reasons. It was an unknown state that exceeded spatial order.
“The Northern Sacred Supreme?” Lu Yun snorted. “Don’t bug me!”
BOOM.
The dragon spike lifted in the air and crashed down on the massive projection. The Northern Sacred Supreme roared with fury, but there was nothing he could do if his primary body wasn’t present. The layout of Ancestor’s tomb was still present, so any sacred supremes that dared visit the area would only find certain death.
The Northern Sacred Supreme didn’t dare send a replica since the young man had already killed a sacred supreme of the Cardinal Sacred Palace through his replica. While the Northern Sacred Supreme’s projection could intimidate the others on the scene, it had no effect on Lu Yun.
The dragon spike crushed the projection and reduced it to a wisp of blue smoke. Back in the Cardinal Sacred Palace, the Northern Sacred Supreme grunted and spat out a mouthful of blackish-red blood.
“He’s not the demon from the outside.” Although the Northern Sacred Supreme sat in the void of the Cardinal Sacred Palace, where he sat was the Northern Sacred Palace.
The five sacred palaces were indeed one entity.
