Since Ajax couldn’t fast-forward the time, all he could do until he used his new official skill [Nature’s Vitality Domain] again was to complete his next goals in the Floating Island.
Coincidentally, Ajax could complete two of his goals just by doing one thing and it was to destroy the Golden-Winged Middle-aged Bird Man named Aveline.
By killing him, not only would Ajax complete his revenge for Snow, but he could also become the owner of the Fire Region of the Floating Island.
As for how confident Ajax was in defeating Aveline and conquering the Fire Region, it used to be above 80 percent; however, with the addition of his new official skills, it has crossed 100 percent.

Even though Ajax knew the directions to the Fire Region, it was hundreds of thousands of kilometers away and it would take a lot of time and energy for him.
Hence, Ajax asked the Spirit of the Floating Island.
The Spirit of the Floating Island could be considered as a spiritual consciousness of the Floating Island and stays connected to all the rulers of the Island.
Of course, it treats all the rulers exactly the same and the same rules and privileges are applied to them depending on their seniority.
The old rulers of the Floating Island can’t challenge a new ruler of the Floating Island whereas the new rulers can challenge whoever he wishes.
That’s one of the main reasons why Ajax was not challenged by any of the older rulers despite being a year or so since he officially became the ruler of the Metal Region.

A small orb of light appeared in front of Ajax and replied to him in a calm and composed tone.
However, it didn’t directly guide Ajax to the Fire Region; instead, the light orb asked Ajax, [Metal Ruler, you wish you could conquer the Fire Region?]
“Yes.”
Ajax nodded his head and he was not bothered to let the Spirit of the Floating Island know about his intention.
[Really? If you are sure about the battle prowess that you are going through a direct confrontation, why don’t you just challenge the Fire Region’s Ruler for an official duel]
The light orb suggested Ajax for an official duel because it would be easy and the damage done to the regions involved in the fight would be regional. Of course, one of the rulers dies in the official duel while the other one would be either injured moderately or severely.
But there would be zero damage for the regions and none of the subordinates from the regions would die.
What’s more, the winner of the other region would gain an average loyalty of the other region which would either increase or decrease depending on how their rulers would treat them.
There were cases where the loyalty of the subordinates increased and heavily contributed to the development of the region and expanding the boundaries of the region.
Also, some subordinates betrayed the new ruler in a difficult situation and dethroned him before becoming the ruler of that particular region directly.
“It’s alright! I have no intention of getting new subordinates…not especially the ones who made me hide in fear in my previous visit to the Floating Island.”
Even though the one who gave the order to capture Ajax was Avelin, the ruler of the Fire Region of the Floating Island, Ajax had developed a hatred towards different types of subordinates who searched for him.
After many battles, Ajax naturally became immune to kindness and at the same time, he realized something.
If he showers a little bit of kindness on his enemy’s subordinates, they might be following him for a while; however, there might be some really dead loyal subordinates of his enemy who were waiting to kill him when he was in a tough situation.
Also, Ajax didn’t want someone who would betray him once he died and acknowledge someone else as their new master.
Hence, Ajax was not interested in taking in the subordinates of his enemies.
‘Also, the most important thing was, I want a bloody revenge where I have to feel my thirst for revenge subside.’
With that thought in mind, Ajax replied, “My goal is not to conquer the region to get more subordinates; instead, it is to defeat all the rulers of the Floating Island and become the sole master of the Floating Island.”
After saying that, Ajax waited for a reply from the Spirit of the Floating Island.

In a surprised tone, there was a reply from the Light Orb and there were no more questions from it.
Instead, it replied, [Follow me. I will guide you in the shortest possible route to the Fire Region but you must kill some unevolved monsters in that route. Is that okay for you?]
“I will be glad to have some warm-up before fighting the bigger fish…Haha.”
Ajax replied with a laugh and the light orb didn’t seem to be much surprised about it as the light orb flew in a particular direction at an incredible speed.

As for Ajax, he didn’t waste any time in repeatedly using his movement skill to follow the light orb.
In the Floating Island, there are five regions and they were namely: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Metal. It is the basic knowledge of the Floating Island that everyone knows.
However, there was something that most of the cultivators, including the Five Human Elemental Emperors whose worlds were connected to the Floating Island, didn’t know.
It was, that each one of these regions didn’t share the same boundaries and between each region, there was a huge area where powerful unevolved spirit beasts roamed.
