Aveline believed that inside the Core Region, there was some kind of artifact and whoever got his hands on it would become the master of the entire Floating Island.
Of course, it was just a belief among the rulers of the Floating Island regarding the artifact and becoming the Master of the Floating Island.
According to the Spirit of the Floating Island, one could only enter the Core Region of the Floating Island by conquering the five regions namely, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Metal.
And that’s the reason why everyone was eager to conquer the other regions.
Currently, Aveline has successfully conquered the remaining four regions and met the conditions to enter the Core Region of the Floating Island.
However, before he could ask the Spirit of the Floating Island, someone sneaked an attack on him.

The one who pierced through his body was none other than the Veiled Vampire Emperor that Aveline had taken as his subordinate.
“Yeah…it’s me…Haha.”
Maximus chuckled when he saw the expression on Aveline’s face and nodded his head with a face full of satisfaction.
Maximus has been waiting for this day for a long time. Even though he had to surrender and become Aveline’s subordinate in the middle, he never lost hope and secretly planned to take down Aveline.
“H-how did you remove the Bestial Mark I left in your Spirit Consciousness?”
Even though Aveline knew that Maximus would betray him in the future, he was very careful and imprinted a Quasi-God Grade Slave Imprint in Maximus’s Spirit Consciousness.
However, somehow Maximus has removed that Slave Imprint and backstabbed him.
“Huh? What’s happening? Why can’t I activate my Divine Rules?”

So, Aveline thought to activate his Divine Rules; however, for some reason, he was unable to activate them, which made him shocked and made him more anxious.

Maximus chuckled eerily as he explained why Aveline was unable to activate the Divine Rules.

As for Maximus, he started laughing as he enjoyed Aveline going through pain.

Compared to the pain he was going through, Aveline could not see Maximus, his lifelong enemy, laugh at him.
He became furious and shouted at his special army that had reached 20000 after absorbing all the regions in the Floating Island.

However, there was no response from the Special Army he put his blood and soul to nurture.
“What’s happening? Why are they not doing anything?”
It was another shock that Aveline had received when he saw that the Special Army was standing still without following his orders.
“W-wait a second…did you just laugh? Laughing at your master?”
Suddenly, Aveline noticed that some members of the Special Army were laughing at his current situation and soon, he saw everyone in the Special Army start laughing at him.
“Do you want to know why? It was because I fed them the Divine Water which was also given to me by my ancestor.”
Maximus replied with a mocking smile on his face as he continued, “With the help of the Divine Water from the Heavenly Bestial Realm, whatever you are feeding them to be your slaves had disappeared just like the Slave Imprint on my Spirit Consciousness.”
“Y-you…you…how the hell are you receiving the gifts from your Ancestor? Wasn’t the Heavenly Bestial Realm completely shut off from the Floating Island?”
Aveline was going through a lot of pain which he never experienced in his life; however, there were so many questions in his head.
Questions like how Maximus was able to receive so many items from his ancestor.
How come he didn’t know even when the Slave Imprint in Maximus’s spirit consciousness disappeared?
And more importantly, how come he didn’t realize that Maximus was doing so many things on his back?
It was only some of the questions and there were still many questions in his mind; however, because of the pain, his mind was unable to think straight.
“Damn you…if you want to kill me, just kill me; however, before that, answer my questions.”
Because of the pain, Aveline was speaking in a loud voice as he indirectly asked Maximus to kill him.
“Haha…don’t worry. Even though what you are going through seems painful…oh sorry, it is really painful.”
Maximus chuckled as he continued, “However, it won’t kill you. Instead, the dagger in your body will decrease your pain tolerance to make sure you go through a lot of pain.”
After finished saying what he wanted to say, Maximus asked, “Shall we go back to the Golden City that you built very dearly?”
“M-my Golden City?”
Hearing Maximus’ words, made Aveline cough out a mouthful of black blood due to anger as he shouted at the top of his lungs, “Don’t you dare touch my Golden City. It is the only thing that lets me communicate with my ancestor in the Heavenly Bestial Realm.”
‘Huh? Why the hell did I mention that?’
After saying that, Aveline realized that he said something he should not have said because now, Maximus would make sure to destroy the entire Golden City.
“Haha…I know that. That’s why I am going to destroy the Golden City.”
Aveline raised his brows when he heard Maximus’ words because no one knew about the secret that he could communicate with the ancestor from the Heavenly Bestial Realm through the Golden City.
‘Huh? Communicating with someone from the Heavenly Bestial Realm?’
Ajax, who was enjoying the scene in front of him raised his brows when he heard their conversation.
