The Primordial Beast Nidhogg could did not answer because the avatar of the world tree has all the control of all life around it. Large vines erupted from the ground and charged towards the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg tried to devour these vines but the fine control of both Envoy of Life and the Envoy of the Twin Gods made the vines evade the jaws of the enemy.
Even the numerous snake heads of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg could not bite any part of the world tree. The powerful and unrestrainable Primordial Beast Nidhogg has finally met its match now that the world tree has awakened. The primordial beast that could destroy anything in its path is suddenly immobilized completely by the awakened world tree.
“That goes the rewards. It will definitely reduce the rewards since the world tree itself has participated immensely.” Adrian muttered but he did not really care much for the rewards since the safety of the world tree is more important for him.
“All of you children… attack the monster that wants to burn this mother!” The voice of the world tree commanded as she has spoken instead of Anastacia or Levin Cloud.

Even if the world tree cannot personally kill the Primordial Beast Nidhogg, the children around it has the ability to kill its natural predator instead. If the prey cannot kill the predator, then the former could just attract other beings that could kill the latter for it. This is the natural order of things and even the Primordial Beast Nidhogg or other primordial beasts cannot go against it.

This might reduce the actual contribution of other beings in dealing with the Primordial Beast Nidhogg but it does ensure the death of the enemy. What good is a contribution if they could not kill the Primordial Beast Nidhogg anyway. They would rather get decreased rewards then no rewards at all.

The heart that produced the tyrannical energy suddenly flared up. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg’s own body is starting to become this tyrannical energy itself as it is now sacrificing its physical body to do so.
The body of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly turned into a red ghostly figure with the only remaining physical entity on it is its own heart. A red crystalized heart could be seen at the very chest of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. This is its source of power and is also its greatest weakness. The vines binding the Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly exploded as they could not contain the tyrannical energy.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg is now on its last struggle against the players and the world tree. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg roared as all beings that were near it got burned by the tyrannical aura that it released. The players screamed as the aura that descended upon them felt like they were being burned alive while being choked to death.
The world tree released its healing blessing unto the land and alleviated the symptoms of the aura but did not cancel it entirely. The world tree might be able to heal them and negate the status ailments but it cannot make the player immune. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg is now teetering on the edge of death as it sacrificed its own soul energy to make sure to live.
If the players are desperate then the Primordial Beast Nidhogg is more desperate to live and ascend to a higher being. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg understood that its body will break down unless it makes a drastic action. It should either escape now or do something that will benefit it more. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly charged towards the world tree which made the players believe that it is attempting to devour it for its last desperate act.
The giant avatar of the world tree created a giant barrier made of vines to stop it but the Primordial Beast Nidhogg did not crash into it. What the players did not expect is that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg actually ascended and not dive towards the world tree. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg did aim for the world tree because it aimed for a goal that will give it the best possibility of reigning supreme.
“I SHALL DESTROY THE WORLD BARRIER! I WILL BECOME THE RULER OF THIS WORLD!” The Primordial Beast Nidhogg’s shouted in madness as it actually used its last shred of intelligence to opt for the best outcome for itself.
The Primordial Beast Nidhogg actually thought of the thing that restricted it the most. It was not restricted by the players as they are just ants from its perspective. It was not restricted by the world tree as it is food from its understanding. What restricts the Primordial Beast Nidhogg is none other than the world itself. The world has abandoned the Primordial Beast Nidhogg and therefore no longer has its blessings.
The moment the Primordial Beast Nidhogg has gained its peculiar heart is the moment when it got abandoned by the world. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg no longer cared for the natural order and actually disrupted it instead. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg has broken its vow to do its real job and that is to promote the cycle of rebirth for the world tree.
The Primordial Beast Nidhogg only cared about its own and even absorbed every energy of a devoured world tree. It did not circulate the energy of the world tree to germinate the world tree seed but actually used it for its own benefit. As soon as the Primordial Beast Nidhogg was stripped of its qualifications as a primordial beast and no longer receive energy from the world but is restricted instead.
“If this world betrays me then I shall destroy this world instead!” The Primordial Beast Nidhogg thought as destroying the world barrier is akin to destroying the balance of this world.
The players did not know but the Primordial Beast Nidhogg is actually being heavily restricted by the world. It could only use half of its real power because it is being constrained by the world barrier. If the world barrier did not exist then the Primordial Beast Nidhogg would have destroyed everything and taken the world tree easily. The world itself is going heavily against the Primordial Beast Nidhogg which is why the players and every being could even live until now.
“Once the restriction no longer binds me, I shall destroy this world as revenge! HAHAHA! ALL OF YOU SHALL DIE KNOWING YOU ARE UNABLE TO STOP ME!” The Primordial Beast Nidhogg shouted as if it was cursed by the world but it is actually its own actions that did so.
The Primordial Beast Nidhogg released a vile laugh as its spirit-like body ascended towards the weakened part of the world barrier. Its victory is close and no one could stop it from flying close to the world barrier. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg believed that it shall achieve victory and will no longer be bound by this world.
