Chapter 423 - 423: The Frenzy
Chapter 423 – 423: The Frenzy
As she stepped close, a pair of enormous wooden doors that rose to almost twelve feet above her became visible. Luna reached out to touch its patterned surface with a frown. From its very bottom, the doors were intricately carved with strange patterns.
But what caught her eye was something else. Two nine-pointed crystal stars were inlaid into either wooden surfaces, jutting out of the doors to stand out from the rest of the patterns on them. Even in the foggy air, the stars sparkled in a bright red shade, reflecting on her pale hands that were now placed on them.
The stones were too cold to the touch, making her fingertips grow numb with every second she pressed against it. The goddess narrowed her eyes at the stones, the frown on her face deepening. She knew that these were no ordinary stones. And that's what made their existence in such a place quite worrying.
'Master, are these..?' the Dam Sehlah asked, all of its earlier excitement dying down in the blink of an eye.
"Demon stones, yes." She said with a nod.
Demon stones were named so because of their affiliation with demons. They were quite rare on earth, but nonetheless powerful beyond imagination. When used under the right circumstances, it could summon the higher-order demons from the Demon Realms.
Unlike wraiths, they were harder to control, and hence, anyone with sense, even those who practiced the dark arts, stayed away from them. The presence of dark magic on the Island was strange, but that of the demon stones was alarming. What were they doing here? She wondered, retracting her hands from the magical objects.
As soon as she took her hands off from the crystals, the doors fell open without a slight hiss, allowing a small gap between them, the size of her pinkie. With the doors ajar, she could now hear a few sounds coming from inside- sounds that made the blood rush to her face with embarrassment.
'Master… this…' The Dam Sehlah trailed off, sounding awestruck from the sight that was visible through the narrow opening.
Inside the huge mud walls was a spacious room with a long carpet leading to a one-step podium towards the farthest end. Her eyes scanned through the squirming bodies on either side of the walkway. Werewolves of all ages and sizes were writhing in pleasure, their bodies shifting back and forth between their human and animal forms.
She watched as a female wolf, her body half transformed, thrust herself onto a man who was chained to the wall, his cries of pleasure getting subdued by her roar of excitement. He was not the only one to be chained. Many more humans, male and female, were chained to the walls, their limbs stretched out towards all four sides to make way for the crazed wolves.
The humans seem to be in some sort of drug-induced delirium as the wolves thrust in and onto them in a lustful frenzy. Her heartbeat rose as she watched them pounce on each other. It was obvious that there were more wolves in the building than humans.
The werewolves took turns taking their fill of the humans and their blood. Bite spots covered those chained people, from the tip of their ankles, riding all the way towards the farthest corner between their legs, leading up their stomachs to their panting chests.
"Aaangh! Harder!" A man cried out as a female wolf grabbed onto his hips, pushing him inside her roughly.
The woman laughed at him, her fangs protruding from her mouth. In the next moment, she buried her face in his neck, the scent of his blood rising in the hot air inside the room, getting mixed with thousand other smells. The man screamed in pleasure, shuddering as the werewolf venom rushed into his bloodstream.
The woman withdrew her fangs, only to push his hips away and slam him into her once again, this time much harder than the last. But except for the goddess, no one watched the intimate exchange. Those impatient to take their turns resorted to helping each other out during the wait, sharing their bodies with as many as they could take before their fangs tore into each other's necks in raw hunger.
Luna felt like she had somehow managed to stumble into a mad orgy. It didn't make sense. Werewolves were supposed to be possessive creatures who wouldn't let another even come near their mate. There had to be at least a few of them in there who were mated. Yet, it didn't show.
There were no fights or brawls inside the building- no glares or growls of possessive irritation- just screams of pleasure echoing back from the high ceilings of the structure. The stench of dark magic hung thick in the air, emanating from their bodies and circling the room before fusing with the magic of the Demon Stones.
Thankfully, all of them were too distracted to notice her presence. She could feel the change in temperature as the side of her face that was pressed against the gap in the door warmer than the rest of her body that was freezing from the temperature outside, that was falling with every passing second.
The goddess rubbed her hands together, putting them against the narrow crevice in an effort to keep warm. She didn't know what was going inside, but one thing that she was sure of was that it had something to do with the sudden drop in temperature on the Island.
Not that she had time to meddle in their business, but she needed to make sure that the body in which the soul shard grew was not tainted by their filthy hands, she thought, her brows scrunching in irritation at the thought of the Sun God being exposed to the darkness that surrounded this particular pack.
'Master, look.' The Dam Sehlah's voice echoed in her head, drawing her attention away from the writhing bodies.
"What?" Luna asked, her voice barely a whisper in the cold, dense air.
The stone made a noise that sounded almost like a sigh. 'The markings.' It said, pointing her towards the engravings on the mud-packed surfaces.
The goddess narrowed her eyes at the floor, straining to see beyond the intertwined limbs of the many half-shifted wolves. The stone was right. There were what looked like some sort of spells engraved on the floor concentrated towards the carpeted path in between, and thickening towards the podium at the far end of the room.
The patterns looked similar to those carved on the doors. Luna pressed her face against the gap in an effort to see better. There was no doubt that the engravings had something to do with this madness. But the wolves didn't look like they were under a spell of any sort.
So whatever was happening inside was voluntary- maybe except for the humans who were helplessly chained to the walls. The drained bodies lying in the cellar flashed in her mind. The goddess sighed. What kind of place had she walked into? She wondered, her eyes narrowing at the raised platform.
That was when she realized that it was not a podium at all, but a pool of some sort. She could see the women that she had met earlier in the alpha's room already inside, resting their shoulders against the marbled border of the water body, putting their wet bodies for display for the man who was now wading towards them with a playful smile on his mouth.
