Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 28: Home sweet home!

Chapter 28: Home sweet home!

With his raincoat already put on, Shane stepped through the Dimensional Portal after paying two silver coins to activate it.

Selecting the Soul-Onyx-Jungle, both of them emerged within the BlackSoul shelter only a second later.

Seeing that it raining heavily, Shane sighed but it was still something advantageous to cover his scent even though he didn’t like the rain soaking his clothes.

Fortunately, it wasn’t cold and rather warm inside the Soul-Onyx-Jungle.

Looking around, Shane couldn’t see many people.

The only people walking around were either guards or hunters at the end of their 20s which was considered old for someone inside the Basic Primordial Dimensions.

At least if they aspired to reach higher realms.

If these young people at the end of their 20s didn’t have a bad mana purity and were taking missions to meet the requirement to receive higher purity manuals, Shane wasn’t sure what they were doing here except wasting their time.

Normally one would advance to the Master stage before they were 25 years old because staying there longer would be a waste of time.

As such, older Cultivators were either unable to accomplish their missions to receive higher cultivation manuals or they just didn’t want to enter the higher Primordial Dimensions because it was extremely dangerous.

Once they advance in age, they would break into the Master stage in order to remain young and increase their lifespans by 150 years.

It would be somewhat difficult to improve one’s cultivation stage further without entering the Intermediate Dimensions but it was still possible, even if it would take 100 years or longer, it would still be feasible.

But it was still slightly astonishing to see that the Soul-Onyx-Jungle Dimension was still so scarce inhabited after the Corvi race bought all kinds of transmutation objects and herbs in order to change the mana within other planets during their conquest.

Shane thought that a vast number of humans would search for Nightshade flowers and similar herbs to gain a fortune but he was surprised to see so few.

Maybe they would come later, or human merchants tried to lessen the publicity of this news in order to gain more by purchasing transmuting objects and herbs for a cheaper price, before selling them once again to the Corvi race.

But even if that was the case, Shane wouldn’t know either way and it was definitely a good sign that he had the Shadow-snake valley for himself.

This meant Shane had more Nightshade flowers and even shadow-snake corpses for himself.

Since he bought a shop, he wouldn’t waste his spatial storage by using it to store corpses.

Rather than that, the shop’s vacancies would store everything for him and Shane left the shelter with the sun disappearing, leaving a dark dimension with beautiful radiating moonlight alone.

It wasn’t completely dark yet, but before Shane left the safe radius of the BlackSoul shelter, he gulped down his first concealment and nightsight potion.

With his stockpiled potions, he was able to conceal himself for 18 hours while the same applied for his nightsight.

These 18 hours would have to be more than enough for him to gather a vast amount of Nightshade flowers and Shane was expecting how everything would go out.

Entering the forest roughly at the same position he entered more than five days ago, Shane was forced to open a way through the thick bushed and lush grass, as the surrounding mana allowed plants to completely regrow within a few days.

This caused Shane to use his memory to search for the Shadow-snake valley which was quite difficult because the Soul-Onyx-Jungle didn’t have many distinct features.

It still took him 30 minutes to reach the top of the valley within the heavy rain and a faint smile emerged on his face, as he took a glance at his sheathed weapons, before Umbra transmitted him a weird thought.

‘He wants to kill a certain Shadow-python? Why?’ Shane was taken aback because he thought Umbra would hate it to kill his brethren but apparently, that wasn’t the case.

Rather than that, Umbra seemed to hate and loath his brethren extremely and his loyalty to Shane was much more compared to the loyalty Umbra had to his own race.

After that, a picture was transmitted into his mind and Shane could roughly understand the situation.

Apparently, Umbra’s parents were killed because they entered the main Nightshade field in order to pluck two Nightshade flowers for their own small field to generate enough darkness mana after it was born.

This seemed to be a common occurrence and the Shadow-python’s and snakes within the main field seemed to slaughter their own brethren because of that.

Leaving alone a small shadow-snake hatchling, another shadow-snake began to occupy their hideout and Umbra couldn’t do anything to drive it away.

It was only when Shane came, that the shadow-snake that occupied its hide was killed and he was taken with him, that Umbra could forget the agony slightly.

Finally back inside the Shadow-valley, Umbra wanted to take revenge for his parents and Shane would support it with that, if possible.

Due to the amplified affinity, Umbra could barely fight 3rd Wild stage beasts in addition to its quality and Shane was confident in letting Umbra overwhelm 3rd Wild Shadow-snakes.

Adding his own combat prowess, Shadow-pythons below the peak-Wild and Elite stage should have no chance against them.

Even if they were faster than them, Shane had five prismarine-luminous crystals he could use.

The slightest light was harmful to them and activating the prismarine-luminous crystal with a decent amount of mana, without overclocking would be enough to distract them for a short moment.

Descending slowly into the Shadow-snake valley, Shane looked around carefully while his steps were much firmer compared to five days ago.

As such they reached the lower areas of the valley within 20 minutes and there were still [2h:10m] left on his first potion, causing Shane to smile brightly.

He still hadn’t seen any Shadow-snakes but Umbra notified him that there were already a few of them ahead, because it could tell from distinct marks while Shane only saw the first Nightshade flowers erecting out of the mud.

Over the last five days, Shane’s combat strength hadn’t increased by much but his mana control and the amount of mana he could use increased, while his real combat experience increased by a lot.

As such his combat prowess was much higher than before and Shane was already resolute in killing beasts which he would have never thought in his past life.

Comparing his new life with the old life on earth, there was much more tension and slaughter in his new life, but if he was honest, the Primordial Dimensions awoke some kind of adventurer spirit within him and the desire to get stronger.

His death on earth was a shame but it brought him to Igra at a decent time and Shane couldn’t complain much about it even though his father was still difficult to comprehend for him.

‘Is he searching for me? Enraged? Worried? Or does he even know that I escaped?’ Shane couldn’t answer it but comparing this situation to his old life, where he was adopted by an abusive family, not much changed considering that his childhood was not the best on earth either.

On Igra his father was rich but he still forced him to do things Shane didn’t want to and when he turned 16 he should have met his fiancee but rather than that, he wanted to live his own life.

Doing whatever he wanted to do not what others expected him to do.

Being stronger would be much easier with his father’s help but what price would he have to pay in exchange for his support?

Shane would rather endure some hardship instead of following the path his father opened him.
