Chapter 1467 - You have to compensate me now.
Chapter 1467: You have to compensate me now.
Ji Ziming stuck closer to her as he narrowed his dark eyes on her. His lips turned up into a wry smile. “Pei Ge, are you challenging me?”
The woman’s pink lips parted open as she spoke. “It’s obviously your fault. You’re sticking so close to me now. Be careful of me overturning your office.”
“As long as you are happy.” He released her and with a shuu, she fell onto the ground.
“You!” she yelped in anger. The pain on her butt made her wake up and recall that this guy before her used to be cold and aloof. He was a CEO who only had a cold face like an iceberg.
“What about me?” The man narrowed his eyes at the woman, who was still on the floor. “You like this floor? I’ll give it to you for 20,000 yuan.”
“You’re doing your business all the way to my side? I am here to work. Y-You… had better not do something that will cause me to leave the company.”
“My elevator requires my fingerprint to work. Otherwise, feel free to walk down by yourself.”
“What?”
She thought for a bit. This was the top floor. Counting, there were more than seventy floors in this building. She would likely lose half her life before she even reached the ground.
She got up from the floor, glaring at him with her beautiful, moist, and round eyes, and raised her voice. “You’re so awful!”
The man merely resumed flipping through the document, not caring that she was badmouthing him. He pointed his finger at the sofa opposite him. “I’m working. You can sit there and read some documents to familiarize yourself with the company’s important matters for now. Come ask me if you have any questions.”
“Not going to do that.” She pouted and turned to look at the scenery outside the window.
“Are you sure?” His cold yet stern voice entered her ears and shot straight to her heart.
Her breath halted for a moment. “Fine, fine. I’ll look at the documents now.”
“Mhm.” The man lowered his head as his lips curled up into a wry and smug smile.
“Let me ask you something.” She held two documents.
“Speak.” Ji Ziming did not look up. His nod was masked by the crisp sound of him flipping through the documents.
“Is the spider plant outside the same one I had in the company many years back?”
The man suddenly found that he could not focus on a word on the document. So this is what she wanted to talk about.
“No.” It’ll be bad if I tell her the truth.
“Is it really not?” She frowned, disbelief written all over her face. She got up and placed the documents on the sofa. “I’ll go see if it is. I remember making a mark on the bottom of my flower pot.”
Before she could take another step, she was pulled into his embrace. The sudden pull made her knock her forehead against his shoulder blade, and the pain coursed through her. “Why are your muscles this hard? It hurts. Wuu…”
“Does it still hurt?” Ji Ziming rubbed her forehead in fluster and concern. “Don’t go look at it anymore. I admit that it is.”
“You admit it? Then, why did you lie to me moments ago?” With a bright smile on her face, she looked at him as though he were a child who had committed a naughty act. She then smugly continued. “Actually, there’s no mark at the bottom of my flower pot. Who would be so bored to do that? It’s something only a person with so much time will do. You’re so strict back then, so how would I have the time to do—”
She immediately shut her mouth when she felt the cold air the man hugging her was emitting.
At this moment, her life was more important.
“Did you just say that you were lying?” The man narrowed his eyes at her as his gaze became a little sly. “Woman, don’t you know what price you have to pay for tricking me?”
“What price?” Pei Ge quickly escaped from his arms. This is his office. While this may be the top floor and there are no other employees, he still won’t do that thing between a man and woman with me here, right?
Seeing through her thoughts, Ji Ziming’s lips curved up slightly as he curled his fingers at her. “Come here.”
“I’m not going over. What if you do something to me?” She went to the door and clung onto the metal pole near it.
Alas, the reality was that it was not her choice whether to go over or not as she was soon sandwiched between the man and the wall.
“Is there some meaning to this kabedon?” Sheepish, she turned to look elsewhere, pretending to be unaffected by the man’s handsome features.
“Then, do you think it’s meaningless?” His sexy lips parted slightly as his eyes held only her.
“What meaning could there be? You’re the big boss—my superior—and I’m merely a small subordinate. You… Why bother getting even with me over this?” She was indignant. He was clearly this mighty and cold, yet when he smiled, he looked like a little devil and was also this suave. She was clearly already over the phase of one-sided love, but her heart was still in shambles from his flirting.
“I’m your superior? Then, you’re not a simple person, too, seeing as you lied to the boss.” He revealed a cajoling smile, his breath and scent encompassing her senses.
“Alright, alright. I’ll admit my fault. I shouldn’t have lied to you about marking the bottom of the pot, but you also lied to me, so we’re even. Is that fine?” She thought of a solution for the both of them. Alas, the man did not take it.
“What if I say no?”
“Why are you so annoying?” She turned to look at the cold-faced man. Her clear eyes enabled him to see his reflection in them.
Looking deeply into her eyes, his gaze slowly traveled south to her pink and moist lips. His mouth curled upward further. “You lied to me first, so you must compensate me now.”
“I? I compensate you?”
Are you serious? You clearly refused to admit that spider plant is mine first. Now, through your words, it’s become my fault! You even want me to compensate you… This isn’t how you reason with someone!
“Yes.” His eyes dimmed as his gaze on her lips became more dazed. The lips that kept parting and closing attracted all of his sight.
“I don’t want to. It’s clearly—” Before she could finish speaking, her lips were sealed by the man.
He domineeringly and greedily sucked and explored the inside of her mouth. From her tough teeth to her soft tongue, the deep kiss lasted until she was almost out of breath.
“Mhm. Now, we’re even.” He released her and, as though nothing had just happened, strode back to the sofa.
