Chapter 1659 - Mommy, daddy, what are you guys doing?
Chapter 1659: Mommy, daddy, what are you guys doing?
What she did not know was that, on the other end, Qin Qitong was laughing as she swatted away the hand of the man who was about to lean his whole body on her.
“Don’t worry. You have a cousin and I have this guy here. With him by my side, nothing can happen to me.”
Qin Qitong giggled, thinking that she should hurry and hang up the call with Pei Ge. Handling this guy next to her was more important.
Just as she was about to suggest hanging up the call, she heard a shriek from the other end.
Ji Ziming had carefully tiptoed behind the woman and hugged her thin waist without warning. The light in his eyes was like an immensely wide net as it stuck to Pei Ge. As long as she turned around, she would be able to see him listening in on her call with a cold look.
“What are you doing! You surprised me.”
She covered the mouthpiece and softly chided the man. Her beautiful eyes met his doting ones. After chiding him, she noticed his gaze and hurriedly changed her tone. “I’ll be done soon. Wait for me upstairs.”
“No. I want to wait here for you.”
Ji Ziming immediately rejected her suggestion. He would be wherever she was.
“Be obedient. Go back to the room to wait for me. I’ll be up soon.”
She smiled helplessly. Her gaze seemed to be dipped in honey as she regarded him.
On the other end, Qin Qitong heard her soft chiding very clearly. Thinking that with Bi Zheng was still bothering her now, she decided to say softly, “Ge Ge, let’s stop here for today. We can resume our talk once I get back.”
“Okay, I’ll wait for you.”
After she hung up the call, Pei Ge was immediately carried by Ji Ziming. While she was still in a daze, the man had already carried her up to the second floor.
“Since your call has ended, then it’s time for you to make a call with me.”
“Who wants to be on a call with you? Hurry and let me down.”
Pei Ge’s flailed her limbs about yet was afraid that she would fall. Still, with her trust in him, a deep part in her heart was actually enjoying his possessive action.
“Don’t move around. Otherwise, I might drop you by accident.”
When Ji Ziming moved as though he was about to throw her down, Pei Ge hurriedly grabbed onto his clothes. It would be unthinkable if she really fell.
“You’re lying. If you dare to drop me, I won’t ever bother about you anymore.”
She refused to believe him. She looked at him with endearing, moist eyes. This was her secret weapon and was a sure-kill move toward him.
“Fine. Then, I will see what can make you bother about me.”
His lips curled upward as he carried her easily and opened the door to their room. At this moment, the three children also opened the door beside their parents and stared at them unblinkingly and innocently.
“Mommy, daddy, what are you guys doing?”
D*mn it! Ji Ziming cursed inside, feeling vexed. His expression remained stoic as he answered, “Your mommy’s leg is injured. Daddy is sending her back to rest in the room.”
“What?!”
The three children were rarely this united as they all ran forward. Little Ji Chi was the fastest among them.
“Where is mommy hurt? Hurry and let me see!” shrieked Ran Ran, thinking that if her mommy could never walk again, who would make flower baskets with her?
“Where?”
Little Ji Chi reached out his chubby hand and rubbed his mother’s legs yet did not find anywhere which was swollen.
Only An An stood behind his siblings and looked at his father, then at his mother being carried in his father’s arms, seeming to have realized something.
He walked up and pulled his siblings away. “Hey, you two, don’t worry. Daddy will cure mommy of her injuries.”
Although the boy could not understand the troubled and hopeless look his father regarded his mother with, he had a gut feeling that the man did not want them three here. In fact, he did not want the triplets to see them.
“But mommy is injured.”
The girl stubbornly insisted when she did not find where her mother was hurt, wanting to find it no matter what.
“I also can’t find it. Sis, look at mommy’s other leg.”
Ji Chi remained unmoved. He refused to leave without finding the injury.
He found it extremely scary that she was hurt but they could not find her injury.
The person who truly found it scary was the man. He helplessly carried the woman while standing before their room door, looking at the two children, who were each inspecting one leg to look for their mother’s ‘injury’. He felt a headache coming on.
He, who had never regretted any of his actions before, regretted it this instant. Why did he have to choose such a reason to fool his children? He clearly knew how much they cherished their mother more than him.
“Alright, alright. Don’t continue looking. Listen to your big brother; I will cure your mommy.”
Ji Ziming’s dark eyes turned dim as he looked at the woman, who was hiding a smile with twinkling eyes, in his arms.
“Then, you must properly take care of mommy.”
Ran Ran glanced at her father, then at her mother, and turned around to look at her big brother, who was standing behind them. She thought that if there really was a wound, her father should be able to take care of it.
“Don’t worry.”
The man sighed in relief after finally convincing this witty lass.
“Ji Chi, you should follow your big brother and little sister back to play in your room.”
Seeing that his second son was still adamantly refusing to let this matter rest, he could only reveal a serious and stern expression.
“B-But daddy…”
The boy stuttered. How could he leave his mother to his father without worrying? Still, he felt helpless because he could not find her injury. Seeing his sister taking a few steps away, he could only leave with dissatisfaction, too.
“Mommy is fine. Daddy lied to you guys.”
Pei Ge could not resist when she saw how aggrieved the three children looked and felt her heart ache.
“Then, why did daddy carry you up?”
The girl cocked her head. The innocence in her eyes made her mother speechless.
“That’s because… your daddy said that he wanted to exercise a bit, so he decided to carry me up.”
The consequence of her saying this was that the three children urged their father to carry them up from the first floor to the second floor one by one without stopping to rest. Of course, it needed not be mentioned how much the children enjoyed this experience.
