Chapter 689
Chapter 689
-Baler?
-This person is?
-Is this the one driving the fog?
-What is this NPC?
-It is frustrating to not know anything.
– It isn’t just us who don’t know. They all don’t know. We don’t know what enters the livestream. Only Alley Leader knows. Lol ㅋㅋ.
-He alone knows it.
Viewers were surprised when they saw that Hyeonu seemed to know the unfamiliar voice. They wondered about how there was nothing he didn’t know. What types of things were he doing that they didn’t know about when the livestream wasn’t turned on?
‘Why is Baler already here?’
Hyeonu didn’t know the viewers’ thoughts and had a complicated mind. Baler shouldn’t have appeared here already.
‘Can the information spread so quickly?’
Up to Tendmul was the city he agreed upon with Baler. At the very least, he shouldn’t have appeared before Alfore had fallen.
“Why aren’t you answering? I asked if you have any intention of keeping your promise.” The voice once again came from the fog. This time, it was heavier than before.
‘What can I say?’
Hyeonu kept his mouth shut and didn’t answer. He agonized over it instead of talking. He had to say something to smooth over this situation.
-What is happening?
-Promise?
-Try to say something refreshing.
-This is too frustrating.
Viewers still had questions. It was natural since Hyeonu, the only one who knew the situation, kept his mouth shut.
“A promise? Was there something like that?”
“By the way, who is in the middle of the fog that is making the demons and demonic creatures act like this?”
“I don’t know. How can I know?”
It wasn’t only the viewers, but also the rankers. They didn’t know about Baler, the owner of the voice coming from the fog. As Hyeonu consistently stayed silent, the huge shadow in the fog started to move.
Thump! Thump!
The ground shook like there was an earthquake. The rankers instinctively stepped back. They couldn’t even estimate how big the monster in the fog was. Then the identity of the shadow was revealed. The width was as wide as its large size and it was soon seen outside the fog.
“What the hell is this?”
“Why is it so big?”
The rankers were shocked to see a monster of a size they were seeing for the first time. It was a huge figure they had never seen before.
“A tortoise?”
Even the shape was amazing. A thick, smooth, hard, and firm looking shell. Additionally, the thick legs that supported the huge size. It was obviously a tortoise to anyone who saw it.
An individual fell from the giant tortoise, the highest great demonic creature, Teramas. It was a giant who was over two meters tall.
The number one demon king of the demon world, Baler.
“I will ask you a final time. Are you breaking your promise?”
His face was tinged with anger. It was because the promise between Hyeonu and Baler was completely different from Hyeonu’s current behavior.
“Promise… was there something like that?”
An answer was finally received after Baler asked the question for the third time, but the one who answered it was the emperor, not Hyeonu. It wasn’t known when he had moved, but the emperor was standing behind Hyeonu with his unique bored look.
“What did you say just now? This is the first time I’m hearing about it.”
The emperor cocked his head. It seemed like it was the first time he had heard about a promise.
‘In a way, he is a great man.’ Hyeonu almost burst out laughing as he looked at the emperor. The situation was serious, but this didn’t stop Hyeonu’s mouth from curving up in a smile.
‘He wants to fight Baler.’
The emperor was currently provoking Baler. He was trying to provoke Baler’s temper to start a fight.
‘That is what this war is for anyway.’
It was the biggest reason why the emperor went to war with the demon world, thus it was something that Hyeonu understood.
“What does that mean? This is the first time you’re hearing about it? Gang Hyeonu, that guy…”
The moment he heard the emperor’s words, Baler glared at Hyeonu. He wasn’t an idiot. He knew that the emperor’s words were lies. Even so, he couldn’t point it out. It was a dumb thing to do. He would rather hold someone accountable. Why did he come here anyway? It was to show bitterness to the human who broke the agreement.
‘So far, they have done very well. So I won’t kill them all.’
Hyeonu and the other players did their part well. In return, he didn’t intend to wipe them all out.
“Who would dare to raise their voice in front of me?”
Just then, the emperor lit a fire in Baler’s heart.
“What? What did you say just now?” Baler yelled as he shifted his gaze from Hyeonu back to the emperor.
“Are you old and deaf? It is so loud, yet you can’t hear it.”
The emperor had no scruples. He spoke insulting remarks toward Baler. It was natural behavior. The purpose of the emperor was to fight Baler directly. Disturbing Baler’s composure was just the beginning.
“This human dares to act like this to Baler, the number one demon king in the demon world!”
Baler couldn’t withstand his anger and yelled at the emperor again. He was said to have a deep heart among the demon kings, but in the end, he was a demon after all. His personality was belligerent and he was unable to withstand insults.
“Demon king?”
“Did he say demon king just now?”
“Crazy. What’s wrong with this quest?”
The rankers opened their mouths after hearing Baler’s cry. It was a demon king, not a noble. A demon king was a monster that couldn’t be killed even if all the rankers gathered here joined forces. They couldn’t help being surprised that such a demon king appeared.
-Is the emperor going to kill him?
-There is Lebron. Why wouldn’t they kill him?
-The emperor fought two demon kings by himself, right?
-To be precise, Alley Leader held out against one demon king. During that time, the emperor killed one demon king and almost killed the other.
Viewers were surprised at Baler’s identity, but once they saw his name and appearance, they felt that Baler was familiar.
-Ah, I think he was familiar. Is it Baler? He picked up the demon king at the time.
-Ah, right. That’s right. I also remember.
The viewers finally remembered where they had seen Baler.
‘There are many people. They actually remember this.’
Hyeonu admired the memory of the viewers, while being unable to take his eyes off the emperor and Baler.
‘Baler can’t die here…’
Hyeonu personally hoped that the emperor and Baler wouldn’t fight. Even without Baler, there were still many demon kings left.
‘It definitely isn’t because I won’t receive the rewards for the quest…’
Of course, at the base of such a wish was the fact that the quest he received from Baler was still in progress. The argument between Baler and the emperor didn’t last long. A purple sphere suddenly flew from somewhere toward the emperor and Baler. There was a huge roar and the whole earth shook. The dust that rose was so thick he couldn’t see in front of him.
‘What is this now?’
Hyeonu was flustered by the continuously unpredictable situation, but it was only temporary. Hyeonu waved his arms to clear the dust that was blocking his view. As his hand moved, a strong wind started to blow back and forth.
-Ah, I can see a little bit now.
-What? Who else came out?
-Yes, there are three forms, not two.
-Is 1+1 = 3?
-Go to another livestream for such bad jokes.
‘There are really three.’
It was as the viewers said. Three figures were seen in the scattering dust.
‘One is the emperor and one is Baler. Then who is the last one?’
Hyeonu stared intently so he could figure out the unknown person. The dust became lighter and the appearance of the third person started to be clearly seen. Soon, the dust completely subsided and the three figures were seen in Hyeonu’s vision.
“Galiya!” Hyeonu exclaimed when he confirmed the identity of the newly appeared person.
It was Galiya. The demon king who had been driven to the brink of death by the emperor had reappeared.
“The trash has appeared again. Haven’t you figured out who you are facing yet?”
The emperor was derisive toward Galiya. He already knew enough about Galiya’s abilities. It was a strength that could never reach the emperor.
‘It is even better with the help of those guys.’
“Marquis, will you handle him? No. This time, there is a better helper. Duke Lebron! There is a pretty good opponent for a warm up. Why don’t you come quickly?”
The emperor’s provocation was dramatic, but Galiya didn’t show much of a response. He was obviously different from before when he rushed forward in agitation.
‘Did he change due to the death crisis?’
Hyeonu felt something strange when he saw such a change in Galiya. However, it was the feeling of Hyeonu alone.
“If you don’t come… I will have fun alone.”
The emperor wasn’t concerned at all.
“Your Majesty, something is strange. I know there will be personality changes on the verge of death, but… he can’t change that perfectly,” Hyeonu expressed what he felt to the emperor.
“I know. Even so, it doesn’t change anything. He will kneel in front of me. Just like back then.” The emperor smiled at Hyeonu.
‘He is serious.’
Hyeonu felt that the words were sincere when he saw the emperor’s eyes. He was also speechless in such of such a domineering spirit. Rather, he felt pity for Galiya. Galiya would beg for his life again in front of the emperor.
“Kill… and feed me. Human,” Galiya murmured in a small voice. However, this voice clearly entered the ears of the emperor, as well as Baler and Hyeonu.
“Ho… Have you let go? You have become a beast.” The emperor didn’t show any emotional agitation at Galiya’s words. He just smiled terribly when he saw Galiya.
‘By the way, just now… didn’t a purple sphere fly?’ Hyeonu suddenly remembered what happened before. A purple sphere flew and exploded like a bomb.
‘As far as I know, Galiya originally had black magic power…’
Purple magic power was Hyeonu’s attribute. Someone else who had it was Callioraks, the only dragon in the demon world, who had presented Hyeonu with the chaos attribute.
‘How did that jerk get the chaos attribute?’
The color of magic power varied depending on the attributes. Naturally, purple was the chaos attribute.
“I finally found him. This rat.”
It happened at this moment. Someone else appeared at the scene. Once again, it was a face that Hyeonu knew. No, only Hyeonu knew this face.
“Callioraks…!” Hyeonu exclaimed when he saw the purple-haired person appear so naturally that no one noticed.
“Oh, how have you been? You seem a bit better than before, but… there is still a long way to go,” Callioraks greeted Hyeonu happily after noticing him. He was very relaxed, like he was excluded from this situation. “Thanks to you, I found him well. It took a long time, but I finally found him like this.”
“You found him…?’
At Hyeonu’s question, Callioraks pointed at Galiya. “This guy… I was looking for him.”
