Chapter 1539: Plans
Chapter 1539: Plans
"I don't care. We have already took the steps. There is no point in bothering about the spilled milk. Anyway, we also made a deal with the Divine league, so they are going to help with our faith.
Even if they cannot they can be the mediators with the gods."
"And you are basing that trust on what exactly? On Sivan being a good kid and asking them for help on behalf of the clan? Or the Divine league being generous enough to directly offer their help?"
The clan leader didn't have an answer for that and stayed silent.
"You idiot. If you are paying this much price, isn't it a basic sense to check if you are getting something of equal value?
And the worst part is, you didn't even factor in how much the Dusk organization is going to impact you with this.
You told Sivan that you will deal with the dusk organization and send the rest of the troops to the war. But this is not happening any time soon.
They are everywhere. All over our properties across the realms and we don't even know how to deal with them.
Just amazing."
"I don't know what to do. Can you just give me some advice and not berate me like this? I am already stressed."
She sighed after listening to his words and said.
"I am also frustrated as much as you. You brought all of this trouble onto the can. We are spreading ourselves way too thin here. We won't be able to deal with our current problems at this rate.
We need to make some deals to make it easy on ourselves."
"What do you suggest?"
"Blood Iron league. You have some contacts in the league right? We can ask them to deal with the dusk organization. Even if it is not possible for them to directly deal with the whole thing, you can at least ask them to take care of some of the properties and kill some of their members.
We cannot move too many powerful people around as they are prone to be watched and trapped, but Blood Iron league is an unexpected factor."
"But the relationship between us and the league is not a pleasant one at the moment. Butler Si who is quite reputable in the circle of Blood Iron league is missing for a few months now.
Nobody knows where he is and some even say that he is dead.
They also suffered quite a few losses at the hands of the Gaja clan. From then on, they didn't open a shop for anyone.
They are closed and locked."
"Try using your connections from the past. The connections you think didn't exist. You might think that your clan is all that. But we all know the Blood Iron league and Divine league takes the cream of the crop.
They just don't work with the organizations directly that is it.
You can even offer them territory in the form of payback. If the price is right enough even if you don't use the connections they will still work.
Do you understand?"
"Alright, I will try to contact the Blood Iron league. What else can we do?"
"Contact some of the organizations that are part of the alliance in dealing with the Gaja clan. Some organizations are in a really deep pickle.
The organizations currently don't know much about Sam and his connections with the Dusk organization and in turn the Dusk's connection with the current war.
Just paint them as some kind of new organization trying to spread their wings a bit by using the Mari clan's current precarious situation as a springboard.
After you paint them like that, offer the other organizations to help you deal with them. Offer them generous payback. You can lose some resource points. As long as they can bring back some lost property, you can even give away fifty percent of it."
"Alright."
The clan's head agreed readily. He didn't even doubt or question his wife's idea for a second. In fact, it could be said that the very reason he became the head of the clan is because of his wife.
He is not very smart in this kind of role that has too many political schemes and management duties.
He is good at battle strategies and battling himself, but he was not a suitable candidate to be the head of the clan until he married his wife that is.
She is the brains behind everything that needs a political scheme and a managerial position which he needs help with.
He is not ashamed to ask her things and she is not bothered with helping him.
She did it so many times before and she is doing it now also.
"You can contact the remaining two sects other than the Star eye sects that are involved in the whole alliance thing.
Since they are the main instigators, they are the ones that have too much to lose if the Gaja clan wins.
You can play it so that the Dusk organization is impacting your war with the Gaja clan and you need their help to win. They also lost a lot of properties because of the rest of the organizations and Gail's flexing his muscles in their territory.
I also heard that Gamin straight up demolished their morale as he beat up every grand elder he could find.
They are in a desperate time to find some people to lean on.
They need some wins to get their heads straight and get back into this game.
We are going to provide that assistance by offering some of the properties they are going to recover."
"Okay, I will do that."
"But that is not enough. Spread false info regarding the war. Don't make your meeting with the other sects secretive. Spread the rumors that they are helping you out to take care of Sam, not the Gaja clan itself."
"That would never fly. Why would they take care of the young man who played little part in the whole plan?"
"Just makeup stories. Exaggerate his contribution. Make it so that the sects are now taking revenge on Sam instead of the Gaja clan because of the losses they suffered.
You don't need it to be completely logical. You just need to spread the word and the people are going to bend the story in the most believable way they want.
If the story really works well, the Dusk organization will have to change its focus a bit against the sects. Do you understand where I am going with this?"
"So, you are not counting on Dusk organization being eliminated by them?"
"Like hell, it is going to happen. If they can really do that, we could have done it a long time ago. These assholes are going to be tough to kill and even tougher to catch.
So, we are just going to use these sects as bait and make the Dusk organization focus on them while we proceed with our own damage control and countermeasures. This will buy us some time."
"Alright."
The Clan's head immediately moved to give the instructions to his subordinates to get in touch with the people he needs to meet. He is also trying to contact the people he had that has connections to the Blood Iron League.
While the Mari clan is also getting into some deep troubles, back in the Gaja clan. Sam is working on the portable cannon he kept for himself.
He is drawing a series of inscriptions for hours as the battle outside went on. Soon, the Mari clan is out of their energy crackers. At least they didn't shoot. But the glider and Ambush team are gaining on them.
Out of the six shooters one of them is taken down along with the beast as he didn't shoot it from a proper range and took some aftershock effects from the explosion. That gave the chance for the Gliders to deal with him instantly.
Luckily, the gliders didn't manage to take the cannon away with them.
It just fell off far away from the battle because of an air cannon explosion.
Sam sent another shooter and a beast to take over the position while he worked on the cannon he has on hand to help them out.
The portable cannons that work on the core mechanism of the wolf puppets have one major quality.
They can modify the attacks and the energy within the attacks with the ripple style and void style.
They can be used for anything. So, Sam decided to use it with the cannon and modify it a bit to help out the shooters in dealing with the gliders.
After making the necessary modifications to the inscriptions, he took out a new muzzle attachment that he made an artisan create.
He attached that to the large sphere cannon's muzzle. Now the end of this muzzle is narrow and much smaller. It definitely doesn't work for a sphere.
After he was done with all of this, he stepped onto the city and held the cannon in his hands with a smile.
"This is going to be fun."
He muttered as he looked at the gliders and aimed at a specific spot.
