Chapter 215 - : Snatching Talismans Once Again
Chapter 215: Snatching Talismans Once Again
As soon as Chi Shuyan finished speaking, the atmosphere instantly turned silent.
Yu Jinzhou and Lu Yunfeng, who were originally ridiculing each other, almost went crazy when they heard this. Their legs turned to jelly, and the two tall, burly men had to hold on to the bed frame for support.
Xiao Le was so scared that he almost cried again. His face was paler than a dead man’s. “Sister-in-law, what… what are we going to do?”
When they recalled what happened last night, this was like simply telling them that they were going to die tomorrow, which was even more terrifying.
When they had breakfast that morning, the sight of the meat reminded them of the rotting corpse from last night, and none of them could eat another mouthful of rice. Even now, their hearts still pounded!
Compared with the deathly pale faces of the three, Qi Hao, Wang Xuewen, and the others really wanted the matter to blow up even more. They were particularly smug. “That’s good, that’s good. It’s good that the matter isn’t over. Then, can’t we still see that elusive rotting corpse?”
Chi Shuyan glanced at Qi Hai and Wang Xuewen. If she hadn’t seen these brats crying for their parents at the burial mound, she really would have thought that they had guts.
Lu Yunfeng, Yu Jinzhou and Xiao Le hurriedly said in unison, “Sister-in-law, right, can you sell us more of your talismans? It’s fine no matter how much they cost!”
Xiao Le was the only one who didn’t have much money, and his smile collapsed. However, he had made up his mind to spend everything he had on talismans. He was just afraid that his parents would think he had been duped and wouldn’t give him money. What then?
The more Xiao Le thought about it, the more worried and scared he became. “Sister-in-law, can I buy them on credit?”
It wasn’t Chi Shuyan’s intention to deliberately scare them into breaking down, and she said, “I can sell you a few talismans, as long as you don’t bring random people back in the future!”
“No more! No more! Not even if you kill me!” Yu Jinzhou and the others said in unison. This time, whoever dared to bring anyone back would be surrounded and beaten up.
In the end, Chi Shuyan gave them ten Thunder Light Talismans and three Guiding Lightning Talismans. The first one cost 30,000, and the second one cost a million each.
It had been a bit difficult for her to draw the Guiding Lightning Talisman before, but thanks to her fortune in following the Mystic Yin Arts, she had advanced to the next level this morning. Drawing the Guiding Lightning Talisman was now much simpler, so she was more generous and gave them to the boys.
The three immediately nodded and paid, afraid that Lu Chengfu’s sister-in-law would go back on her word if they were too late to pay.
Xiao Le also heaved a sigh of relief. He could still afford this price.
On the side, Qi Hao’s eyes were the sharpest. Seeing the Guiding Lightning Talisman which he had longed for day and night, he immediately snatched it from Yu Jinzhou’s hand.
Wang Xuewen naturally recognized the so-called Guiding Lightning Talisman. If he didn’t fight for it now, when would he be able to? He immediately joined the battle, and everybody fought over the talismans until their eyes went red.
Especially now that Lu Yunfeng and the others knew that these talismans were good stuff, they had to snatch them back even on pain of death!
In the end, Chi Shuyan stopped the battle and also gave Wang Xuewen, Qi Hao, and Jian Chongying one each before things calmed down.
But everybody looked at the talismans in each other’s hands with envy.
Seeing that they had stopped snatching talismans, Chi Shuyan pretended not to notice and was about to ask about Chen Yang in the hospital.
Lu Yunfeng beat her to it. “Sister-in-law, that kid, Chen Yang, was very lucky. He’s fine, but he’s seriously injured and one of his legs is crippled. He was probably stimulated too much last night. After waking up in the hospital today, he’s been delirious and crazy!”
Lu Yunfeng recalled how the corpse bugs had torn through Chen Yang’s body last night, and mourned for him. Even as he did so, however, he didn’t forget that Chen Yang was also the culprit.
