Chapter 378 - Preparing To Head To The Realm Of Gods Part 2
The Rural Kingdom…
"Your Majesty, I beg you to please reconsider! What have I done wrong!?" A human man stood in front of Tilia with his hand behind his back, acting arrogantly.
"What have you done wrong? When we raided your house, not only did you still have beastkin slaves, but most of them were abused and traumatized to the point that they did not even have a will of their own! Do you really think I, someone who is a beastkin themselves, will tolerate such actions when the new law says that every species is to be free!?" Tilia rose out of her seat. Her tail fluffed up as she took one step at a time towards the human man. Her cold eyes were bearing into the man's soul, causing him to secretly sweat as he tried to keep a calm attitude.
"So I am not free to treat my workers as I so fit? If they misbehave, I can not punish them!?" The human man argued back.
"Punish!? You call that punishment!? Punishment is firing them. But I can tell you right now that you never even paid those beastkin a single copper. Some of them were females who were pregnant with a half breed children in their wombs! This means you were doing more than just punishing some employees." Tilia's eyes glazed over as she reached out and took one of her guard's swords. "I have said it so many times that no one is to be treated unjustly under my rule. You can not sit here and think you will get away with it just because you are some small time noble. One who obviously thinks they are of a higher status than the I, the queen."
Once the man saw the sword and felt the blood lust coming off Tilia, the man knew he had overstepped his bounds. He thought this young girl was a pushover, but he seemed to have made a fatal mistake! Realizing he was about to die, the man quickly dropped to the ground, completely losing his earlier arrogant behavior, and pressed his head to the ground. "Your Majesty, I was wrong. I have seen the error of my ways."
"Oh, you have seen the errors of your ways!? What about those beastkin you tortured and did unspeakable acts to? Do you think they will have a second chance!? It is people like you tha…"
*Splat!*
"Tilia, you talk too much. For people like this, just kill them. Why waste your breath?" Kana, who had just appeared out of nowhere with a group of people, said with a smile. She raised her sword and flicked it to get the blood off it. "Keniil, are you able to imprison souls?"
"Your Holiness, it is indeed possible. I can make it so that their souls will endure unbearable pain for all eternity." Keniil quickly answered. He did not dare make Kana wait for an answer.
"Then I leave it to you." Kana said as she reached down and extended her own soul out to pluck out a small little soul from the man's head. She then shook it back and forth before tossing it to Keniil.
"Sister!" Tilia yelled out as she ran over and hugged Kana.
"You are still the same. Tilia, I know you wish to be a good leader, but for those who have committed the ultimate sins. Do not waste your breath. If they have committed heinous acts, just kill them. Talking to them like this will only make those around you think you are weak. As long as you treat your people with kindness and show them that you will not tolerate acts such as this by using the iron fist method of punishment, then you will not have to waste your time as much on these things, and people will be less likely to try to commit these kinds of acts in the future. Just don't act like a cold blooded murder." Kana knew she was not one to talk, but when it came to Tilia, who did not know of her own acts, she felt that it was okay to lie in such a situation.
But Kana firmly believed now that if one were to commit acts such as r*pe, torture, and other acts of cruelty then once caught, such people should just be killed. She saw no need to harbor these people in prisons unless they were part of a bigger case. And Tilia being Tilia, would act as if Kana's words were the words of god, or in this case, her words were the words of a goddess. "Mmm… I will do as Sister says. But Kana, why are you here and your hair…"
"I came here to say goodbye for the time being since I have already become the goddess of death hence why I look as I do now. And I have also come to have you form an alliance with the lich king of the Klipriron continent." Kana then turned and pointed to Keniil. "Keniil, here is what you could say is one of my faithful followers and has also helped me revive my mother. Mom, come say hi to Tilia."
"Hmm? What is it? I am busy playing with my granddaughter. " Lysairth was slightly annoyed. She was having fun getting Yana to do all kinds of cute poses. She didn't want to be interrupted.
"Mom, please…" Kana said pleadingly. Lysairth finally huffed and walked over. "Hmmm? Isn't this that human princess we met that day? So she turned into a beastkin as well, not bad, not bad."
Tilia looked at Kana who was calling this soul mom and then at the soul and remembered that Kana once told her about someone she recognized as her mom called Lysairth that was a soul bound to her. Tilia quickly put on a smile and bowed her head: "Sorry for the late introduction my name is Tilia Tigeria "
"It's nothing. " Lysairth looked at the young girl and rubbed her chin. "Do me a favor spin around and make a cat pose while saying, meow!"
