Chapter 391 - Building A Force
Chapter 391 - Building A Force
After saying her goodbyes to Dandan, Kana went home for the day to spend time with her babies and Creige. But on the other side of District 7, in a large estate many times the size of Kana's quaint little house. Gisel sat on her knees in front of Grandma Dawson.
"Do you understand what I have just told you?" Grandma Dawson gave Gisel the same lecture as she gave Heana and the other girls.
"Grandma, do I really have to eat these grieves? I understand that she is strong but isn't there a way we can get even with her? People will begin to look down at me at the academy if I do not stand up for myself. No one knows who she is, so if they hear that I was beaten by her, they will begin to scorn me, and I will lose all face!" Gisel felt so wronged. Why couldn't she just deal with the bitch like she dealt with so many before?
"Gisel, I know you will have it rough, but for the sake of the family, I can only tell you to swallow your grievances this once. I wish I didn't have to either, but that little girl is the ruler of District 7 even if she doesn't acknowledge it. If she says jump, we will need to jump. There is no other way about it." Grandma Dawson hated all of this as well, but she also had no choice.
"Wait, what if we don't do anything…" Gisel suddenly thought of something. "What if I put a word into that bitch from the Dong family from District 8? I know she loves handsome men, so if we send her a picture of that woman's husband… "
"This…" Grandma Dawnson thought for a moment. "Use our enemy as a knife in order to get rid of another one of our enemies. This idea is not bad. Gisel, for once, you have come up with a good idea. But… You must do everything through third parties. Do not let anything come from us directly."
"Humph! Didn't Heana get thrashed today? Why not use her as the instigator. I can just casually mention it to her and watch the show from the side." This was just how cold blooded Gisel was. She only cared about her family and not even her friends. If they could be used as tools, she would use them. This was how she was. She had no feelings for people not connected by blood.
"This is a good idea. We will do this. When Heana complains to you, just casually mention the young miss of the Dong family likes good looking men. Since we can't beat the goddess of death, we can at least trick her into doing some dirty work for us." Grandma Dawson liked this idea very much. Since long ago, she and the Dong family had not been on good terms. Now she could officially handle it.
Outside on a tree branch, a young fourteen to fifteen year old girl sat swinging her legs back and forth. "Kana asked me to follow this old lady just in case she tried to retaliate, and it seems like she was right. You want to use Kana as a knife to kill your enemy. Dream on!"
Aoi waved her hand, creating a pool of water in front of her. At the same time, a pool of water formed next to Kana, who was busy reading a book to the girls. "Aoi?"
"Kana, you were right. That old lady planned something alright. Well, more like her granddaughter came up with it. They want to use you as a knife to take out one of their enemies in District 8." Aoi explained.
"Hmmm… do they now… Aoi, take Naru with you and go investigate the Dong family. If their high gods are clean, we can work with them. How you find out is up to you. Just make sure they are not into anything like trafficking or senseless killing. Other than that, I could care less what they do as long as it does not affect my family." After the incident today, Kana decided it might be a good idea to pull in some allies. This was one of the reasons why she sent Aoi to take a look at the Dawson family. Although Gisel is an idiot, she would not mind making friends with the high gods, but if they were willing to go against her by using another family, then she did not want them.
"You are planning to build a force of your own?" Creige asked as he placed three small swords on the table next to Kana.
"Mmm… Unlike the mortal realm, where things are quite simple, the realm of gods is much different. Having a force as backup to live an easy life is a good thing. This way, when I finally go out and begin searching for new elementals and start leveling up again, I will be able to leave home knowing no high gods will take advantage of the situation. Because I know you can't always keep an eye on the girls when you are working. So I would rather have a force that is able to keep those kinds of people at bay." Kana explained.
"This is a good idea. But Kana, you have too little faith in me." Creige smiled as he leaned down and kissed her lips. "Your husband will not lose even if it was to a god king. Not now anyway."
Kana pursed her lips and looked at Creige being all mysterious. "Why are you not explaining?"
"You will see when the time comes." Creige gave a sly smile causing Kana to puff out her cheeks.
"No, fair, you can't just go and say something so interesting and not tell me!" She really wanted to know! She had never seen Creige being so mysterious like this!
Creige let out a laugh and raised his hand and pointed his index finger at the ceiling, a small black hole formed at the tip of his finger. It was very small but the things in the room began rattling and lifting up off the ground.
