Chapter 490 - The Great Calamity Begins Part 2
Kana was brought to one of the labs, where Trent took out the red rock with many small holes that had marks on it as if something large had been chewing on it. "This is the stone they brought back."
Kana held it in her hand and turned it over a few times. "Creation magic: X-ray…" As Kana looked through the stone using her x-ray spell, her face fell. Inside the stone was a large sack of insect eggs. At least a few thousand. She quickly used her newly created encapsulate spell and sealed the stone inside of it.
Her actions stunned Trent, and a sudden rush of fear welled up from deep inside him. Kana looked at him, her face full of anger as she yelled: "Has no one even checked this stone at all since it was brought in!? Do you not take any safety protocols when bringing things back from another world!?"
"This… I was bus…" Trent tried to explain but was ruthlessly cut off by kana, who slapped him in the face.
"Busy!? Are you fucking stupid!? How can you be too busy to make sure all items that come back are safe and won't destroy the damn world!?" Kana wished she could just burn this man up until he turned to ash! She never met someone so full of themselves that they would forget the most basic of things!
Kana turned to Dean Willaims. "You need a new head researcher because this man is going to be brought before the queen and held in prison until we know for sure that he has not released something onto this world that will end up destroying it."
"What!? Why!? How was I supposed to know there was something in it!?" Trent yelled out. He would not go down without a fight.
Kana's face turned red with anger as she grabbed Trent but the scruff of his shirt and yelled: "That is your damn job! Look into everything that gets brought in and make sure it will not harm anyone. But you failed to do something so simple. Your negligence is what may cause the world to be destroyed! I have friends and family on this planet, and I do not wish to see them die!"
"Miss Kana, I will need to ask you to take him to the Queen. As for this stone, what should we do with it?" Dean Williams asked, trying to diffuse some of her anger before she truly killed the man.
"Humph!" Kana snorted as she placed her hand on the stone that was encapsulated and injected some of her withering power into it, causing it to form a ring around the stone. But made enough space for whatever was inside to be able to crawl out. "I will bring it to my people to have them investigate it. With the eggs, we may be able to figure out a way to keep this planet safe."
"I will leave it to you then." Dean Williams looked at Trent and shook his head in disappointment. He never thought the man would end up causing such a major issue.

Rural Kingdom Throne Room…
"Kana, I am glad you are here. I just got word that the insectoid race that lives underground is acting strange. They are acting like mindless zombies." Tilia reported. When she heard the news, her face turned pale because this had all happened a few days ago.
Kana frowned and kicked Trent in the back of his knees to make him kneel. "When did that stone come in?"
"The same day, her majesty said the insectoid race was acting funny." Trent replied honestly. He knew it wasn't hard for her to find out the truth.
"Why is Trent here?" Tilia asked. She was confused as to why the lead researcher of Redleaf academy was now kneeling in her throne room.
"He is the cause of the mess we are about to be involved in. I suggest keeping him locked up in the dungeon for the time being. They had brought back a stone with chew marks on it from a magical realm. I investigated it, and it was filled with insect eggs. I will have my people look into it and see if we are able to find a way to kill them easily. But from the sounds of it, things are already beginning." Kana frowned. She knew things would not be so easy from this moment on.
"Then I will need to trouble you to help investigate these bugs as for the other problem… I will talk to Keniil and see if he can move his army to help patrol the continent. From this moment on, the Munas Continent will be ready to accept any and all refugees." Tilia had to keep things under control as much as possible. With the aid of the lich army, she hoped she could keep the people of the Munas continent safe.
"I will send this rock to my people now, and then I meet up with a few people and have them evacuate just in case. Tilia, I know you can't leave just yet, but when the time comes, whether you want to or not, I will bring you out of here." Kana knew Tilia could not leave as the ruler of her country, but this did not mean that Kana would not bring her out if things got too bad.
"Then I will need you to knock me out at that time." Tilia spoke firmly. She would need Kana to knock her out and drag her away if it came down to it. Otherwise, she would die with her country.
Kana smiled bitterly. "You have never changed your way of doing things. When you set your mind to something you put your entire being into it. I only hope this will not come at the cost of my sister's life. So I will do whatever I need to in order to pull you out. You can hate me for it later."
Tilia smiled and got up from her throne. She walked down to stand in front of Kana and hugged her. "Thank you for caring about me."
