Chapter 1442 Pirate Brawls
Chapter 1442 Pirate Brawls
The pirate island Rumgrave was set up into 3 large factions, that were under the 3 captains, and multiple smaller sections that were dealt with by any captain that wanted to take over it.
Ning and the rest made their way to find a place to stay in the section that was under Captain Stillwater. Her was the place closest to the dock, so they decided to stay in that place.
The city was truly a lawless land and they became aware of that by simply walking to their destinations.
The only thing one could see all over the city were taverns, bars, and prostitution houses with half-naked women standing by the door to lure in men during broad daylight.
Ning sighed as he walked through those places, while the three behind him were red in the face from seeing such promiscuous showing by all the women.
They could even hear the sounds coming from the buildings with no intention of any kind to keep their private matters private.
Brawls broke out openly with people fighting each other with swords or guns or sometimes even just broken beer bottles.
Big men with unkempt beards and hair walked around, stinking as though they hadn’t taken a bath in months, making their way past their groups, scaring the three.
One of the time, a man even came toward Jasmine after seeing her beautiful face.
“Young lass, you… HIC… you wanna go with me?” the man asked, completely drunk out of his mind. “Come with me… HIC… instead of staying with these… HIC… scrawny kids.”
“Move along, big man,” Ning said and tried to push past the drunken man. But before he could walk more than 2 steps, the man lunged at him, swinging his entire arm to hit him.
Ning sighed and ducked right before the man could hit him and put a foot out before him so he stumbled onto it and fell to the ground.
The man crashed loudly, but that was not enough to bring any sort of attention from the outside toward them.
Ning watched as the man quickly got up, his eyes blaring with anger as he turned toward Ning with the intention of killing him.
He pulled out a rather long knife from somewhere in his body and came for Ning with a stab.
Ning weaved through the man’s stab and appeared behind him, pushing him from the back.
The man stumbled a few meters away crashing into another man who was walking without looking at them.
“Get off me,” the drunk man pushed that man away and turned around toward Ning and the group. “You are dead.”
Ning turned toward Tim. “You wanna deal with him?” he asked.
Tim paused for a moment and turned to look at Ning. “What?” he asked.
“You… fight… him,” Ning said with a shrug. “Yes or no?”
“I can’t fight him. Look at how big he is,” Tim said.
“Yes,” Ning said, “but you have something that he doesn’t. A Zurin treasure. Don’t you wanna give your Jewelry box a try? I’m sure you’ve saved quite a lot of strength into it overnight.”
Tim looked at Ning and then at the man before turning to Ning. “Must I?” he asked.
Ning nodded. “This is the best opportunity to try out your skills,” he said just as he spun around and grabbed the man by the arm, who was about to stab him.
He simply pulled on that arm and made the man end up running further than he had intended to, crashing onto the wall of a building to the side.
“What do you say?” Ning spoke to Tim as though nothing had happened.
Tim looked at Ning and then at the man that got back up. He thought for a moment and nodded. “Alright, I’ll do it,” he said.
“Good,” Ning said and moved behind Tim, letting him stand before them all.
“Coward! Come fight me,” the man shouted as he turned around and saw Tim. “Do you wanna fight me too, you little shit?” “Please leave our group alone and we won’t hurt you,” Tim said.
“Too late, you little shits,” the man shouted and came for Tim.
Tim took a long and deep breath and activated the Zurin treasure that was attached to his body at the moment. As soon as he activated it, he could do everything the treasure allowed him to do at the same time.
Tim felt his mind become far sharper, seeing the man’s every step, knowing where he would step next and where his arms would be. He quickly took an estimate of the man’s higher, weight, and the force he would produce with the speed he was in.
Taking all that into account, Tim took out part of the weight he had placed into the box to temporarily make himself weigh heavier.
Then, he took out a bit of the strength right as the man arrived next to him. Instead of using the strength throughout a period of time, Tim chose to use it for just that one moment.
He moved his left leg, dodging just enough that the knife moved past his left shoulder. Then, he anchored his feet to the ground solidly thanks to the extra weight, and grabbed the man’s arms as he lifted him over his back.
The man lifted off the ground easily, and Tim slammed him onto the ground behind him.
The man fell to the ground with a large thud, loud enough that it caught quite a few eyes this time around. A scrawny young man like him, dealing with such a big man was a sight that people didn’t get to see every so often.
Tim deactivated the box and felt his mind grow slightly duller and his body grow light and weak at the same time.
He looked at the man before him who had been completely knocked out by the attack. He released the breath he had been holding, feeling proud of himself at the moment.
“Good job,” Ning said from the side and slapped his back. “You’ll make good use of what I gave you.”
