Chapter 1451 Captain of the Stillheart Pirates
Chapter 1451 Captain of the Stillheart Pirates
Ning and Tony arrived at the hotel, finding a different person at the front who only looked at them, but did not stop them.
They made their way up the stairs toward their penthouse, where one of the two pirates from before that was guarding the door seemed to have been changed.
Ning arrived outside their penthouse and was somewhat surprised to find the door completely open, with some sound coming from inside. He could hear someone speaking inside, a voice he did not know about before.
‘Who is that?’ he wondered. ‘Can’t be someone dangerous if my System didn’t notify me.’
He walked in.
Inside the room were Tim and Jasmine sitting on the couch, looking somewhat nervous while sitting opposite to them was a woman.
Behind the woman was the guy from downstairs who had registered them, the young girl who had brought them here, and two big men that Ning did not recognize.
They were all standing behind the couch where the woman sat. The woman herself was with dark skin, wearing golden jewelry throughout her body, hiding what her scantily clad clothes could not hide.
It would be a lie to call her gorgeous, but there was something about the woman that made Ning think she was prettier than she was. At the very least, it was not the many pieces of jewelry making him think that.
“I’m going to go out on a limb and assume you are Captain Stillwater,” Ning said as he walked in.
“You do not recognize me,” the woman said. “But you still name me correctly. Yes, I am Stillwater.”
Ning smiled and walked by Jasmine’s side, sitting down on the couch. “To what do I owe the pleasure of meeting Captain Stillwater?” he asked.
“You are the Captain of these two?” the woman asked. “The Zurin Killer pirate group.”
Ning found the name amusing, even though it was he who had written it. “Yes, I am their captain, in a way. We’re not pirates, so I’m more of a leader than a captain,” he said.
“You’re not a pirate?” the woman asked with narrowed eyes. “Then why have you come to Rumgrave? And why do I hear that your people have caused such a commotion?”
“Sir Ning,” Tim began speaking. “Something happened while we were—”
Ning put up his hands to stop Tim from speaking. “I know. I am aware,” he said. “Very soon, the entire city will know about it.”
Stillwater’s eyes didn’t change but a look of curiosity did flash through them. “You know what they did?” she asked. “So was it you who made them do it?”
“In a way, yes,” Ning said. “I gave them a small task, and they are on their way to complete it.”
“Then do you understand how big of a problem it is?” she asked.
“It cannot be very big of a problem for the infamous pirate captain Stillwater of the Stillheart pirates, right?” Ning asked.
“If it was just Silvereye, it wouldn’t have been a problem. He is more of a bug than anything. But I have come to learn that your men aren’t just targeting him or Hook. They are planning to target every single person that owns a treasure in this city. That is asking for death, you know?”
“You might have a small misconception about what they are doing,” Ning said. “Oh? And what are they doing?” Stillwater asked.
“Give me the book.”
Tim handed over the book as Ning asked him, and Ning quickly flipped through the pages, landing on where the hook’s information was.
He turned it around and let them all read it.
“This is what I am having them do. If they can get the others to place their treasures on this book, it will record what that treasure does,” Ning said.
Stillwater’s eyes were slightly widening as she read through the pages about the hook.
Ning watched her eyes dance over the page and quickly flipped toward the silver eyepatch.
Eyepatch of Dispel
Using this eyepatch, the user can purge away any effects originating from another treasure, either in a specific area or a specific person.
If used on an area, the effect on that area is simply dispelled.
If used on a person, the effect on them is not only dispelled but also any other effect can no longer be placed on that person. At the same time, either that person or the other people touching the person in effect, are unable to use their treasures at all.
Stillwater’s eyes widened when she read the last part. “So that’s why…” she said softly as she finally understood the reason behind some mysteries that she had been wondering for some time now. There was a reason why she hated Silvereye so much, and she finally understood why her treasures never worked around him. “Bastard was using his power on me,” she said softly.
Ning kept the book open, not taking it away, and spoke. “The task I gave them is to find such information from all the treasures in this city. That includes your treasures as well. Will you help them with their task to get the information from your treasure as well?”
“What?” Stillwater’s eyes moved up. “Absolutely not!”
Ning sighed. “Shame, they’ll have to find a way to get that information somehow within the next 2 days then,” he said.
“Is that… a threat?” the woman asked, the men behind her ready to move on her command.
“Threat? No, of course not,” Ning said with a small laughter in his voice. “I’m simply telling you what they will be doing the next two days. They have quite a lot riding on this task, and I fear that today’s shenanigans might have given one of them a bit of a confidence boost.”
“If you don’t plan on helping them, by simply giving them the information they want, then I suggest you hide yourself for the next 2 days,” Ning said. “Because believe it or not, they’re coming for your treasures, and there is not much you can do about it.”
