Chapter 1475 Birth
1475 Birth
Ning and the other 3 walked onto the submarine and sailed away, leaving behind the pirate island of Rumgrave.
Gunny, the shipyard’s watcher, had done a good job of not letting anyone come aboard after Ning and threatened him on the first day. Ie had not intended to help Ning, but after hearing what he had done, and what the rest of the people with him had done, the man had no choice.
He had to save his own hide after all.
After they left the place, the submarine went underwater, and Ning took the group through a slow voyage to their next destination.
There had been enough excitement the last 3 days, so he decided to give them some rest before taking them to their next adventure.
The group rested for a whole week, enjoying some uneventful days, while slowly coming to learn more about their treasures and how to use them.
A week later, Ning arrived on a remote location island, close to the coast of the Great Bairin, where mists were gathered all around the island.
“Is this where my glasses are?” Tim asked as he looked at the screen that showed the fog, “We will have to light a monster”
“Oh no, you don’t have to fight a monster here,” Ning said. “This is not where your glasses are. We actually have to go another 7 days in that direction to get to your glasses.”
“Then?” Tim asked. “Where are we?”
“Oh, you will find out soon, Ning said with a smile.
Tony and Jasmine quietly watched the screen. They had expected to have come for Tim’s glasses, but they too only just found out they had not.
They were curious but said nothing.
Ning waited for a while, letting the others silently wonder what had happened exactly.
“What are we even watching?” Tony asked. “I can’t see anything. It’s all mist out here.”
“Oh yes, Ning said. “But not for long. Keep watching”
“This is not just right outside the submarine, is it?” she asked. “There should be a gap because of our treasure if it was.’
“No, it is close to here,” Ning said. “We’re about 3 kilometers away from the place where this is happening. I’m showing this to you remotely.”
“How are you doing this?” Jasmine asked. “How can we
“Sshh!” Ning quickly shushed her and pointed to the screen.
Jasmine looked back at the screen, wondering what it was that Ning wanted to see her. After all, all she could see on the screen was mist.
However, all of a sudden, the mist began moving rapidly, all moving toward one location instead of away from
it.
“What’s going on?” Tony stood up to look at the situation. “What is happening? Aren’t the mists supposed to move away from the treasure? Or wait, no. They’re supposed to absorb it when not bonded, but that should have been happening the entire time. Why did it start just now?”
Tony had simply no idea what was happening.
Ning couldn’t hide his giggle when he heard that man sound so passionate and yet so confused.
“What is going on, Ning?” he asked. “Why is the treasure here acting so strangely?”
“Strangely?” Ning asked. “Why do you think it’s strange?”
“Because… this is not how a treasure is supposed to act? Is that not what you told me?” Tony asked.
“I did,” Ning said. “And I didn’t lie.”
“So?” Tony asked.
“Why do you think there is a treasure there?” Ning asked.
“Because… because… you brought us to a treasure?”
“I never said that.”
Tony was confused at that point. “Then what am I looking at? Why is the mist converging at that point?” he asked.
“Because they are about to do what you have been looking forward to seeing this entire time, Ning answered. “Those mists… are creating a treasure.”
Tony’s face blanked for a moment. Even Tim and Jasmine were befuddled at the situation.
“I’m sorry, did you say there is a treasure forming there right now? Tim asked.
“Yes, I brought you here to watch the birth of a Zurin treasure,” Ning answered.
“That’s… amazing.” Tony said as he stared at the screen. “Can we go closer?”
“No, the mists will vanish immediately. The treasure will be destroyed if we approach. That’s why I kept you all here, 3 kilometers away from where it is forming. Just be happy and watch,” Ning said and relaxed.
The remaining 3 stayed quiet and watched the event.
The mists converged on that one location on the island both fast and slowly at the same time. The mists
appeared to move fast, but nothing of note happened for a long time.
What they could see however was a small glowing light forming at the center of the mist.
“Let me change to the X-ray channel. You’ll be able to see it much more clearly.”
As Ning said, the image on the screen disappeared from a dull gray picture with a bright center, to a fully gray picture with a bright, solid object at the center.
As they watched, the solid object slowly changed, morphing into something. It changed to a sphere, then a cube, then what looked like a gun, then a knife, then a jar, then something else.
It was in constant flux, changing from one shape to another without stopping on anything. After a few minutes, the changes slowed down, until it came to a stop in a very weird shape that they couldn’t make out from the screen.
As the shape settled, the light died down a lot and everything started looking the same.
Ning changed the screen back to the regular channel and they could see that the mist that had covered the area had now become mostly transparent, and at the center of the screen was a thick one-handed hammer, with a bulky handle.
“It’s a Hammer. A Hammer Zurin treasure,” Tony said. “How did it come to be? Who made it?”
“You know who didn’t make it; Ning said. “As for the rest, it is up to you to come up with an explanation.”
