Reincarnated as an Energy with a System

Chapter 1512: Cadet

Chapter 1512: Cadet

The surface of Zoultan had an atmosphere thick of smog and poisonous gasses, one that could not inhabit humans at all.

Ning dragged his feet along the thick layer of Spark that caked the surface of the moon. There were some signs of human interference in the area he had landed on, but that was months old at the earliest.

No one had come here in a long, long time.

Ning shook his head. “Let’s go over to the people,” he said and teleported once again.

This time around, he arrived in a dark hallway with glowing spheres that were attached to the side of the wall. Sᴇaʀᴄh the ɴøᴠel Fɪre.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

He looked at the walls and the ceiling, feeling as though he had arrived at some sort of cave. There was a significant lack of smog or spark in this place, and fresh air had filled it to the brim.

‘Where did the air come from?’ he wondered as he walked.

The rocks were surprisingly not so cold and were rather warm. This deep underground, the geothermal heat was just enough to sustain life.

Ning heard a group of people approach, their footsteps growing louder and louder. He quickly adapted his clothes to match the people that were approaching.

He ended up in a proper set of dark green uniforms that fit him fully, with a hat on his head that he couldn’t see the design of.

Ning then finally saw the people that approached, a group of 6 men and women who were making their way toward him.

The group leader was a woman whose features were hard to judge under all the uniform, but Ning could tell that she was quite beautiful just based on her face.

She paused for a second when she saw him and her face fell. “Cadet! You are not authorized to be in this place. Explain yourself!”

“I’m sorry, I got lost,” Ning said.

“There is no way to get lost here,” the woman said. “Lovian, take him to someone with authority and explain the situation. Have him punished.”

“Yes, Captain!” a man from behind the woman walked up to Ning and began shoving him

away.

Ning walked away from the group, not saying anything else. He soon arrived at a large metal door that had to be opened from the other side to enter.

There were 4 people on the other side who were surprised to see the man return with Ning.

“Which one of you let this cadet walk out into the hallway?” Lovian asked. “Do you understand how dangerous it could be? He could’ve died out there.”

The guards looked at each other, somewhat confused. No one remembered letting Ning go out at all.

“Answer now, or you will all face punishment later,” Lovain said.

“We did not let anyone go out, sir. We do not know how he got out there,” someone said.

Lovian looked at them all. “We’ll deal with this once we’re back,” he said. “I’ll have you all talking to a Connector.”

Lovian dragged Ning further away into the hallway.

As Ning walked, he saw that the walls and ceilings here were much better mines. While they still appeared to be natural, they were certainly carved away by humans.

As Ning continued walking in, he decided this was far enough.

He simply waved his hands, and Lovian’s legs slagged a little. He stopped after a second, looking around, confusion filling him. He couldn’t see Ning around him at all.

He knew he had to bring Ning to someone… and… he had already done that. How could he have forgotten?

“I’m supposed to be returning now,” Lovian thought and made his way back toward the same hallway they had come from.

Ning watched as the man left him a moment later and made his way through the hallway, undetected by the other people.

“System, if there is any sort of database or ID card that needs to be here, do it for me,” Ning said. “Integrate me into this society.”

<Done!>

A small spherical crystal appeared in his hands, inside of which were cracks spread in weird directions, as though it had captured a lightning strike.

“This is my identity?” Ning asked.

<It is.>

“And did you make me a cadet by any chance?” Ning asked.

<You are indeed a Cadet for the military of these people.>

Ning nodded. “Give me information about the political situation of this world,” he said.

<Understood>

Bits of information poured into Ning’s head.

There were approximately 3.3 million people living within these underground tunnels, and all of those people were on a hierarchy based on military achievements.

The lowest of the people were regular people with no military achievement whatsoever.

Then there were people in the military, who started as Cadets, then went up to Officer, Chief Officer, Lieutenant, Captain, General, Major, Major General.

It was the Major General who had the highest authority among these people and it was his words that were the law here. The people high in the military were regarded as nobles in the place, and most would do anything to reach there.

“Okay, looks like I have something to look forward to,” Ning said. He wondered if he needed to learn anything more. However, after some thought he realized there wasn’t much he wanted to learn from the System.

Anything else, he would rather learn on his own.

“That’s all I need, system,” Ning said. “You can go update now.”

<Are you sure?>

“Yes, do it.”

<Understood.>

<The System will now undergo temporary changes>

“Are you gone?” Ning asked and got nothing in return.

“Open Interface!”

A blue panel opened in front of him with 3 large boxes within the blue panel. Objects, Skills,

and Knowledge were written on those 3 boxes.

“Exactly how I remember it,” Ning thought. It had been so long since he used the interface,

but it appeared he might have be rely on it once again.

“Later,” he thought and closed the panel. “For now, let’s explore this place.”
