Chapter 1588: Teaching

Chapter 1588: Teaching

Ning walked outside of the court along with the two girls and was quickly stopped by Redaime who seemed to want to talk to him. The two girls left, leaving Redaime to talk with him.

“You never told me this was what you were going to do,” she said, with a slight frown on her face.

“I did say that whatever I was going to do, it was going to change the entire world, did I not?” Ning asked.

“You did say that, but I never thought it would be this massive,” she said. “Do you know how much this changes things? People will no longer have to worry about using their Spark. In situations where they need to eat a lot of Spark to do something important, they no longer need to make a decision between doing the right thing and doing what’s best for them.”

“You have made such a difference now that the ripples will continue to spread throughout ages to come.”

Ning smiled as he listened to her. Her behavior had gotten a lot softer recently, no longer the strict captain that he met all those weeks ago.

“Tell me, how did you do it? How did you learn this was the issue?” she asked. “Was it someone else that found out and you stole their information?”

“Has anyone come forward with such a claim?” Ning asked.

“No,” the woman said. “But it also hasn’t been too much time. Maybe they haven’t heard about it just yet.”

“Do you have that little faith in me that you think I am a thief more than I am a discoverer?” Ning asked.

Redaime shrugged. “I’m only thinking realistically,” she said.

Ning shrugged as well. “I suppose I don’t seem the smart type,” he said. “” That makes me wonder though, why am I the first one to find this?”

Redaime gave a confused look. “Find what?” she asked.

“Spark Crystal,” Ning said. “Has no Sparkless ever died before and had their body cut open to see inside? I would’ve assumed people would have found such a thing by now.”

“I don’t know,” she said. “How would they find out?”

“Autopsy,” Ning said before shaking his head. “You wouldn’t know what that is.”

“You say some cryptic things sometimes,” Redaime said. “That makes me wonder about your past even more so than any other time.”

Ning raised an eyebrow toward her but said nothing in response to her words. Instead, he went on a tangent again. “What happens to dead people again?” he asked. “They are burned, right?”

“Of course,” she said. “What else would you do to dead people?”

One could bury them, but of course, these people wouldn’t do that. They were constantly digging even more below their feet and soon enough any buried corpse would surface immediately. The best thing to do was have their loved ones be burned to ashes and then have those ashes be turned into something compact and solid that the people could then take along with them.

“Maybe that’s why no one knew there was an organ inside your stomach that used Spark and was covered in Spark Crystals when you overused Spark. Had people known that before, they would’ve long since realized what was wrong with Sparkless.”

Redaime chuckled a little. “How would we have found out? Do you want us to cut open the people?” she asked.

Ning shrugged. “The dead ones, why not?” he asked. Anything could be an opportunity to learn more. Only, these people never cared to learn. They were too complacent with their current situation and never sought to improve.

When they did improve, it was always with their powers somehow. Barely anything new came out of the world.

Ning sighed and quickly left Redaime, making his way back to rest. Since a very long stretch of days was going to start tomorrow, he needed to prepare for it.

Ning arrived at a massive hall of a room with nearly 60 people gathered together. Each and every single one of them was Converters, here to learn the secret of healing the Sparkless. Ning walked to the front, looking at every single person there. Each one of them was either a Chief Officer or Lieutenants. Very few of them were Officers or Cadets. There was a level of requirement for this thing that one simply couldn’t skip out on. sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ n0vᴇl(ꜰ)ire.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

Ning looked through everyone, smiling toward Berraine, but doing nothing more than that. He looked at the others and saw their faces, ready to learn.

He nodded and said, “I shall teach you how to heal Sparkless today,” he said out loud, catching everyone’s attention. “It is very simple, but for that, you will need to learn something else.”

To learn how to heal Sparkless, one first needed to learn how to Convert from a distance. Ning made everyone use their converter powers on objects that were at a distance from them.

Many people could do it instantly, but there were a few that struggled. They were newer Converters that needed some more training.

Ning looked at the ones that could and said, “That will be all the lesson for today. This is the most crucial step, so keep learning this for the day. And keep moving the object further and further away as you do so. When you can convert things at a significant distance, we can go to the second stage.”

Many of the people felt annoyed at having to leave the training at this point, but they couldn’t complain. Ning was the teacher today and they had to do as he said.

Once Ning was done teaching them, he let them practice the same thing for the rest of the day and left the room to go toward the next one.

Teaching others how to heal was only part of his task. The next task was for him to actually do the healing as well. He met up with Derria and Parima on the way and arrived at the room where hundreds of people were gathered.

It was going to be a long day.
