33 Chapter 33: Shadow Manipulation (Part 2)
*Step* *Step*
The sound of footsteps echoed across the vast tunnels as a group of three Vampires approached the platform for the [Jubilee line.] at [Green park.]
Their reason for heading to said place was straightforward, to collect the human hostages and bring them over to the nearest Vampire camp.
“Things have been quite crazy outside, haven’t they?” The short ivory haired twin questioned.
“Yeah, even though we’re stronger and have better control, the number of humans who can use abilities is increasing. There’s no telling how this war could go.” Responded the long ivory haired twin.
The purple haired Vampire noble who walked ahead of them had smiles present across his face. He didn’t seem to worried at all about the war.
“It doesn’t matter if their number is greater. Humans will always be food, as the consumers, we’ll naturally reign supreme.”
He spoke with such confidence and charisma that the worries the twins had were immediately erased from their minds.
“Looks like we’ve arrived.” Said the Vampire as the platform was brought out onto view.
Many groups of people were stuck closely to one another trembling in fear and watching over them were two Vampires sat by the edge of the platform.
One was a young vampire with half black and half silver hair, while the other was a gorgeous silver haired Vampire with deep crimson eyes. Her pointy ears and fangs made her beauty stand out even more for the Vampire noble.
‘Oh? How amusing.’
Unlike the male Vampire, the female vampire wasn’t wearing a uniform and simply a dress.
‘It doesn’t seem like they’ve noticed us yet. Probably because I’ve concealed out scent and sounds.’
*Snap*
The purple haired noble snapped his finger before they walked out of the shadows of the tunnel and down the tracks ahead of the platform.
The half black and silver haired Vampire, Xavier, suddenly turned to the noble before smiling.
“Great noble, it appears you’ve arrived safely.” Said Xavier as he walked up to him and bowed.
The noble, ignoring Xavier had his eyes on the silver haired beauty who was sat on the platform with a bored look whilst she stared at him.
“It seems you’ve kept all the hostages here, well done.” He responded to Xavier.
Xavier slowly raised his head and watched as the Vampire walked away from him, over to Sangrea.
“Why is it that you’re not wearing a uniform?” He asked curiously.
The Vampire twins behind him glared at Sangrea upon noticing that he was showing interest in her.
Sangrea ignored the man’s question and instead pointed at Xavier to respond.
“Her uniform was torn to pieces after a battle so we had to make due with a dress from one of the hostages.”
-Memory
“Listen Xavi, I think you’re script is a good idea to fool him so we can enter the Vampire Camp, however no matter what, you can’t mention my name or my family’s name.”
-Memory End.
“That’s my wife, the other member of our squad-“
Xavier was interrupted by a vast amount of bloodlust which fell on his shoulders as the Vampire noble glared at him from the front.
“I don’t recall asking you- Wait, did you say wife?” The noble asked before turning to Sangrea.
“Yeah, what about it?” Sangrea asked with an annoyed look. She had felt his rude attitude and hostility towards her husband, it had pissed her off.
But she held herself back, for Xavier had told her to.
“Leave him, become my wife instead.”
“No thank you.” She responded with a humph.
“But I’m a noble-“
“I don’t care.”
Getting rejected in such a casual way was a first for the purple haired noble, it only made him desire her even more. But he decided to put this desire behind for a now since there were bigger things on his mind.
The twins on the other hand seemed to have a flame ignite behind their eyes as they glared at Sangera, they really didn’t like her.
The noble disappeared from Sangrea’s front before appearing in front of Xavier who had been smiling.
“I was told there were four members in your squad, where are the other two?”
Xavier pointed to their corpses which was down the tunnel on the opposite direction.
“One of the hostages who had learnt how to control their ability had managed to catch them by surprise. I’ve already killed the hostage responsible.”
The noble looked over at the corpses. Their heads were decapitated meaning the hostage that killed them knew their weakness.
In reality there were four corpses however Xavier had hidden the other two ahead of time.
“I see… That does indeed make sense.”
“I take it one of those two swords on your waist is from one of them?” The noble asked
Xavier nodded.
“I see… everything seems to be fine, get the hostages let’s bring them back to the camp.” Said the Vampire as he leapt up onto the platform.
[Sound Manipulation: Mute.]
A field expanded from out of the Noble, covering over the tunnel ceilings to prevent the ghouls from waking up. It was something he’d always do in preparation for a battle underground.
Right as Xavier and the twins jumped onto the platform after them, Xavier felt another surge of bloodlust fall over him once again.
“Ah, that’s right. I wasn’t alerted about any girls being on the squad, much less a wife. Also… you don’t match a description of any of the members. Do you have some sort of magical excuse for that I wonder?”
A smile grew on Xavier’s face as he placed something in his ears.
“You got me-“
[Sound Manipulation: Hypersonic Blast.]
*VBOOOM!*
A strong burst of sound waves, collided against Xavier as the noble turned and pointed his palm at him.
Xavier was supposed to have been sent flying away with ruptured ear drums, but to the Noble’s surprise, he remained in his spot by holding onto his sword which he had thrust into the ground at the last second.
His eyes widened as he noticed that Xavier was completely unscathed by it, and instead giggling.
‘It didn’t work!?’
The Noble’s eyes widened as during his state of confusion Xavier had swung both swords at his neck from both sides. At that moment he got a glance at Xavier’s ears, there was something inside of them, some sort of tiny plug made for blocking out sounds.
“I put on earplugs, you dumbass.” Said Xavier with a grin.
*SLASH!*
–
Sangrea let out a sigh of relief as if it were the moment they had finally been waiting for. The twins instantly pulled out their weapons and got into a fighting stance.
“Looks like we can finally drop the act. I was getting bored of this already.”
