Rise Of The Anti God

Chapter 175 - Your Eyes Are The Mirrors Of My Soul

It was afternoon when Damien entered the alchemy study hall where the practical classes usually take place. To him, it looked more like a courtyard one could relax during their leisure time.

But his eyes were pulled in by the sight of the sapphire-haired ethereal beauty sitting on a chair, reading a book with graceful poise.

The surroundings appeared to fade away as her beauty stole all the brilliance.

Her eyes were completely focused on what she was reading. Damien looked closer and saw that she was reading an old book on etheric flames, and there were other books about elemental seeds on the table.

Damien speculated that she must be going through these books again to guide him.

"You are right on time," Reva said coolly without even taking away her eyes from the book in her hands.

"Of course, how can this disciple dare to be late for the teacher I admire most?"

"Enough, I didn't ask you to tell me the reason. Come, sit." Reva closed her book as she slightly gestured towards the cauldron in front of her.

Damien smiled as he walked towards the silver cauldron and sat behind it. Reva was sitting on the chair just in front of him, and she also had a good view of the cauldron from the top.

"You are barely able to produce some fire sparks, right?" Reva questioned.

Damien nodded, "Yes. My Fire seed is practically dead, and there is not much I can do with it now."

"But you are able to manifest etheric flames no matter how weak they are. Then have you ever thought of reverse comprehending Fire Laws from your etheric flames? Even though your etheric flames are weak doesn't mean your Fire seed will be weak as well once it awakens." Reva said in a factual tone.

'Wow, I could do that too? Luna, why didn't you tell me that?' Damien was impressed that Reva knew such things.

He wondered if she came up with this on the spot as he didn't think that she had seen anyone with his situation before. After all, he was restraining his etheric flames on purpose.

Luna scoffed, "Hmph, seems like she is as clever as she looks. Why would I teach you to develop your Fire seed when there was no present need for it? You said you needed to develop your combat prowess quickly for that Lily girl. So, I gave you Lightning ethereal arts and taught you how to use your Anti-God Arts. Why waste time trying to awaken your Fire seed in between all these?"

Damien shook his head inwardly and looked at Reva's eyes as he said in an impressed tone, "Teacher is not only beautiful but also very intelligent. This disciple should follow your example and surely awaken his Fire seed."

Reva said in a plain tone, "Don't get ahead of yourself. Reverse comprehension is not easy, especially when you are trying to comprehend Etheric Fire Laws from your etheric flames. Unless your comprehension ability is excellent, you won't be able to comprehend the Fire Laws hidden deep within the etheric flames. Since one invokes their etheric flames using their soul energy, the Ethereal Fire Laws are not dominant and because Etheric Fire Laws are not the same as Ethereal Fire Laws. There might even be a chance that you will burn and injure your soul permanently if you try this method and even possibly die.

But if you can reverse comprehend the Etheric Fire Laws and manage to awaken your Fire seed, then your Fire seed would be more powerful than an ordinary practitioner's Fire seed. But of course, whether you can develop your Fire seed depends on your inherent affinity towards Fire and your comprehension talent. But as I warned you about the danger of this method, I want you to think about it and see whether you are confident of doing it. If not, we can try other methods."

Damien was impressed that there was such a way possible to awaken his Fire seed. He never thought that he would be able to awaken his Fire seed as it was in a dormant state already, nor did he feel like he would ever need to have a Fire seed.

He wasn't that worried that he would injure himself as even Luna praised his comprehension talent.

"Don't worry, Teacher Reva. This disciple's comprehension talent is second to none and will surely surprise you." Damien said in a confident tone as he maintained his gaze with her eyes.

Reva couldn't understand where Damien was getting this much confidence from and wondered if it was because he was confident in his extraordinary talent.

However, seeing him still staring at her eyes intently, she felt a bit discomposed and asked plainly, "Fine. But why do you keep looking at my eyes? What's there to see so much?"

Damien gave a pure smile as he said earnestly, "Because your eyes are like the mirrors of my soul. I just always get lost in them."

Reva said coldly, "Enough of your frivolous words. I am your instructor, and you should not talk like that to me. Now, focus on what I told you to do." But inwardly, for a moment, she felt flustered as she heard his devilish words.

She had heard many sugary words from various heirs of prominent young families. Still, she never felt affected by their words. And unlike everyone else, Damien's words didn't seem overly exaggerated but heartfelt words.

Damien put up an innocent expression and said, "But I only answered the question you asked me truthfully. Those weren't frivolous words. I merely said whatever my heart told me to."

He sulked as he continued, "Anyway before you get angry at me for telling the truth, I will start comprehending the Etheric Fire Laws."

Damien didn't say anything more and simply closed his eyes as he started to focus on his soul plane.

Reva shook her head in frustration as Damien made her feel as if she were the one in the wrong here to have chided him. She kind of guessed that nothing good would come out of asking him such questions, but at the same time, she couldn't just hold it in any longer.

She felt disgruntled, thinking why she was getting affected by her disciple. She also closed her eyes and started to meditate to clear her mind of all irrelevant thoughts.

This time when Damien focused, he didn't isolate the Pseudo-Origin Laws in his etheric sparks.

An hour passed as he kept concentrating, letting his spiritual senses pick apart his etheric sparks as he tried to comprehend the Laws in its crux.

His body was already sweating all over as he was extensively concentrating on his soul plane, and even Reva opened her eyes after her meditation.

She furrowed her brows as she inspected his condition thoroughly to make sure he was still completely alright. Although she had been meditating, a part of her senses was on him as she didn't want him injuring his soul in the process of trying to comprehend the Etheric Fire Laws in his etheric flames.

She decided to watch him for a little more time, and seeing his serious face, she thought that he looked like a different person compared to his usually cocky and playful self.

His face was giving off a slightly different charm, and upon closer look, she noticed that he was giving off a mature aura that contrasted with his youthful looks.

As Damien was focusing on his soul plane, his soul energy was inadvertently encompassing his body, changing his aura slightly as his soul age was not exactly that of an adolescent.

An hour passed, and it was already evening. Reva thought of telling him to stop but seeing him keenly trying to comprehend Etheric Fire Laws, she thought whether she should tell him to stop or let him continue.

All this while, Damien had been trying his best to carefully study his etheric sparks and try to comprehend the profound laws contained inside them.

Reva thought that she should tell him to stop as she thought it would at least take him a month to comprehend some of the Etheric Fire Laws, even if he was a genius.

But just when her mouth opened slightly to tell him to stop, she shut it close as her eyes slowly widened, seeing Damien's body becoming hot.
