Rise Of The Anti God

Chapter 207 - Valentina's Rage

A huge wall of water came in between Damien and the blazing axe.

*CHISSS*

The axe got doused and broke into pieces instantly just as it impacted against the wall of water. The wall of water then twisted into a spiral shape and shredded the axe completely before disappearing into thin air.

'Damn…' Damien was astonished seeing how that simple wall of water completely destroyed an Earth Ethereal Grade weapon till there was not even a speck of it left!

"Are you okay?"

Hearing the elegant voice, Damien turned around to see Triton appearing before him as he inspected Damien to make sure nothing happened.

"Yea, thanks. But I doubt whether he would be okay..." Damien said in a stupefied manner as he stared at Drake helplessly lying under Valentina's huge paws.

"GRRRRR….."

Valentina growled with killing intent as she started to crush Drake's ribs!

'Holy fuck!' Damien was surprised at the unbelievable scene in front of him. There was an absolute difference of nine levels between Valentina and Drake.

But in front of his eyes, he clearly saw Valentina suppress Drake as if he was just a twig. He could even hear bone-cracking sounds from Drake's body.

He knew the only reason Drake wasn't dead yet was because Valentina wanted him to suffer in pain for a longer time.

"ROARRRRR…."

Valentina let out a spine-chilling roar that echoed across the whole area, sending a chill through everyone's blood. Even the ground near Valentina cracked up just from her powerful roar, and Damien saw Drake's ears bleeding.

Some even fell unconscious, but Damien and Triton quickly protected the crippled ones by spreading an ethereal barrier. Their souls shook in terror as they heard her blood-curdling roar.

Fortunately, Valentina was directing the roar towards Drake. Otherwise, Damien had no idea if he can survive her powerful roar without internal injuries.

Drake already started coughing up blood as he felt as if a boulder weighing thousands of tonnes were pressing onto his chest. His entire body got paralyzed just from hearing the roar and made him feel like his heart was going to burst any moment.

Seeing her blood-red eyes as he laid under her paw, he felt as if she could kill him just with her eyes. His blood seemed to flow in reverse, and he felt his veins shattering, making him bleed from his nose and lips.

Red veins popped up in his eyes, and his face was starting to become a bloody mess.

Valentina raised her huge paw and clawed at Drake's face, slowly marking a long, huge bloodied mark from his forehead till his jaw. Since she was so big, only just a single claw was enough to scar Drake's whole face.

Everyone's heart shook and trembled as they witnessed the spine-chilling scene happening in front of them. Those who were very far away hurriedly went inside their homes just as they heard the mind-numbing roar.

"Quickly, stop her. If he dies, there can be big trouble." Triton urged as he himself prepared to rush forward if Damien didn't stop Valentina.

"Talia, stop! That's enough. Don't kill him." Damien knew that Triton told him to stop Valentina as he didn't want to hurt Valentina in the process of trying not to let Drake die.

But Valentina didn't seem to even hear his words as her bloody aura only continued to increase with each moment. She raised her enormous paw to land the killing blow after being satisfied that she crushed most of his bones.

Triton didn't wait any longer and waved his hands to conjure up a huge torrent of water which swiftly headed towards Valentina.

"Don't worry. I won't hurt her." Triton called out to Damien just before he could react.

"GROWLLLL"

Valentina sensed the torrent of water heading towards her and quickly dodged towards the side despite how huge her body was.

She let out a low snarl as she locked her eyes on Triton for interrupting her kill. She slowly scratched the ground beneath her as she prepared to charge towards Triton in rage.

'Oh no…' Damien knew Valentina was now angry at Triton for stopping her from killing Drake. He didn't want Triton to even harm a single hair on Valentina just because Triton wanted to forcibly calm Valentina down. Besides, he knew it would only have the opposite effect.

Triton knew he might be attracting Valentina's aggression towards him but was confident enough to stop her.

Damien quickly rushed forward and came in between Valentina and Triton. He slowly approached Valentina as he said in a gentle voice, "Talia, don't. He was only trying to stop you. Calm down and come back to me. You have done what you needed to do. I am perfectly fine."

Valentina's body froze just as she saw Damien coming into her sights. Her bloody aura faltered as her eyes focused, regaining back some of her clarity.

Damien walked towards her while slowly raising his hand towards her. Valentina's raging blood seemed to cool down slowly as Damien's figure filled her eyes.

"Damien, careful!" Triton mentally transmitted to Damien as he didn't know if Valentina had really calmed down. Otherwise, Damien might get pounced upon if Valentina was still in a frenzied state.

Triton knew how extremely hard it was to calm ethereal beasts even if they were tamed.

Some people ran away the first chance they got as they didn't want to risk their lives by lingering around Valentina any longer. In contrast, the others were still terror-stricken and were shocked to see that Damien was brave enough to approach the huge, towering, and powerful ethereal beast.

Most of them clenched their fists close to their hearts hoping that Valentina does not crush Damien. Just one of her paws was large and powerful enough to crush Damien to death.

They gulped as sweat trickled down their foreheads as if they were in place of Damien. However, miles away, an elderly woman was watching everything clearly through her senses, making her brows rise in shock.

Just like anybody else, she was at a loss for words when Irene saw Valentina transforming into a massive dreadful ethereal beast that could make one's blood go cold.

Even after living for over a thousand years and having a tempered heart, she was shocked not only because an ethereal beast was able to transform but also because of how she easily overpowered Drake, who was nine levels stronger than her!

No matter how many times she checked, she was sure Valentina was only at the First Level of the Earth Ethereal Realm. The only one she knew who had the ability to transcend a whole realm in combat was Damien.

But now, even his ethereal beast seemed to show similar traits.  The more she thought about them, the more she felt that these two weren't ordinary.

It was not impossible to surmount levels to defeat someone else. But still, there was a limit to how many levels one can cross.

And this difference becomes even lesser as one's cultivation realm increases.

Even being able to defeat someone a level higher than him is seen as something only geniuses can do.

Crossing two levels was something only ones with stellar talent and comprehension could achieve. Anything beyond two levels was simply seen as impossible.

This is why rumors of Damien's combat prowess made people dismiss them as baseless rumors due to how incredulous it seemed.

Damien finally reached near Valentina and gently caressed her forelimb as he whispered, "It's fine...I am unharmed. He is not even worth killing, and why should we face more trouble because of him?"

Valentina's bloody aura completely subsided as Damien continued to caress her gently. As she felt his loving stroke, her enormous body slowly reduced in size as her features became cuter.

When she reached about Damien's height, she licked his face affectionately, and Damien chuckled as he patted her head and fluffy ears.

He wound his arms around her neck and kissed her face with shimmering blue stripes. He was so glad that he has someone like Valentina who cared for him so much and felt lucky to have her.

He had no problem no matter how vicious and cruel Valentina was to his enemies. He wouldn't have minded letting Drake die if there was no consequence.

But because Drake was not a nobody and belonged to one of the top five families. He didn't want more problems on his plate for the time being, and it seemed like the Forsaken also considered him as a valuable asset.

However, he was sure Drake would never ever dare to cause any troubles with him again with how things ended up.
