Rise Of The Anti God

Chapter 457 - Separating The Ethereal Cores

"Hmph, I knew it! This obviously had something to do with external factors. Otherwise, someone like her couldn't be simply born with such a constitution," Luna mentally said and continued, "You should try to get your hands on that so-called divine treasure. Who knows...it could be quite useful for you, hehe."

"What do you think I am thinking about right now?" Damien replied as he inwardly shook his head.

"I think even though our parents consider it as a sacred treasure, for my sister and me, it has been like a curse which we want to get rid of but couldn't since in the wrong hands it could spark a lot of trouble my father said."

"Your father came upon this treasure around fifteen years ago, right?" Damien asked with a contemplative look.

The little king nodded, "Yes, around fifteen years ago or so. Is there anything concerning about it?"

Damien felt as if some odd pattern was apparent here though he decided to think about it later and said, "No...nothing. But may I ask one thing if it's not too presumptuous?"

"Of course, please," The little king encouraged.

"Well, can we take a look at this sacred treasure? I mean, I am someone who deeply researches odd things like this and was hoping if you could satisfy my curiosity? But if I am asking too much, please forget what I just said," Damien asked candidly.

The little king's expression became a bit difficult as he again glanced at Ai as if she was the real decision-maker here, and indeed he always looked to his sister for advice and counsel since not only was she older, but she knew more things than him as well.

Damien asked in a way that sounded as if he was sincerely curious about seeing the treasure without any hidden intentions.

This time Ai spoke as she glanced at Yuria, "I think...we can show you...It's the least we can do to repay the kindness...you all have shown."

The little king softly smiled as he nodded, "My sister is right. Even if it's supposed to be a family secret, you all are our benefactors. So I think it's alright to show you all."

Damien smiled as he said, "Thank you, Your Majesty and Your Highness. This really means a lot to me."

"Please...No need for all that. We are the ones who owe you a lot for helping us so far. Otherwise, we may not even be standing here today," The little king said in a grateful tone.

Yuria, who was observing the conversation inwardly, shook her head, knowing how Damien manipulated the whole thing to get what he wanted. She only realized it now since she wasn't present during the initial discussion.

"Hehe, you are becoming smarter like this goddess. Good, good. Seems like my long stay in your mind has at least done you some good," Luna said proudly, knowing that Damien purposefully proposed to help them since he wanted to gain their favor while appearing as a modest and humble gentleman who wasn't looking for any kind of repayment.

"You really got a knack for taking others' credits," Damien mentally chuckled while thinking that this treasure couldn't be ordinary as they described.

Right now, Damien was open to seeking any kind of treasures or events that could help provide him an advantage to become stronger.

"Let's begin then," Damien said as he nodded at Yuria, who looked at Ai and said, "Now close your eyes and relax. It may get uncomfortable, but you have to hold on. I am sure you are a born fighter, so this should be nothing."

Ai nodded with a weak smile as she slowly closed her eyes while Shin held on tightly to her hand.

The little king became even more anxious now that the important thing he was most anticipated about was going to happen.

Yuria placed her hand on Ai's chest as she closed her eyes to focus while letting her ethereal energy slip into Ai's system.

Yuria was immediately able to sense Ai's twin ethereal cores that seemed to wreak havoc in her body.

She decided to do as Damien advised her by separating the two ethereal cores from each other first since they were in a conjoined state.

Damien stood beside Yuria just in case she needed help while Valentina sat on the other end of the bed, closely observing what was happening.

Yuria had to be very careful in moving her ethereal energy around Ai's ethereal cores since a single mistake could result in the rupturing of her ethereal cores, leading to instant death.

Since Yuria had the Chaos Ethereal Core, she had the ability to directly interact with foreign ethereal cores and even manipulate them to an extent, with augmentation being one of the applications she could do, just like how she did with Valentina.

However, in this case, she had to manipulate one of Ai's ethereal cores in a way that it would no longer recognize Ai as the body it should be attached to. Basically, it was no different than making one of the ethereal cores naturally reject her system so that it would no longer be in a conjoined state, and then the extra ethereal core would collapse on itself before dissipating away.

After spending a few minutes in using her ethereal energy to slowly separate one of Ai's ethereal cores, Yuria was happy to see that it was working as she could sense one of the ethereal cores detaching itself from the other.

Ai's brows pulled together while her eyes were still closed though she didn't seem to show any other sign of discomfort, much to the relief of the little king and Shin.

However, right after one of the ethereal cores got detached, Yuria's smile stifled as she suddenly felt a surge of powerful ethereal energy trying to invade her body by flowing in reverse.

Damien noticed Yuria grimacing in pain and sat beside her as he asked worriedly, "Yuria, are you okay?"

"Quickly grab her hand!" Luna suddenly instructed Damien, who was confused but immediately followed what she said.
