Rise Of The Anti God

Chapter 568 - Mastering The Power Of Ice

Chapter 568 – Mastering The Power Of Ice

"Still, before you go out, you need some training to get used to your new powers, especially after you somehow absorbed the bloodline of a god," Elor said fervently, feeling immense pride that his future grandson-in-law killed the evil god that had been tormenting his people for what felt like an eternity.

He couldn't help but feel impatient to reveal the entire truth to his people or ones who survived after the previous battle with the Xeton Empire.

He wanted to show them the truth and that it was the man who loved his granddaughter that ended this nightmare.

Damien raised his brows as he asked, "Training? You mean to control my new ice powers?"

Elor nodded as he said, "Yes. Reva is the best teacher you can get since she is the only one among us who can control both water and ice. While my people could only manipulate ethereal water energy. The ice elemental seed is actually a Fusion Seed…a higher form of the water elemental seed, and something which we can only dream of possessing. You are quite fortunate to have gained such a powerful elemental seed other than your lightning seed. If people out there knew about it, you would have women from the most powerful royal families lined up before your house to marry you and have your child."

Damien awkwardly chuckled and was glad that Reva was not here to hear this. Still, he couldn't help feel even happier about his new powers now that Elor described how rare it was.

Elor added, "Even the Lancaster Empire would have to become wary of you since their fire elemental seed would surely lose out to your ice elemental seed. It is their primary weakness. So if you become powerful enough, then you can even turn them into an ally since they would rather not become your enemy.

"Even the Xeton Empire won't be a big deal for you once you at least reach the Profound Ethereal Realm based on my estimate of your impressive combat prowess. You can take down Ruthren like child's play. I wish I was there to see how much destructive your lightning was against those despicable armies of his. Reva told me how shocked Ruthren looked when you routed his proud imperial army and even suppressed Ruthren for a while with the help of Shania and the others. This was something that never happened in our history. Nobody could even dream of such things until you came along."

"I just wanted to save Reva and her family. That is what made me go out there on the battlefield. Otherwise, I don't think I would have risked it," Damien frankly told him.

Elor softly smiled as he said, "I know. And that is enough to make me happy. As long as you look after and love my granddaughter, then I can die without any regrets once my time comes. But…for now, till Reva comes out, I can give you some pointers on how to control your new powers and also some fighting tactics which can be useful in not only facing off against the Xeton Empire but any situation. Even if this bag of old bones had lost his powers, my wisdom could surely help you out."

"Sure, Grandpa. I will gladly accept your teachings," Damien bowed respectfully as he began to diligently listen to Elor's teachings while practicing what he was learning right there and then.

As hours passed, the more he listened to Elor's teachings, the more Damien realized how useful the experiences of someone so old could be helpful.

Of course, Luna was like a mentor to him as well, but she never spoon-fed him other than giving him the tools to learn. The rest she always let him figure out on his own and never directly trained him.

He knew that her method had benefits as well since he could think for himself and also improve his learning ability. But at the same time, he also wished that he could receive direct training from someone like her since it could surely improve his talents and abilities by leaps and bounds.

Even with just a few hours of Elor's teachings, Damien was able to learn the best ways to utilize his ethereal energy while cutting down on unnecessary consumption. This made him realize how much ethereal energy he was unnecessarily wasting because of the inefficient channeling of his ethereal energy.

This alone would allow him to last longer in a battle even with his Undying Wrath skill active. He already saw how Profound Ethereal Realm cultivators fight each other and how their most powerful skills would continuously devour their ethereal energy like anything.

And the one who runs out of ethereal energy first would obviously be the first to fall. Just being stronger than the other was not enough, especially if the power difference was not that big.

Other than this, Damien was also able to learn more about the power of water and its subtle and serene nature. Of course, since he had the ice elemental seed, his ability to manipulate water won't be more than his ability to manipulate ice because of having a Fusion seed.

Still, learning more about the power of water helped him understand more about his ice elemental seed since the two were closely related.

He learned that manipulating a large amount of ice or even water could be quite overwhelming, just like trying to control a tsunami.

And the key was to calm his heart and empty his mind just like Reva taught him before, and to take it even a step further, Elor told him to try to not 'control' the ethereal ice energy in his body but to just let it flow freely like water.

Following this advice, Damien was able to quickly unleash large amounts of his jet-black icy ethereal energy to construct even a small building made out of ice. Of course, it looked simple but simply looking at it made him feel marveled at how far he came within just a few hours of learning from Elor.

If he keeps up with this, then soon he can create huge strategic structures made out of ice for defensive purposes, especially in a large scale war!
