Chapter 612 The Gale Emperor’s Mishap
Chapter 612 The Gale Emperor's Mishap
Everyone turned their heads to look at the Gale Emperor subtly to see if this was indeed true. If it was, then it was surely a cheap move especially considering his status. No matter what a man with such power and status shouldn't stoop to such things personally.
After all, the Krisen Kingdom was still a part of his own Gale Empire, and even if he wanted to make sure the Krisen Kingdom would remain loyal to the imperial family, he could have just tried to do it in the right way while maintaining his dignity.
Besides, the Krisen Kingdom had only brought benefits and made the Gale Empire more prosperous due to how good they were at producing pills and weapons. There wasn't even the slightest hint that the Krisen Kingdom had plans to go against the imperial family.
So instead of trying to bring down the Krisen Kingdom, the Gale Emperor should be giving them a hand.
Some of the nobles and ministers were already feeling aggrieved for King Krisen since they were close allies and were eager to see the Krisen Kingdom prosper as their families would benefit from that too.
But if the Krisen Kingdom was to go down, then nobody would benefit from it.
"Hm, why are you staying silent, Dog Emperor? Cat got your tongue? Or are you afraid the people will learn how paranoid you are to maintain your throne to the point of using innocent girls to make sure of it? Tsk, tsk, how pathetic. It seems that maybe a bitch maid probably switched you with your mother's baby just to make sure that your lowly self would one day get the thr—"
"I WILL KILL YOU!!" The Gale Emperor roared as if he just couldn't stomach it anymore, especially when his own royal blood was getting insulted before everybody. His body immediately shot out forward, leaving behind a shockwave of ethereal energy that blasted away many nobles while killing some unfortunate young geniuses who didn't move fast enough, some of which were from his own empire.
The Gale Emperor's eyes were bloodshot, and blood was trickling down his lips due to having gnashed down on his teeth for all this while.
However, the hooded man was still standing in the same spot without moving an inch, as if he was confident that nothing would happen to him.
And right before the Gale Emperor could even reach within ten meters of the hooded man, he felt two waves of heavy pressure descending down on his back that immediately slowed down his speed to zero before making him crash on the floor.
"Your Majesty, I am sorry, but I can't let you do anything that would put my daughter's life in danger," King Kirsen said in a firm tone as he descended near the Gale Emperor.
"Gale Emperor, you should stand down for now. There are lives at stake here, and your people are watching you," The Xeton Emperor also appeared near the Gale Emperor with his hands behind his back.
The Gale Emperor quickly tried to calm down, especially after the Xeton Emperor personally stopped him. It was obvious that the Xeton Emperor valued Lily's life too much to the point he was not even willing to take the slightest risk, even if there was a 99.9% chance that the hooded man was bluffing.
Even if Lily had a three elemental constitution, it wouldn't warrant such treatment from the Xeton Emperor unless he was missing something here. Sure, someone like Lily was quite rare, but still, it was not to the point the Xeton Emperor would care for her life while enduring insults to his face.
But right now, the Gale Emperor was not in the mood to think about these things, and instead, he glared at the hooded man as he tried to regain his regal bearings, "Whoever you are, I promise that my empire would hunt you and your entire family like a god. Not even the gods will be able to save you now."
The hooded man slightly laughed as he said, "Are you sure you will still be the emperor after what you have done to your own people? Look around you."
The Gale Emperor frowned as he turned his head to look around and saw that the great hall had lost its elegance and instead, blood was flowing on the floor with corpses of young geniuses lying here and there and people wailing near these corpses who obviously seemed like they were the family of the deceased ones.
The Gale Emperor felt a prickle on his scalp since some of these noble families were from his own empire, most of them loyal to him, while the other noble families seemed to be from the Lancaster Empire.
Every genius in a noble family was highly regarded since nurturing even one of them takes up a major chunk of the family's resources. Some of them nurture them so that in the future, they would make their family name even more powerful, while others do it out of love or maybe both.
No matter which case, if a young genius suddenly dies, it would be an irreparable loss for the family since not only would all the resources they had spent on them be gone to waste but also there was no guarantee another genius of the same caliber would be born in the family. And even if one was born again, it would take many years for that genius to mature, and by that time, their rivals would have the upper hand.
This was precisely the reason why the standard rules of spars stated that nobody can kill each other under any circumstances. Not even accidentally. They were supposed to already be mindful of it from the start to prevent any accidents.
And now, as the aura of blood and death began to fill the previously lively great hall, the ones who suffered the losses of their treasured geniuses slowly turned their resentment-filled gazes towards the Gale Emperor.
