Rise Of The Anti God

Chapter 684 You Are Not Of This Continent

Chapter ?684 You Are Not Of This Continent

Ruthren's eyes widened as he saw an ominous-looking lightning bolt heading his way. He motioned with his hands as his dragon ethereal manifestation opened its jaws wide as if to swallow the bolt.

*Crackle!*

But the moment it did, hot vapors escaped from the body of Ruthren's ethereal manifestation as the ethereal water dragon was getting deformed as if it was getting melted because of what it swallowed.

Ruthren snapped his fingers together as his ethereal manifestation broke down and coalesced again to return to its original form, though this time, it seemed much smaller and not intimidating as before.

He bared his teeth in frustration and disbelief, seeing how his ethereal manifestation barely stopped Damien's lightning bolt.

"Stop struggling like a rat," Damien said in a tone of contempt as he clapped his hands together, creating lightning vortexes of death by using the skill Star Illuminating Vortex.

Two lightning tornadoes formed right beside Ruthren and seemed to suck in anything near them before shredding them to pieces. They seemed to make the skies look even darker and ominous.

Damien also created a third one right in the middle of Ruthren's imperial army to kill them all faster. Within the next second itself, a lot of Ruthren's men were sucked into the vortex before being scorched and shredded apart by the jet-black lightning tornado that was only getting bigger and bigger.

Damien was beginning to feel a bit exhausted, but his determination to kill Ruthren was pumping his body full of adrenaline.

He shot towards Ruthren at a neck-breaking speed to deal a heavy blow.

Ruthren was busy trying his best to not get pulled into the vortex as his feet dragged through the mud, exerting all the strength he could to maintain his foothold.

But when he saw Damien rushing towards him, he motioned with his finger as his ethereal dragon manifestation opened its mouth to launch a wide and powerful stream of ethereal water.

It was so wide it could decimate buildings effortlessly and even destroy a large group of cultivators.

? Damien didn't take his attack lightly, but he coldly smirked as his figure suddenly split into three identical ones, confusing Ruthren, who had a hard time deciding which Damien he should let his ethereal manifestation target the water stream.

He recognized this technique, and this time he was fully sure that no matter how shocking, Damien somehow got Yohr's ethereal arts and probably even something more. But how?? Ruthren couldn't understand how a mortal would be able to steal such things from a god even if it was a weakened one.

If that was possible, wouldn't he have done it already?

"Damien…Tell me who you are really…" Ruthren said with gritted teeth as his eyes burned with jealousy and rage. How could someone who was only 18 years old get to be so lucky while he who had gotten his hands dirty for centuries still had to struggle?

He refused to believe a junior could surpass him in this continent, and the worst thing was that even his attacks wouldn't be fully effective due to the ethereal advantage lightning had over water.

And what was even more worse was that he can't go all out unless he gets weakened by the death energy in the air. But Ruthren had no idea that the Anti-God energy had already weakened him.

It was no different than fighting with a handicap.

Still, he made his ethereal manifestation split the water stream into three to target all three figures of Damien, hoping to strike the original one. But to his surprise, the water stream easily destroyed all three of them, but Damien wasn't that weak to get destroyed like that.

He suddenly sensed something as his brows raised, but…

"Aargh!" Ruthren grimaced as he felt a thunderous blow on his back, sending him flying forward by a couple of hundred meters.

He literally felt as if a lightning bolt struck his back at a back-breaking speed and could feel that his entire back got scorched.

He could feel the coppery taste of blood in his mouth while his ethereal core was screaming to take in more ethereal energy to heal himself quickly. But he refused since he didn't want to get weakened in this atmosphere. He didn't expect the tides to turn so suddenly. How did Damien even make those ethereal beasts explode like that? Nothing was making sense. He was definitely not born on this continent.

"The last thing you should be concerned about is my identity. What you should be concerned about is how you are going to die a rat's death," Damien said as he stomped on Ruthren's arm with full force.

*CRACK!*

"AAARGHH!!"

Ruthren's right shoulder shattered, but the reason Ruthren howled in pain was that Damien was still pressing down on his arm with his foot, turning his bones to paste.

He couldn't understand how Damien got so strong suddenly. His cultivation was not even in the fabled Noble Ethereal Realm.

"You weak piece of shit. Centuries of backstabbing and killing like a coward, and yet you cry like a weakling under my feet. This is who you really are, Ruthren. And you consider yourself the strongest man on this continent? What a pitiful joke, heh," Damien mocked as he made sure to permanently cripple his right arm as revenge for what he did to Yuria's father.

Ruthren could hear his own bones being crushed into bits while his flesh was turned into a bloody mess inside. The humiliation of having his arm being crushed by a junior affected him more than the pain.

"I know…you have a master…You got sent here from the Old World, didn't you? Who sent you? Was it Night Raven who sent you?" Ruthren asked with a clenched jaw. The pain was crushing his nerves yet his eyes had a wild glint.

"Night Raven? Who the hell is that, and how do you seem to know so much about the Old World?" Damien asked as he grabbed Ruthren by his collar, feeling suspicious.
