270 Angel
I would have fainted several times over had it not been for my [Merciless] and [Dominator] Titles that seemed to keep my mental pillars intact.
I felt like I was barely on the edge of sanity!
Who… rather, what… was the being who was appearing beside me?!
“Human… No… Abberation…” A marvelous voice appeared behind me, causing all the hair on my skin to stand as I felt like I would die over and over again just from hearing it.
My stiff neck was forced to turn in both curiosity, dread, and total reverence.
My shivering body turned and my head remained bowed as I looked behind me, completely ignoring Lily who seemed to have collapsed as a result of the sheer pressure of whatever had manifested.
My eyes scoured the ground, but I found nothing on it. That only meant one thing…
‘It… is floating…?!’
Yes, I could sense the owner of such terrifying pressure, yet melodious voice, hanging in the air—yet no shadow was evident on the ground.
I gulped as I reluctantly raised my head to view the stranger that surfaced. The fear of death and absolute submission was forced down within me and I overcame them with only sheer will, once again grateful for my [Dominator] and [Solo Hunter] Titles.
“W-wha—?!” My mouth unconsciously formed words as I captured the sight of the being that hovered in the air.
Light feathers of milky white color danced in the air, floating like ripples of water that glistened and reflected sunlight.
The being that levitated took the form of a beautiful woman, one made of the fairest of skins and the greatest of charms. Words couldn’t describe her elegance.
Her attire was that of light armor, with silver as its main color, and lines of gold for decorations. A form of crown floated atop her head, and her glamorous hair flowed downward, nearly touching the sole of her foot.
Her entire body was almost shrouded in armor, save for certain parts of her, like a portion of her arms and feet—the neck region and her face were left untouched as well.
This allowed me to feast my eyes upon the glorious, magnificent, transcendent beauty that this strange woman had.
With clear, silver eyes, and a stoic expression, the fair-skinned woman glanced at me with barely any interest.
On her back were two large wings that generated the feathers which glistened with light. Her wings were large enough to completely shroud her, yet, they were elegantly spread apart—most likely to keep the woman afloat.
Slowly, the unease I felt began vanishing, and for some reason, I regained my composure. Was it due to the continuous effects of my Titles? I had no idea.
As I stared at the woman, only one thought came to my mind.
I had seen someone who professed to be God, and I was encountering Demons since I came to this world. It was only a matter of time before I saw something like this…
“A-An… Angel…?”
At that moment, the woman’s tightly shut lips pursed, opening slightly to form words.
Yes, her small and elegant lips parted and she spoke in the same melodious, yet oppressive tone.
“Threat confirmed. You are the Singularity—Jeremy Lewis—and as per my orders… I shall now execute you.”
I couldn’t believe what my ears had picked up. So much information flowed into my mind and it felt like I had no time to mull over the details.
‘Threat? Singularity? Orders?!!’
As much as I couldn’t believe someone as seemingly absolute as this being could be controlled by someone, she had just said it herself.
She was sent to execute me? By whom? Was it also related to Daniel’s sudden resurrection and assault?
My brain felt like it would collapse just from the internal myriad of questions that flooded it.
“Prepare yourself, o’ Singularity of Evil…” Her voice came again.
My eyes bulged as I unconsciously lifted my hands to explain myself in complete surrender.
“W-wait!!!”
“… Your moment of retribution is nigh!”

[Moments Before]
In the ‘Corridor’, the converging points of the infinite worlds which connected the domains of all Supreme Beings—the ones known to be Gods were assembled.
A menace had surfaced, one made through the rebellion of one of them. It was a mess none of the great and powerful ones could solve on their own.
And so, having contemplated on what to do, they all unanimously decided to make use of an Executioner.
“The only problem…”
“… Is the condition needed to be fulfilled before utilizing the Executioners”
The Executioners were the direct agents of the Supreme Ones.
While they possessed powers beyond natural comprehension, their roles were limited, especially once Armageddon began. Since everything was stated in the Supreme Celestial Statute, even the Gods had to comply.
They took care of those deemed as ‘threats’ by the System. These threats were labeled Singularities and also had to be ‘Evil’. Considering the fact that these two factors meant that such a being would be outside the control of the System to an extent, and also had malevolent intentions, an Executioner’s job was to completely eliminate any such existence.
“The aberration, Jeremy Lewis… his Stream of Fate has been corrupted, so we have limited access to observe him.”
“The ones in which we have access to show that he does not possess an ‘Evil Alignment’.”
After considering it carefully, there was only one choice to make.
The Gods, yes, the absolute and supreme ones… we’re going to induce the role to him.
“When will the probability scaling be at its thinnest?” They asked the most obvious answer while monitoring the territory of their fallen comrade—the Supreme being of Sector A-64.
The Probability Scaling they referred to was the moment where it was most likely for them to interfere. In a way, they made use of the System’s loophole to slightly alter the course of events and make an ‘accident’ occur.
That way, their target—Jeremy Lewis—would officially become a candidate for execution.
Fortunately, the Gods found the perfect moment.
It was when the aberration caused a massacre while relying on the no-kill code to remain a non-Evil Aligned Gifteds.
If they could cause some form of unprecedented situation to occur, they could force his hand and induce a kill on the boy, resulting in him breaking the rule he abided by.
Normally, the Supreme Beings would not bother resorting to such cheap tactics, but they had run out of options.
For the first time in their infinite lives, the Gods were desperate!
