Chapter 463 Giant Worm (Part 1)
Xisrith was fascinated by the size of the docking port. Her eyes shone brightly. The huge floating docked ships looked like sleeping giants, ready to be awakened and take their passengers anywhere.
The frenetic movement of people in the harbor was a true spectacle of skill and coordination. Nimble and uniformed crews moved between the airships, loading supplies, checking equipment, and making fine adjustments to the magic balloons that held the ships in the air. The sound of engines and the metallic clatter of chains and gears blended into an industrial symphony that echoed for miles. The metal chains, imposing and shining, connected the ships to anchor points strategically placed on the platform.
Xisrith could see each of the chains being carefully adjusted, ensuring the stability and safety of the airships. The flexible cables, woven with magical fabrics, shimmered softly, giving this imposing structure an aura of enchantment and protection.
After boarding one of these airships, bound for the camp below, Xisrith was even more impressed. How could something so technological exist in a game set in the Middle Ages?
Soon after they left the airship, Kaizen and Xisrith began their journey to a nearby desert area that the Psyker had long wanted to explore because of the strange creatures that inhabited it.
The scorching sun shone mercilessly in the sky, casting its golden light on the vast sand dunes that stretched before them. Kaizen led the way, deftly navigating the undulations of the dunes. His steps were firm and precise, leaving distinct footprints in the sand that were quickly covered by the sand and wind.
Xisrith followed him closely, her golden eyes scanning the horizon for impending danger or hidden treasure.
"This desert area is known to be inhabited by a certain creature that is very dangerous," Kaizen warned, casting a cautious glance around. "We must be alert and ready for any unwanted encounters." š³šeāÆšš¦šš£ļ½šš²Ęļ¼ ššš®
Xisrith nodded, keeping his senses alert. The warm wind whispered in his ears, swirling the sand around him. His feet sank slightly into the hot, fluffy surface, requiring extra effort to move forward.
As they advanced through the desert, the desolate and barren landscape unfolded before them. Golden dunes stretched as far as the eye could see, creating an imposing and majestic setting. The solemn silence was broken only by the whisper of the wind and the shifting of the sand beneath the players' feet.
As Kaizen and Xisrith walked through the sweltering desert, a subtle tremor coursed through the sandy soil, alerting them to the imminent presence of the creature Kaizen expected to encounter.
"What is it?" Xisrith asked, staring at the vibrating sand as he drew his sword.
"A giant worm, a common creature here."
"What?! Like in the movies?!"
"Exactly. Get ready to escape." Kaizen warned them.
A tense silence hung in the air for a few more seconds as they waited for the creature to appear, knowing that a deadly confrontation was imminent.
Suddenly, the earth began to shake even more violently than before, as if in convulsion. Kaizen and Xisrith stood firm, their hearts pounding with the adrenaline of battle. The deep, guttural roar echoed around them, growing in intensity until finally the ground gave way. A giant worm emerged from the depths, its monstrosity revealed in the searing sunlight. Its colossal body snaked through the dunes, its iridescent white scales reflecting the rays of light. Each movement was powerful and brutal. As the monster rose majestically, its menacing presence filled the air with a foul stench.
Kaizen and Xisrith watched in awe and admiration at the majesty of the giant worm. Its sharp jaws opened and closed, revealing hundreds of razor-sharp teeth capable of shredding anything in its path as they spun like a drill in its mouth. Its shining, sword-like fangs promised a cruel fate to those who dared face it.
The warm wind carried the acrid smell of sand and the pungent scent of the giant worm, sending a tingle down Kaizen's spine, a mixture of revulsion and excitement.
Xisrith stood beside him, his muscles tensed, ready to fight, but also afraid. "Can we take this thing on?"
Kaizen's eyes met Xisrith's red ones, showing a more than normal confidence. "Are you kidding? There's no other way but to fight, we'd never be able to outrun that thing."
Without another word, they moved forward together to prevent the giant creature from attacking them first.
The giant worm twitched with its undulating body, moving toward the fearless duo seconds after seeing them move toward it. With each movement of this monster, the earth shook from its impressive weight.
Kaizen and Xisrith leaped nimbly and gracefully over the dunes, deftly dodging the worm's brutal onslaught. They knew they could not face such a ferocious creature head on. Then Xisrith drew his red-bladed sword from the sheath at his waist, and Kaizen equipped the Able Fury Spear.
Their eyes fixed on the giant worm, they watched the monster's every move. The hot wind blew sand into their faces, and the vastness of the desert served as a silent witness to the epic battle that was about to take place. The giant worm approached quickly, moving with surprising speed for its enormous mass. Its scales glistened in the sunlight, reflecting the golden rays in a display of color. Each time it moved, the sand around it rose, forming small miniature storms that seemed to dance to the sound of the battle.
Kaizen adjusted his stance, holding the Spear of Able Fury tightly. The weapon seemed to pulse in his hands, radiating a wild, unbridled energy. He concentrated, channeling his power and focusing his mind. His piercing gaze fixed on the giant worm's head, and he activated the <Deep Cut> skill.
