Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 544 Colossal Sea Monster (Part 2)

"Okay, okay... But how about we cut it short? Where is your master? Because you're obviously not the First Bishop, you're too weak."

The creature gritted its teeth. Its anger was mixing with the pain caused by Kaizen's blows. Its eyes fixed on the Psyker with a mixture of hatred and despair.

"My master... the First Bishop... he is beyond your reach." growled the creature with its voice shaking with frustration. "You have no idea of the power he possesses. None of you humans do."

Kaizen kept his confident smile, but a hint of caution crept into his thoughts. He knew that the threat of the Eye of Hermodr was not only limited to those in its path, but the First Bishop was one of its biggest problems.

"So you are willing to die for him?" Kaizen teased. "Are you willing to sacrifice your life for such a simpleton's cause?"

The creature snarled and its fury reached an even higher level. "I am loyal to my master and will do whatever is necessary to protect our domain!"

Kaizen sighed, realizing that he would not be able to get valuable information from the creature. He knew that the only way to end all of this was to kill the creature. If it was important to the First Bishop, he would show up to stop it.

"If this is how you choose, then there is no hope left for you." Kaizen stated, raising his stance and holding the Ragnarok Sword firmly. "Now tell me where the King's Sword is."

The creature glared hatefully at Kaizen and replied:

"You will never know!" π—³π—Ώπ—²π—²π˜„π—²π›π§π—Όπ˜ƒπžπ₯.πœπ¨π—Ί

"It's inside your stomach, isn't it?"

"Gulp! How did you...?"

"I haven't seen the sword anywhere around here and there's only you here. With your size, it's normal that you can store a lot of stuff in there." Kaizen said and brandished the sword forward in order to intimidate the creature once again. "So that's the last warning I give you. Give me the King's Sword or I will kill you and take the sword anyway."

The creature shook its head and its expression became a mixture of anger and fear. It was clearly disturbed by Kaizen's perception of the location of the King's Sword. Yet it was still too loyal to hesitate.

"Do you think you can intimidate me, human?" the creature vociferated. "I am not afraid of your empty threat. The King's Sword will remain with me until the end!"

Kaizen analyzed the situation, recognizing that the creature was determined to protect the Sword at any cost. He knew he would need to act quickly and precisely to get what he wanted.

"You chose the path of death." Kaizen declared in a firm voice. "So you didn't let me choose."

With a sudden movement, Kaizen moved like a torpedo towards the creature. With the Ragnarok Sword in hand.

This was the first time the creature had clearly seen Kaizen's advance, so it thought this was the perfect time to kill him as well. Maybe there wouldn't even be a second chance, considering how strong and reactive Kaizen proved to be. Therefore, the creature opened its mouth, creating a whirlpool of water towards its mouth.

However, this was exactly what Kaizen expected the monster to do. For this reason, Kaizen sped up even more and managed to enter the monsters mouth seconds before it closed its jaw with its sharp teeth.

Kaizen had to hold on to one of his teeth to avoid being swallowed with all the water and after a few seconds he could finally touch his feet to the monster's tongue.

Shrouded in the clammy, nauseating darkness of the creature's colossal interior, Kaizen found himself immersed in a world completely unlike anything he had experienced so far. Only the dim light coming from the Ragnarok Sword illuminated the darkness and allowed him to glimpse the claustrophobic environment around him.

The atmosphere was permeated with a nauseating smell, a combination of rot and distressing bodily fluids. The damp, fetid air made breathing difficult, causing Kaizen to have to control his urge to vomit.

The monster's tissues and internal organs stretched like grotesque labyrinths ahead, hanging and swaying with the creature's every move. And Kaizen could see that thick veins pulsed along the walls of flesh in the monsters mouth and throat. The walls were also sticky and slimy, as if covered in a gelatinous substance. This mucous membrane was everywhere, including on the tongue, hampering Kaizen's movements and sticking to his feet. It was a repulsive and uncomfortable sensation.

The muffled sound of the monster's heartbeat echoed throughout the room, an ominous pulsation that reverberated in his ears, as did its movements in the surrounding water.

"He hasn't opened his mouth yet to get me out of here, so does that mean he can't sense it?" Kaizen wondered, stepping on the same spot a few times to see if the creature reacted, but nothing happened. "He must be thinking he's managed to kill me."

Amidst this grotesque landscape, small parasitic creatures shaped like largatas wiggled frantically in Kaizen's direction. They were repulsive beings that fed on the monster's fluids. Their twisted, degraded forms were a living testament to the monstrosity of their surroundings.

Despite all this, the place was almost quiet and the noises around Kaizen were only interrupted by the sporadic sounds of the monster's digestion, which sounded like a roar coming from deep within the creature's bowels.

"I'm going to have to really explore this place, aren't I? Why couldn't the King's Sword be, I don't know, stuck in some part of this gigantic tongue?" Kaizen said as he brushed some goo off his shoulder.

However, Kaizen didn't have all the time in the world. So he opened his system and tried to log out, after all it had been hours since he and Andrew had entered the cabins. Luckily, since the few creatures around were extremely weak and the system understood that he was no longer in a battle, he was allowed to log out.
